Honestly, it's kind of impressive that even has hard as they were data mining the town, Ron is so far off the grid they still couldn't dig up anything on him and had to fall back on his kid.
Yeah but....BAD MOVE. Ron's not the kind of guy you go SEARCHING for. Least of all his family. He's basically the red neck country-style American version of Liam Neeson...three times as dangerous.
Yes but unfortunately Ron is a hypocrite. He says he is a libertarian but he has quite the authoritarian streak, what he said about Gryzzl being a private company was true and his wife using their software on her computer gives them the right to access the info she puts in to their database. Lots of third party browser, security and privacy minded software exists for those who are willing to put in the effort. No one is forcing Ron or his family to use proprietary software.
@@Cyril29a when does it say that Diane uses Gryzzl software on her computer? A subtle thing i love about the scene with Ron is the drone has 3 shot patterns in it. Meaning presumably, that Ron shot both barrels into the thing and then reloaded and gave it a coup de grâce. Seems pretty Ron.
Excellent observation. I could point out that none of those seem to be of correct orientation for shooting down a hovering bot and that the wad-hole would not show up on anything but paper or tinfoil.
All those dents are in the top tho, he likely would have shot it from the ground. So all those dents are probably him unloading on it out of anger after he already shot it down.

the point is everyone else signed the T&Cs accepting to lose their privacy, but not Ron's 4 year old or his parents on his behalf so that's crossing the line.
One of my favorite parts of the last season was introducing Gryzzl as the main antagonists of the the last season, it really gave a lot higher stakes towards the final season and I think made the feud Ron and Leslie have a more indearing and coming of age vibe to it

I live in a small town, much like the fictional Pawnee. But, I must say, this is what politics is really like in small towns. Sure, it's a bit exaggerated but, pretty on point. When they chanted, "we're not against you on this!" I died. 😂
The scary thing about this is that it’s not science fiction, sure it’s a bit dramatised, but companies like Google are basically going this exact thing.
This compilation is great, though I don’t know how you could forget to include the essence of why Gryzzl came to Pawnee in the first place. It’s about the cones.
ironically, I got interested to see more about Gryzzl so I started typing on the search bar and when I reached the word parks, it immediately auto completes to "parks and rec gryzzl"...
Ron is the best example of an American Libertarian, he's okay with corporate tyranny until it directly affects him. Parks & Recs really did do a good job at portraying the flip-flop of "libertarians" who years ago said "corporations are people" and that "government should be run like a business", only to start complaining about Big Tech years later even though "libertarians" set the groundwork for their total domination.

Andy is technically right that there is buried treasure in Pawnee considering that Ron has buried all his wealth somewhere in town.
Probably under that oak tree. But maybe not. Or is it? It's not.
You have said too much.
Pfft he’s not gonna bury his treasure in the GROUND where ANYONE can find it.

De Grâce isn't that a Canadian teen drama from the early 2000s?
I like to believe Ron Swanson walked from his house to Leslie's in the rain holding a shotgun and a dead drone.
He did
Wouldn't be Ron Swanson, or at least a Swanson if he or anyone didn't do that
It was likely a clear night until Ron brought the thunder with him

That seems like a Ron thing to do.

That AI bug makes and the drone shot scene makes me want a Parks and Rec sequel spin off where it's Ron vs an AI apocalypse on the scale of Skynet.
Its him running the national park and the last half is him facing off against the AI apocalypse started by an off brand amazon company
He'd have wiped out Skynet halfway through the first season. Sooner, if he cuts back on the bacon breaks
