From "Parks & Recreation": a mockumentary series following Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Seeing Ron happy to talk to Leslie and get lunch with her then subsequently being stood up is actually one of the saddest moments on television

This is one of the saddest things I ever saw. It just brings tears to my eyes.
Ginsberg & Wong. A restaurant that was in Toronto Canada. I tried kicking that door down when it closed. Chinese and deli food. Induvial drinks came in a pitcher, with free refills. Portions were HUGE. I still get angry and sad ("sangry"?) when I think about it. I think about it a lot.
Sangry is now a term I shall adopt into my vocabulary. Thank you.

he says he cried twice, yet he seems to cry in almost every clip
He staves it off in most every clip. Trying to remain stoic. Being hit by a bus and lil Sebastian's death were to my mind the only two times he'd wept openly.

Ron reading the poem on a scottish mountain is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen.
That episode has cinematography that gives saving private ryan a run for it's money
This is the first time I've seen it think imma cry 😭
funnily enough, I'm Scottish and I was there the other week. Behind the shot is the 'American Monument' which was paid by the American Red Cross to commemorate the American lives lost in World War 2 due to the wrecking of the SS Tuscania and the HMS Otranto off the coast.
What the actual phuck? He was here? And I didn’t know? Gutted. I live up in the Highlands, between the Isle of Skye and the castle from Highlander (Eilean Donan). I haven’t seen episodes after series 2 ended. I’ll need to go watch now.
I hate how that obnoxious belching noise at the end ruins the more quiet somber moments of these compilations.
When Ron reads the poem it's just so emotional and beautiful. I love it so much.
The one moment you missed was Ron running out of his office screaming “I love nothing!”

That last one never fails to get me. It's like when Michael Scott left the office but somehow more emotional
It’s because parks and rec is simply more human. The least human person in the whole show is Chris, closely followed by Ron. But Nick Offerman put on such a performance that it suspended our disbelief.
@@Eljacob0 incredibly, this makes so much sense. Genuinely. I always cry on that last scene, always. There's just something about it that hits my feels so hard.

When Ron was shot in a head I wonder if that's a real 20 year old North Port or just a prop. The distillery was closed and demolished in 1993, and last bottles now are sold on auction for thousands, if you can even find one.

That last part hits. It's an opportunity passed up and you can't imagine how different something would've went, if it were out of your control or if it was. I told my girlfriend that no matter what, I dont wish I had changed a single thing in my life if it hadn't led me to her, every decision I ever made led me to her and I won't regret it.

I wonder if there is a real Mulligan's? And I don't mean what its based on in the show, but one that serves those kind of steaks in 2021!
St. Elmo Steak House is probably the best real life equivalent in Indianapolis now.

There's actually a steakhouse called Sullivan's that had a ton of boxing paraphernalia and old pictures in it just like the poster for Mulligan's. Sadly they remodeled in 2019 so the boxing stuff isn't there, but it's a better steak house than St Elmo's.
