Well done young man. Your pace was quick, but easy to understand what you were saying. Your scoring was fair and if a viewer has one of the rating areas of one of these that is most important, he can get the one that wins the point in that area. I already have an Air2s and weight and size is not a problem for me. But if either of those parameters were important to me, I am sure I would be happy with the 3 PRO. And, you are right, the DJI RC controller is worth every penny for it. Thanks
Good video. My friend has both of these, I have the mini 3 pro. I find the RC controller is a lot more sensitive than using the RC-N1 so even in Cine mode with settings it’s not far off normal which with the mini 2 there was a significant difference. Little tip for you, number your batteries 1-2-3 then when you’re out you know which battery is used and which is next ready to go
Thanks David! I haven't noticed a difference in cine mode speeds when switching between the DJI RC and RC N1 on my both Mini 3 Pro and Air 2S, so I wonder if it could be a difference between the Mini 2 and the Mini 3 Pro. But it could be! And thanks for the battery tip! I've been a bit annoyed by the lack of battery level indicator LEDs on the Mini 3 Pro batteries, but that could definitely help.
56-year-old and just trying out drones bought a starter DJI Mini 2 SE a couple weeks ago while trying to decide which drone to get for quality. I am looking at these two exact drones as my choice. This video helped me so much and I’m ready to get the next drone already. Thank you for this detailed and straight forward video.
Yeah they downgraded mini2 to the se designation, when possible folks should really look for the regular mini 2 allowing 4k recording. Downloading the Litchi app really opens up the potential a bit closer to the air 2 model but still a far cry from the air 2S, best quality and performance for the money aside from the mini3 pro fits somewhere in between them all as well. Happy flying.
You forgot Precision Landing. The Air2S has an additional downward camera the Mini3Pro is lacking that allows it to land on a dime if you fallow the takeoff steps property. Also the Air2S has a downward lighting system.
Good point! I left out several differences, because I just couldn't put everything in, and for me being able to autoland on a dime isn't really something I use. But for some people that could make a difference!
Congrats for the precise, clear and unbiased comparison. Content, screenplay, copy write, indoor and outdoor scenarios as well as an excellent edition.
I watched this video and was super impressed by the quality. You should seriously have 10x the number of followers. I'm sure it will happen with time. Great job
Good comparison, both are good drones. And a lot of it comes down to how important a sub 250 gram drone is to you. And how important vertical video is to your workflow. If either one or both are, the Mini 3 is the clear choice. I tend to use the Mini 3 Pro with the plus battery more than the Air 2s because of the extend flight time. But don't get me wrong, the Air 2s is still the better drone in many ways, especially for flying in high winds. Thanks for sharing.
Good comparison. I do favor the Air 2s more since I own one. The biggest thing I seen with the Mini 3 primarily for me, was it was quieter, and the longer battery life stood out the most. I don't really care about the gamble rotating 90 degrees or not. I just would rather use my iPhone or even a tablet for watching what my drone was doing whether it was the Mini 3 or Air 2s. I currently own the Mini 2 as well and the Avata. I have seen a couple videos where people have literally just let the drone hover and I have never seen either of these drones pull off the times to the "Tee" of what they claim. However; longer flying times is also a plus and I know those times are more of an upsell than actual flight times of you using it in a normal matter and the deduction is only a couple minutes less at the most. Good Video Young man!
thanks, finally got the comparison review i was looking for. After months of research from some other youtubers, this is best straight to the point video and comparison. Surprise took youtube algorithm this long to finally show your video.
I just found out about this video by swiping through Google News' recommendations. Nice footage, good editing, and sound effects. Overall, you did a tremendous job. Congratulations! Keep up the great work.
Awesome comparison. Thank you for the detail and work you put into making it! I started with a Mini 3 Pro for real estate photo/video and love it, except for what you showed in the video - high winds cause the camera to jostle too much to be reliable in my area. I debated between the spendy Mavic 3 classic and Air 2s and went with the Air 2s and love it. It handles those ground winds at up to 40 mph gusts even when getting up to 400 feet. Video quality is great too…the only thing I miss about the Mini 3 pro is the ability to take vertical photos and video with just the two of the shutter - no extra editing required. Changing props on the Air 2s is much faster too. Again, awesome video…I wish I would have found it before buying!
Thank you! Really appreciate it. Glad you found it helpful! The Air 2S really is amazing in high winds. I have yet to change the props on my Mini 3 Pro, but I wasn't too thrilled with having to screw them off if/when I need to.
I'm buying my first drone, and then later on, I'm going to start a aerial drone photography business. I'm having a hard time choosing between the mini 3 Pro and the air 2s. Would you recommend the air 2s for me?
I bought my Air 2S when it first came out, so I have had it a while. Instead of upgrading the drone, I upgraded the controller and got the RC Pro controller. It was expensive, but it is the best controller out, and it is super bright, plus it is a regular Android device so you can load extra apps on it. It is worth upgrading to the RC Pro, instead of upgrading your drone. It turned my Air 2S into a beast of a drone.
Have both. Got the dji rc contoller to use for both. I use the air2s for any wedding video drone work in the US. If i am doing a destination wedding, the mini 3 pro is my go to
At first I was skeptical just seeing the intro but I have to say well put together and very well done. I have to agree with all the comments made about both quads. Nice Job.
Great video! I own both drones and Mini Pro 3 has been used most lately, because it’s so silent. Just wonderful to fly. But it struggels in wind, as you mention.
I agree. Have both too and find the Mini 3 flown more. For me is the lack of fear if something happens to the Mini 3, where if it happens to the A2S, I’m really hurt. I guess that is why I fly the M3 more. I could “lose” it.
Hi when u say struggling in wind how much wind speed are we talking about? I bought 3 pro but i feel like to change to air 2s after seeing its struggle and other comparison
@@pratikpinoakawolverine it struggles mainly with strong wind (12 m/s and up) in gusts, since it's so light. My Air 2S is solid in the same kind of wind.
First comparison I’ve seen where the author shows the same shot/video or image when comparing color profile or resolution! Good job! Hard to compare if it’s a completely different shot. Not sure which I’m going with yet at this point
Good comparison video. I had both and kept Mini 3 Pro over the Air 2s because of its size, weight, and less noisy. M3P is more compact and fits in my travel cases better. Caveat, other than to film real estate, I don’t use drones for other professional reasons. I’m also in SoCal where the weather is mostly good conditions to fly, so the m3p usually does not have an issue here.
IDK, I mean, in the video I tell what I think, for most ppl I would probably go with the Air 2S, but the Mini 3 Pro is great if you want something smaller!
Very nice video ! I had to he mini 3 pro for 1 year , sold it and now I have the air2s. I think I prefer the air 2s , looks more professional, stronger, durable, and the 5.4K it’s incredible. Just the controller I don’t like that much but we can upgrade.
I’m just getting into flying drones. I have a relatively cheap one right now so I can learn to fly it. However I feel I will want to upgrade so I’m able to film some cool things. That of course will be a completely new learning curve. Great video! I’ll be watching some more of your videos to learn.
I am not sure why your Mini 3 was stopping so much on active track. I did an extreme active track test on my channel and as you can see it works so well following me on a bike on a trail. Great video and information 👍
I noticed slightly better range when using the NC-R1 controller with the Mini 3 Pro rather than the DJI RC controller. It's not a big difference but I do get better performance from the NC-R1 and think that might be where the added range of the AIR 2S comes from in this test.
Getting ready to upgrade after I pass my 107. This makes me want to spend the extra money for the Air 2s. Great review. All buisness and I like that. I liked and subscribed. wil look at your other vids as time allows. You have a great YT presents. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful! If you're really into hiking and mountain biking and size and weight matter, I think I'd go with the Mini 3 Pro because the whole kit is more compact and quite a bit lighter. The Air 2S isn't a bad choice either though!
I also HAD both of these drones, but the Air 2S went back to the store because the battery life was absolutely terrible compared to my Mini 3 Pro. I was getting 26 minutes at 100% and by the time I was to my shot I was at 80% and it was warning me to land after maybe 18 total minutes in the air. Yes, I am aware of the camera and advantages of the 2S, but for me personally, if I can't keep the thing in the air for longer than 15-18 minutes in wind and have to keep dropping it for battery changes, that just isn't going to work for me. I have also been shopping the Mavic 3 and the Classic because I need the battery life after my 2S experience, so I at least now know that much. So, I think I will be enjoying my Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pros for now and see what the next generation brings me.
I guess for me, starting with drones like the Phantom 3, the flight time on the Air 2S isn't anything out of the ordinary, so I don't really notice it.
Wow, nice video. I just found your channel and subscribed. I have the Air 2S but am most likely getting the Mini 3 Pro too, due to the noise factor and being able to fly it in areas where the Air 2S might be a bit too loud. Great comparative video, you nailed it. Bravo!
I have both, the AIR 2S Fly More Combo with RC Controller, & Mini 3 Pro with RC Controller..you can buy the Refurbished Mini 3 Pro with RC Controller for $729 from the DJI Store. That's what I did & I will always buy refurbished from now on. You literally couldn't tell the difference between new and Refurbished. The batteries & accessories are brand new with zero cycles, same 1 year factory warranty & with refurbished you can still get the Care Refresh Plan.
Great video, but I have to point something out. The mini 3 is compatible with the rc pro. I have a RC pro and I was able to fly my friends mini 3 with it.
Fantastic comparison, very easy to follow. I'm deciding which drone i want to get between these 2, but being in Europe, i might just go with the mini 3 pro.
Thanks! Glad you found it useful! Sounds like a solid choice. You might also check out some of the newer drones like the Mavic 3 Classic that have a C1 label.
@@flyingfilmmaker i have actually ended up getting the DJI Mavic 3 Classic fly more combo and i'm loving it! Powerful motors, doesn't even feel the wind, very stable and 4k video is more than enough quality for me.
Great video, thanks! And i really mean it. I’ve been considering to buy my first drone since last year to capture my family holidays. Your video really helps to give me option outside of DJI minis. I know I’m a beginner at drones, but I know a thing or two about photography. I want my purchase future proof and gives me the best value of my budget.
the main reason for me for the Mini is the vertical gimbal feature which is VERY nice to have when u do a lot of social media posts. And as u can buy the Mini Pro also without any controller and it can be used with the Standard controller of the AIr2S as well its a great option for a second Drone to have for social media and travel.
Yep, that is a very handy feature. I actually did exactly that, just got the Mini 3 Pro without controller and used it with my AIr 2S controller. But after a while one of my controllers broke, so I decided to get the DJI RC and now I use my second RC N1 as a backup.
I can definitely see where the inspiration for this video and channel must be from but You've done a solid job ! Very good video and information nicely shown. Good job ! 😄
Good video- i like it because you pointed out the subjects that matters for me as a AIR2S owner and thinking about the need for the smaller drone because of regulations. But i do Love my 1 inch sensor though…
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful!! There definetly are some tradeoffs to getting the smaller drone, but if it makes it so you can fly more, I'd say it's worth it!
Really good test! Great job man! I have now my SECOND Mavic Air 2s. This drone is amazing and really durable. I crash it many times but after one year I totally damage it in crash with tarmac in sport mode. I got new one from DJi. MA2s - best drone ever! 😃
Air S2 fly more is on sale right now. $1039. Normal price is $1299. I am currently using the mini 1 (yes it's old lol) I may pull the trigger on the Air S2
Thanks! My main camera is a Canon R6. Fantastic all round camera, but I'd recommend the R6 II over the original R6 because the original has overheating issues.
I agree with almost everything you said, except controller options. DJI RC? I'll pass on that one. The thought never even crossed my mind to use my phone? I picked up an iPad mini 6 dedicated to use with the standard Remote. That way I'm not stuck with that tiny little screen and it can be upgraded and replaced. There's even cool a pocket in the DJI case it fits perfectly. Just my opinion.
Yeah, I definitely see where you're coming from. I used to use a 10 inch tablet with the Phantom controllers, but for me it's just more handy to only have 1 single piece of gear for the controller. But do whatever works best for you! 🙌
In essence, the mini 3 pro is perfect. Yes it’s underpowered in certain weather conditions but with good pro camera settings and vertical video which saves losing video quality because you have to crop videos on other landscape Filming drones, it’s perfect for creators and reels. You can colour grade the footage to match other high end drones for a cheaper price. Also the fact laws are practically non existent on drones under 250grams makes it a no brainier to buy.
Yep, I'd agree it's a pretty great deal if it ticks all the boxes for you! I'm still amazed by what they crammed into such a small drone (remember the first Mini?).
Nice, concise presentation. Great pacing. All the relevant parameters covered. Useful information in the lower thirds. Overall, incredibly helpful. Subscribed.
I own both of those drones. I bought the Mini 3 Pro because of the DJI remote. Now that the Air 2S is compatible, I wish I would have saved my money. But, the Mini 3 Pro is a nice drone and I think anyone would be happy with it. Oddly enough, I do fly the Mini 3 Pro more often, but for an odd reason, and that's the hard case have for both of them. My Air 2S case is set up to hold the original remote and the Mini 3 Pro case is set up to hold the DJI remote. If I want to fly the Air 2S with the DJI remote, I have to take both cases / drones since the DJI remote doesn't fit in the Air 2S case.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Noise is really a big factor!
Great video, but I have to point something out. The mini 3 is compatible with the rc pro. I have a RC pro and I was able to fly my friends mini 3 with it.
Thanks for the info! Somehow missed that! 👍
10:50 bro is a color grade master🔥
Thanks man! That's making things "cinematic".
Nice Video, but here in germany the Mini 3 Pro can also do 48 MP photos?! So it is better thant the 20 MP from your Ait 2 S, isnt it?
As I mentioned in the video the 48MP isn't really 48MP quality. More like upscaled 12MP. So I'd say the full quality 20MP is better.
Is it allowed in Germany to fly with the Air 2S without a license ? Is there any advantage for the Mini 3 Pro in Germany?
Great video, thanks! And i really mean it. I’ve been considering to buy my first drone since last year to capture my family holidays. Your video really helps to give me option outside of DJI minis. I know I’m a beginner at drones, but I know a thing or two about photography. I want my purchase future proof and gives me the best value of my budget.
Thanks! So glad to hear that it was helpful!!
Holy shit!!! That's a hell of channel! +1 subscriber! I really loved your videos.
Glad you enjoyed it!
the main reason for me for the Mini is the vertical gimbal feature which is VERY nice to have when u do a lot of social media posts.
But after a while one of my controllers broke, so I decided to get the DJI RC and now I use my second RC N1 as a backup.
good breakdown and really well approached
...thank you very much..... Greetings and blessings from South Germany.. 👋🙂
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! I have grandparents in Germany, so I've been there several times! Beautiful country!
the better closer comparsion is the MIni 3 pro vs the Mavic Air 2?
In some ways it is closer, but I'd choose either of these drones over the Air 2 because it doesn't have 10 bit log.
Great video. Excellent pacing and fair point system. I have both and really just need one so I was contemplating returning the Mini 3.
Thanks Juan! Glad you enjoyed it! If you don't feel like the extra features on the Mini 3 are something you need, might as well go with the Air 2S!
I can definitely see where the inspiration for this video and channel must be from but You've done a solid job ! Very good video and information nicely shown. Good job ! 😄
Haha, thanks, really appreciate it Sebastian!
Love the video.. I been trying to upgrade my Mavic Air 1. I think I'll get the air 2s.
Solid choice!
Awesome comparison, cant wait for your comparison of Air2s vs their nevest Air when it comes out.
Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to getting my hands on an Air 3 when they release it!
@@flyingfilmmaker xD Did you see the leaks? Gonna comment on them?
@@SiRedCat certainly have! I don't know if I'll make a video on the leaks, but it sure looks like it's shaping up to be an awesome drone!
Really great video, straight forward, super helpful! Thank you
Thanks Tim! Really appreciate it.
Thank you so much 💓 sir from India 🇮🇳 😘😘😘
Thinking about getting the air 2s, your video was very helpful.
Thanks!! Glad you found it useful!!
Really good test! Great job man! I have now my SECOND Mavic Air 2s. This drone is amazing and really durable. I crash it many times but after one year I totally damage it in crash with tarmac in sport mode. I got new one from DJi. MA2s - best drone ever! 😃
Mini 3 pro vs Air 2s which best drone...?
Great video my boy! Subscribed and wish you luck 😉!
Thanks! Appreciate it!
No bullshit straight to the point video. Well done mate!
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice and unbiased video💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Perfect comparison. Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Air S2 fly more is on sale right now. $1039. Normal price is $1299. I am currently using the mini 1 (yes it's old lol) I may pull the trigger on the Air S2
Btw, awesome comparison
Yeah! Really great deal if you ask me! My guess is that it's because the Air 3 is coming soon though.
And thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
You’re going places kid
Thanks!
Great comparison, which camera do you use to shoot indoor.? Your footage looks really good 🙂
hatsoff amazing comparison dear brother
Thanks!! Glad you liked it!
Why not both? is what I said right before buying both.
Well, that's what I did, although not both at once!
You are a Supreme Gentleman
Epic review & comparison my man, keep it up!
I also do aerial videography with DJI Air 2S some of them in my channel, and I learned a lot from your channel. thank you so much!🤞
thank you for your video! it is very informative!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌
Very easy to sum up. One blows away and one does not. One is an expensive toy the other not👍
Naše gore list, bravo top primerjava!
Wow you deserve way more subscribers than you have, great content man
Thanks Antonio!! We're working on getting there!
Obrigado pelo conteúdo, Abraço de Portugal
Obrigado! Que bom que você gostou.
Great comparison! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
i have no words to describe this video… thank you so much brother 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice, concise presentation. Great pacing. All the relevant parameters covered. Useful information in the lower thirds. Overall, incredibly helpful. Subscribed.
Thanks Tim! Really appreciate it! Glad you found it useful!!
Yeah speed and ease of transporting and getting the drone in the air makes a big differnce!
Imagem quality at night is not a surprise because the air 2S has a larger sensor but an FSTOP of 2.8, where the Mini 3 has an FSTOP of 1.7
