Mido rules the CATHEDRAL of Shadows. V features the WORLD of Shadows, so they had to switch over to Sophia

I think what would've been great is if there was a little Mido statuette in the WoS, or a faint shadow in the distance that looks like his silhouette

One thing I'm noticing now is that the same or similar apparatus is used to fuse demons, glass tubes filled with fluids that feed into a central device with a summoning circle, even digital mido has the apparatus digitized. 2 games however don't have the usual machine those being smt 3 and smt 5 where the protag is a demon and a god respectively. In those games demon fusion became more occult or mystical, coincidence?
I do love that we never are let into it but it also is obvious....this is the same guy everytime, he's an omnipresent being whos power surpasses that of YHVH by far just like Steven. like we have seen an inkling of these people's power in Apocalypse when Steven just styles on you
I dig the idea that Mido and Stephen are bros who are transcendant beings of unfathomable power, and just hang out and talk about demons and shit
Thanks for making this. I always like seeing all the different fusion animations. My favorite ones tend to be the ones that happen inside a program like the ones in SMT IV, Devil Survivor 2 and Strange Journey. I also liked how you seemed to use the highest amount of demons possible for the fusions in this video (triple fusions whenever possible and a 4 fusion in SMT IV). That reminds me that in Strange Journey you need to fuse Seraph with a fusion that includes 8 demons.
OMG! Can't believe that the SMT1 PSX translation came out just a few days ago.... as I'm about to finish the SNES version for the first time :(
And i had to beat GBA/iOS version... PSX would be waaaaaaaaaay better... I hope they will translate If...

Kyuhaku Megami Tensei has my favorite animation, but I never expected IMAGINE's to be so mellow lol.

I can listen to that SMTIV Demon Fusion Tutorial over and over again. David Lodges Voice acting makes just listening to that dry explanation so much fun. I hope we get Mido back in SMT VI.

In 4 he says that he was originally a man fascinated with demons and became a digital entity.
According to the wiki, Mido has transcended the cycle of Transmigration and become a being similar to a Buddha. Like Stephen.
@@bodhisattva-p Yeah I think he's essentially one with the Great Reason (much in the same way Stephen is). I want a Mido Super Boss fight so bad man.
Maybe he his an entity who got help from Stephen to gain the art of demon fusion because Stephen wanted to see humanities potential. He helped Mido travel from one universe to another to help the main characters.
I also love me some Victor from Goumaden Hotel/Cruise ship & hopes that he makes a glorious 3D return in Soul Hackers 2.
Also, who or what handled all of the demon fusions in the Last Bible series; Majin 2; Giten; Ronde & Digital Devil Saga duology?

I know this is not entirely related to Mido, the CoS, the Great Reason & demon fusion, but has there ever been a Megaten game besides SMT IV where the demons can level up? The Raidou games perhaps?

Most games post SMT 3 allow demons to level up.
The IV duology, V, Strange Journey, the Devil Survivor games, Persona games from 3 onwards, Raidou games (I'm not sure about those but I think they do)...
