    Hi Brett, I don’t remember which rules you have overseas, but in Europe, if you want to fly in an urban contest, you need to stay under 250gr., therefore the DJI mini is a must. I owned either Pro 2 , Pro 2 Zoom and Mini 1, but the Mini is the most used, in terms of circumstances. For me doing the upgrade to Mini 3 is almost a Must, especially due to Ocusync 3… which is completely missed on Mini 1

    • @Super-ot2mx
      @Super-ot2mx 2 года назад +1

      Absolutely wrong! If you want to fly a drone it does not matter how many GR the drones has. As long it has sensors or camera you have the same rules as a drone with 500 GR!

    • @mostosi1965
      @mostosi1965 2 года назад +6

      @@Super-ot2mx Hi man, sorry…I don’t want to start a discussion, but I know the rules in Europe, and in my Country that is part of it. The fact that a drone has a camera is right and you need to register it, but this is only a part of the story. Registering the drone, it doesn’t mean that you can use it within the urban area ( almost all medium and big cities are ), unless you ask a special permission. However, our laws stated that under 250gr you don’t need a EASA certification ( that requires an examination/ test ) and you can use the drone within the urban area ( if allowed ). If the drone is above this weight you need a certification, and you can’t fly within urban area, but you need to observe a specific distance and you can’t fly over groups of people.

    I like the air 2s better by far for the cost. I plan to post drone footage on RUclips so even if I get the 249g mini drone I get no benefit because I still have to have a part 107 remote pilot license because I would be monetizing the content. Given that the mini 3 pro has no benefits cost and license wise for me, I will be sticking with my air 2s for a while as I love the extra stability in wind, altitude climb in the mountains where I am, and the 10 bit d-log color. Good review of the two though!

    It's a tough call for me. I have an Air 2s (actually sold my M2P after I flew the A2s for a while) and a Mini 2. The Mini 2 is more for backup, trips where space is at a premium or when I want the drone to be less noticeable. That being said, I would love obstacle avoidance on the Mini! The extra flight time would be nice, but not a huge deal, as I tend to plan my flights/shoots ahead of time and flight time is usually not much of an issue. Thanks for the informative video!

    In the uk you won't be able to fly anything over the 250g within 150m of buildings or uninvolved people from January 2023 this includes the a2s unless you pass a line of sight exam (£400)and then get a yearly licence from the caa (£200) as legacy drones the a2 certificate used now ( £70-£100)will no longer apply except to new class certified drones in the a2 category you will only be able to fly in the a3 category till January 2025. Unless they give retrospective classification to the likes of a2s, mavic 2 etc which is doubtful.

It’s about he same price as the rc pro including a drone. Yes it doesn’t include all of the rc pro features, such as the 5d button, and the ability to load other apps (right now), but is that really a big deal?

    Air 2S all the way. MUCH better deal. At Costco for under 1,000 with a second battery. Better build quality, 1"inch sensor, 4 way obstetrical avoidance (mini3 only 3 way), master shot, way points, tracking, Air Sense, plus plus most important of all, a lot better in the wind because of it's size. The Mini 1 and 2 are floaty in the smallest breeze, the Air 2s is much more stable. Have no interest in virtual video, more of a marketing gimmick,

    • @proflex310
      @proflex310 2 года назад +3

      Better build quality, how do you know ? 1 inch sensor is a gimmick on the Air 2S because of the shitty optics that blur edges and the corners of the frame, 4 way obstacle avoidance is a 3 way actually, because when the done flies, upper sensors look forward. Master shots are available on the Mini 3. Waypoints on the Air 2S ??? Tracking and the air sense are present too on the Mini 3.

      Mini 3 is 3 way obstacle avoiding. And doesn’t let the size fool you. If you search in RUclips you will find a video that Air2 was lost in the sea because it wasn’t capable of flying against the strong wind, but the mini2 that was filming the review got back to the beach at the same time.

    Yeah that’s really my dilemma also.
    I never owned a Drone but recently I had decided on the Air2s due to it, having obstacle avoidance, tracking and a great camera and it was a good price for the Flymore Combo.
    It wasn’t as small as I liked since I originally wanted to get a very small drone for traveling etc but nothing from DJI could do what the Air2s could for the money I wanted to spend.
    So now we see the DJI 3Pro release and it has all the features I want plus it’s small and even wih the new controller it’s still a fraction cheaper then the Air2s in the fly more combo so it seems and then it adds that battery with 40+ minutes 🤩…ohh nooo i can’t decide- help 😵‍💫🙏🏼
    So what to do..i must decide on something but which one?
    Everyone said get the Air2s because of being more stable in wind and has a better camera…..well there doesn’t seem to be a big difference between the two drones in that regard plus the ability to potentially stream from the Mini Pro to social media in conjunction with the vertical aspect ratios, does make the choice awfully difficult 🤷‍♂️🤔😵‍💫
    Which one should I choose?
    Being in the Philippines or in Australia the weight isn’t an issue as far as I know regarding license requirements etc…so any and all advise I would welcome 🤗

    i sold my mavic air wanting to upgrade to air 2s. but now I'm in dilemma. mini pro with a controller sounds like a better deal as long as the Maximum Takeoff Altitude is the same since i'm mostly flying in the Everest region

      The air 2s is way better overall it’s power is great it gains altitude quick and is way better in wind rain and bad weather plus a better camera in nearly every way minus dark it just makes sense only down side is battery life so you’ll need 2 batteries minimum if your serious about filming.

      @@ar12. Thank you for your suggestion. Hope to see the comparison video. Getting a RC controller with a screen for the same price is enticing. Setting up with phone is a hassle when you are on the move

      @@sidth78 yeah I know it’s tacky overall with setup and all but i can vouch that I’ve flown my air 2s in 50km/h wind and got amazing photos and video (I’ll have to upload some footage) I’ve also flown at higher altitudes it increases easily compared to a mini 2 I’ve flown before I can’t really describe it but the bigger drones have a sort of confidence about them when flying with a lot more stability but wait for the video comparison and you’ll see the difference but buy what’s practical for your situation.

    Based on the video I saw of the Mini 3 Pro the video quality looks the same aa the mini 2.

      I think it is a little better compared to the Mini 2, but we have to see raw footage. I think the Nano+ will stay King, certainly in low light scenario's😀That's why I keep my Nano+ for sure!🇳🇱

      @@gekoldronevideos Based on the footage I saw… it look the same as the mini 2. Maybe a bit better in low light but the definition is the same as the mini 2. But it could be the way they compressed the upload file.
