6:15 Stuff like this reminds me why this is my favorite series. I just love all the thought and reasoning that has gone into every little detail, such to the extent that we would never be able to guess it ourselves if we weren't told. It just shows they really care about it. None of this is necessary at all. This level of thought put into the design is only there because they genuinely enjoy it. You don't see that with alot of things today.

I really like the meta information that he's based on the guy who designed the fusion system, among other things. Find that more fascinating than any inlore explanation that can be. He's literally the guy who created it, how much more outside the circle of transmigration can you be?

I would assume that the manor is always the same "place," it just has multiple entrances, similar to the (ugh) World of Shadows. I don't think it was purely a matter of saving money in the production of nocturne that Mido always has the same voice or appearance, it would be inconsistent aesthetically, and Atlus is primarily about aesthetics. Consider too, the amala drum and its implications, sacred simulacra tokyo, domains (not quite the same), captain jack's pocket dimension in strange journey, and that Mido becomes a digital entity in a digital world, and all that really changes is that you don't have to find a door to talk to him. Its already canon that this kind of situation for a being is possible, especially one as rad as mido.

Aren't terminals located in the expanse? Maybe cathedrals are also located in the expanse and that's why you can access them in different locations in material world and even create one digitally. I always assumed people like Steven were not bound by a physical body and are more like an identity who can manifest in our world.

Not sure if it’s canon, but in SMT imagine there were the cathedral of shadows researchers that all had a very similar appearance to Mido.

I hope to see Mido as a boss. I'd love the idea of him summoning your exact Demons plus 1-2 pre set ones. I don't want him to be an impossible super boss though.
Mido is pretty powerful when you think about it. Guy is equal to Stephen. That's no joke at all.
But what's more impressive is raidou and demi fiend.
Mido himself admitted that he can't handle raidou. And mid game demi fiend stalemated raidou. That's some real sh*t right there. If the noucturn version of the demi fiend fought Stephen in smt 4 apocalypse he would've owned Stephen real bad.

I think that Mido has the same transiance as Stephen. However I believe their power's are vastly different.
I soo Mido as a Neutral Alignment rep on the power of something like Michael, smt 1 Asura, ect. Maybe Metatron or Belzebub tier. But I don't see above that.

And in 4a, it's supposed to be them at their end game's except Kazuya/The Hero/SMT 1 Protagonist. His if later early game. However he's scaled up to Nanashi because he observed Nanashi and poofed back into existence. Although, that's more of an educated guess from the quick dialogue before the fight.

Mido, alone with Stephen and Saint Germaine were said to trancand the cycle of death and rebirth (yhvh)
And they're the only ones that were said to be in touch with the Axiom and they can comprehend its existence. So it kinda makes sense to put them at the same level.
After all, they trancanded YHVH's cycle and are in touch with the Axiom.

Noucturn demi fiend became a true demon. Already implying he's stronger than the messiahs.
Also he kinda did all of this in 12 hours while the others took a month and slightly less. So Naoki kinda has much more potential than the others

The way how Mido's fingers curls in his Nocturne artwork. I think it's more a nod to the benediction hand gesture found in some Christian iconography. This would keep in the "Heresy" trend that the Cathedral of Shadows sells, since the master of demon fusion is giving a blessing typical of people close to God

Does Nintendo have somewhat of a hold on the newer SMT games or do they just choose to be exclusive on there? I hate that 4 and 4A are 3DS exclusives and aren't fully 3D like Nocturne. And seeing that SMT 5 is a Switch exclusive, has Atlus/Sega have a deal with Ninty for mainline?
Everyone mainline smt game was a Nintendo exclusive except nocturne so basically Sony has persona and Nintendo has smt. No one care if you hate smt 4 and 4 A they are great games not every game has to be 3d to be good.
@@Tsukune2001 Didn't say I hated 4 and 4A I said I hate that they're exclusive to the 3DS lmfao, good thing Citra exists. And it's just a personal preference on the 3D part.
