Power Armor spawns change based on your level, you can use this as a guide for any full sets you want, if you happen to have a bad spawn your best bet is to leave the area and level up a few more times before returning.
Power armor is definitely nice early game, but it has its down sides. The first being it's loud and clunky and basically eliminates any stealth options and the second is you miss out on the stat bonuses from clothing and armor. Not to mention if you unlock ballistic weave, power armor kinda becomes obsolete.

But with the new update you can make an unarmed build with the Tesla coils from the robot dlc and the X02 armor with Tesla coils on and you have a great unarmed power armor. Bonus if you keep enclave paint for strength and making the light blue to match the Tesla coils

Typically my plan is screw around until level 15 then go to the one next to pickman for my delicious t-51 armor, then it’s cake for the rest of the game

There’s an overpass between the Corvega plant and College Square. From the road you can see a crashed vertibird and a utility lift. Ride the lift and next to the vertibird is a PA spawn point. It’s level dependent but it’s always complete and in perfect condition. 😃
After 30 mins of searching I found the road you're talking about. For anyone else looking it's quickest to go to grey garden then towards the homestead. The overpass will touch the ground on your left and once you head up you can't miss it. Happy hunting survivors

You forgot about getting X01 power armor parts 🤖 from the Atom Cats. You have to sleep and wake up multiple times untill the Atom Cats have X01 power armor parts 🤖 to sell.
For Raider Power Armor, you have a CHANCE to get a full set in The Glowing Sea in a cave called CAVE at the very bottom of the map. No raiders, just Power Armor and some glowing mushrooms.
Alternatively, grab the suit of PA from Concord, go to Nuka World, go to the Star Zone, use the PA glitch to gain access to the suit of Mark VI Quantum X-01, take all of the pieces, use the PA glitch to get back out, leave with what is basically the best suit of PA in the entire damn game.
Playing Fallout 4 since november 2015. I have some 12.000 hours... Beside the Minutemen start mission I NEVER again used a power Armor. Main 2 reasons: - Legendary body armor pieces and Clothing are NOT active while wearing Power Armor. - With max updates(and Legendary) combat armor, headware, and clothing can provide 330+ armor protection and 100+ Anti-Radiation values.

Now, after more than 10.000 hours of "correct" Fallout 4, I just mod myself into level 50 and, yeah I cheat / skip the beggining to just have fun ...
If you can get to Far Harbor (you can get there pretty early) going down the western road out of Far Harbor, you will eventually get to a trailer with a complete set of T-51 painted in Vim Refresh colors. Not the prettiest, but still pretty neat. It's a good set to clear out the Vim factory to get the other Vim T-51 set painted in the red Vim paint job, which is much nicer-looking. While there, you might be able to get the Vim recipes from the R&D dept. terminal, and be able to make your own Vim pop, rads-free.
And if you find any incomplete set of any PA that isn't X-01 go check the Atom cats garage, they sell individual parts from raider PA to T-60 You should be able to find them going along the coast over quincy on the map, is a red rocket surrounded by water so it sticks out quite a lot, do a Quick mission for them and the store should be available
@@anyonebutl there's 3 trucks I think, look carefully also it doesn't spawn it's just already there I'm just recommending to go at level 25 because every power armor requires a certain level to come in a full set if not you fill find it with half armor

The only time I use it is when I go to the glowing sea for Virgil. Otherwise base combat armor with deep pockets is all I need for most of the game till you get the marine armor
In my current playthrough I got a full pre-war set of X-01 Power Armor at the South Boston Checkpoint. I was so happy because, It was my first time getting a hold of the X-01.
If you do Ada’s quest and go to the rust devil lair you can find a dull set of x-01 power armor. Also the best way to beat custom house tower easily is to level up your intelligence enough until you get the ability to hack robots and tank a couple hits to shut the sentry and assaultron down then make them self destruct for their components.
Or you could go to the glowing sea during the Echos of the Past mission and kill a lot of Enclave soldiers to get a full X-O2 suit off of their corpses
That T-45 at the beginning near Pickmen gallery will be a T-51 if you’re level 15 and above when you get in the area. Getting T-51 is more important as it is rarer than T-45.
The X02 is also located in a quest called the devil or something you basically have to grab a bunch of radio tapes blah blah and you eventually get to the hideout and can get the armor for free (you wanna have good guns and power armor already it’s a big fight)
I literally was accompaning Ada for the first time. Almost out of ammo, I came across the first location and found a full set of T51 inside. It didn't even need the expert terminal perk. Needless to say that saved me a lot of time and planning.
To defeat the assaultron and Century all you have to do is get about 6 plasma mines for each play some at each individual door just don't cross the middle of the room otherwise you will trigger the battle
Just do the beginning of the minutemen quests by heading to Lexington(just down the road from the red rocket) and you can get an ok set of T-45 power armor along with a machine gun and half used fusion core
I just steal the t60 pieces from the brothehood by taking their core out and going inside their armor, then taking them to a red rocket and hooking them up to an empty frame
Just restarted my first playthrough due to some issues and having both the X-02 and enclave mk II power armor is nice as hell. Especially with the insane amounts of fusion core’s I’ve found
I did this at level 43 and the first two were complete suits of t-51s. The third was set of t-45 missing the right arm and helmet. And the X01 was full set of m3 upgraded.
@@PrimeMrCosmic I think it also has something to do with which power armors you have already. I had two sets of t-60 from the atomic cats cause I harvest so much water from sanctuary hills. Then I had a set of t-51 from scavenged parts and parts and a frame from atomic cats. And then I had a full set of t-45 and another set of t-45 missing the left arm.
You can also find 2 other full sets. If you have the nuka World dlc in the nuka Galaxy area, there's a full set of X-01, which I think he showed at the beginning it's at the entrance you'll have to get around 31 star cores it's hard. For the T-51, there's a nuka cola somewhere. idk I think it's in the world of refreshment locked behind a terminal, I think. Goodluck😊
Something I wish that was reflected in the game’s difficulty and survival was scarcity of items. Like the higher the difficulty the less available stuff is requiring better resource management.
I had so many sets of various power that i set up around my homebase that it looked like an army ready to fight. I just collected them because i had on the best set i could find.
Late game just pepper sprayed me with so many X-02 and hellfire pieces after update I could probably make minutemen into iron scourge of the wasteland.
early in my play though a group of some faction got killed by some super mutants and dropped a fully upgraded set of power armor so that was a good start
That is also that one straight west from red rocket, left from the naval base with a big satelite dish, in a crashed plane. I got that one 5 minutes into the game, yeah, it's the same as the one you find with the minutemen in Concord, but hey, free power armor
Remember a combat shotgun or really good up close weapon for the rare occasions you don't stealth soon enough or before you get the stealth perk high enough
You can also get some Mk 5 hellfire armor by doing enclave missions, a bit difficult but gets pretty easy around the end. Also get a full set of XO2 armor doing this
After I completed the game I came to the T60 spawn and woah and behold a brotherhood squad was right there and when I went in the truck to see if it was there they took the suit…
I have a room dedicated to power armor sets. Like 12 sets all displayed with display cases in the middle that has random stuff like fusion cores and extra helmets. Its pretty cool if i do say so myself lol
Easier way to do that for the X-01. High level, go to National Guard Training yard in the back behind the wrecked vertibird and guard station, youll see a stack of shipping containers in there youll find a locked cage with a free set. Next Lock pick the big building at the back of the same location and inside youll find another level scaled of power armor though that one is usually not a full set. Secondarily the south boston checkpoint usually has a full set locked up as well.

That one is also level based iirc. I did automatron at lvl 50 so i got X-01, but on another playthrough i did the dlc underleveled and only got T-60

You do know you can just hop in the suit and ft and get the suit you used to get in and have both suits
I raid places for even just raider PA plates so this definitely helpful, and I got the enclave creator club mod and I raid them for plates too

With the big update, there are now 4 Enclave camps, with multiple guys in Enclave power armor.
In the military truck you dont need to be at level 25 but ITS PREFERRED YOU DO GO AT LEVEL 25

All of the spawns are based on your level. If you want better armor, you have to level up.

You can also find a set in the military base, you'll have to kill 2 gunners too

You can also find 2 other full sets. Let your companion fall on the lower balcony, sentry follows and can’t get up. You really just need the buttons behind to open it.
Something I wish that was reflected in the game’s difficulty and survival was scarcity of items. Like the higher the difficulty the less available stuff is requiring better resource management.

I found full X-02 at the National Guard base while helping Nordhagen Beach. Hadn’t even made it to Diamond City yet.
I found a full set of X-01 power armor behind a locked door in Fort Hagen Satellite while doing an Automatron mission
I had so many sets of various power that i set up around my homebase that it looked like an army ready to fight. I just collected them because i had on the best set i could find.
Late game just pepper sprayed me with so many X-02 and hellfire pieces after update I could probably make minutemen into iron scourge of the wasteland.
Fuck it, turn the minutemen into the Enclave
You also get a free t60 set doing the brotherhood questline even if your not planning on going with that ending
How far into the quest
early in my play though a group of some faction got killed by some super mutants and dropped a fully upgraded set of power armor so that was a good start
That is also that one straight west from red rocket, left from the naval base with a big satelite dish, in a crashed plane.
I got that one 5 minutes into the game, yeah, it's the same as the one you find with the minutemen in Concord, but hey, free power armor
Remember a combat shotgun or really good up close weapon for the rare occasions you don't stealth soon enough or before you get the stealth perk high enough
You can also get some Mk 5 hellfire armor by doing enclave missions, a bit difficult but gets pretty easy around the end. Also get a full set of XO2 armor doing this
After I completed the game I came to the T60 spawn and woah and behold a brotherhood squad was right there and when I went in the truck to see if it was there they took the suit…
You can get like 5 sets of both hellfire and x-02 after killing Pyro and getting attacked by the patrol
I went to that one spot near Pickman Gallery and instead I found T-51 instead of T-45. It was awesome.

I have a room dedicated to power armor sets. Like 12 sets all displayed with display cases in the middle that has random stuff like fusion cores and extra helmets. Its pretty cool if i do say so myself lol
I found my first XO-1 POWER ARMOUR by just roaming in the open and have forgotten where I found it
Dude, keep in mind that the XO1 power armour is locked at level 30 don’t go near Court 35 unless you are level 30
They already gave me a free full set I fixed up but I guess I can now have a collection
Easier way to do that for the X-01. High level, go to National Guard Training yard in the back behind the wrecked vertibird and guard station, youll see a stack of shipping containers in there youll find a locked cage with a free set. Next Lock pick the big building at the back of the same location and inside youll find another level scaled of power armor though that one is usually not a full set.
Secondarily the south boston checkpoint usually has a full set locked up as well.
Aside from in Concord I only ever use power armor to collect and display them
Once the brotherhood starts showcasing their wastly supperior Vertibird Skills, you'll basically get an endless supply of T-60s...
I wouldn't say key component but they DEFINITELY help quite a bit.
