I am 78 years old and met him at JD’s in Scottsdale in the 60’s and got his autograph. My husband and I danced to his singing so many times. We even took my mom and sister to hear him. My mom was really impressed and my sister said he’s going to get famous. Sure enough it came true. Of all the greats out there he reigned supreme.

He was such a great entertainer @ guitarist also .l loved the late great Waylon Jennings. There shall never be another Waylon Jennings he had it all, the good looks and sexy voice that no one shall ever be able to duplicate, not for a long time to come. I miss Waylon so much also to think that he died on the 13th of February 2002 .He was taken away from us all far to early in his short life , but none shall compare with our Waylon. He had such a unique style voice that no one shall ever be able to duplicate in anyway no matter how much they try as he was a GENIUS and a true LEGEND in our lives Sue .l hope you do not mind me writing this text to you .kind regards being sent to you from Elizabeth in Scotland ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@ELIZABETHHUGHES-l7u I'm very glad you wrote your comment, Elizabeth. I agree with every word. I depend on Waylon's music to get me thru some rough days. His voice can make me feel good even when I don't want to, when I listen to his upbeat music, but I love pretty much everything he did. Slow, fast, sad, happy, heartbreaking, thought provoking, biographical, nonsense, bluesy, and the whole show. His appeal was/is worldwide!! What a talent! Best regards right back to you... you kinda made my day (you and Waylon).

@The867530969 - i agree, however as for it being a long time before we see talent like that again- to be totally honest I do not think we will EVER see the likes of talent such as this EVER again. Thank God that these wonderful men left us thier legacy on record for all the generations to come!

having grown up with those ledgens i have felt a loss with each of them passing. very few songs or artist can stir any form of emotions in me. all most all of the newer cw artist sound alike with no distinctive voices. all of the greats from that era you could tell imediately when you heard them on the radio.
