How to loot the Brotherhood of Steel's armory on the airship in Fallout 4?

- It took me 8 years to realize that there's a simple way to loot the Brotherhood of Steel's armory on the airship in Fallout 4 right at the beginning of the game. With this method, you can get a bunch of supplies, some weapons, and even a power armor helmet reminiscent of the Enclave from the third part of the Fallout series. To start, approach the armory, then in your inventory, select any melee weapon or just switch to fists. Next, get up close to the quartermaster and use VATS. After your character attempts to punch the armory supervisor, quickly press the TAB key to cancel the attack. You'll find yourself inside the armory. However, it's not as easy as it seems, and before attempting the theft, you need to know how to get out of there.

Another fun trick if you want Maxon’s outfit is to slowly push him off the ship when he is near the edge on one of the missions. I can’t remember which one. This will of course kill him without angering the entire Brotherhood.
I think it’s the one where your suppose to clear the fort after joining and meeting the crew of the prydwen
Or another trick...Pretend your role-playing being stealthy, hit the tilde button and pretend like you are stealthily climbing over =).
Do the same to get out.😊

@R3fug333 not really. Go to concord. Go to diamond city. Track down Kellogg. Rescue Danse and do Arcject. If you do nothing but thise things you're looking at a few hours
If you only do the main quests, it’s what like 3 hours in? Recruit Valentine and then follow the clues with Dogmeat to the fort

Ah yes, the Enclave _totally_ wore that power armor in Fallout 3.
They totally wore it in 2 as well. The APA and X-01 are different armors. Smh.

I mean you can race here in about an 2 and a half, and some of my Fo4 profiles are 80+ hours, so its still kinda early
I will try to use the cheat mod to quick travel to the airship even though it's not in the commonwealth yet. 😅

By the time i get this far in the game i usually have high enough lockpick that it only takes a matter of seconds to pick the lock and just walk in and out
The airship didn't show up in my game until I'd tracked down & killed Kellogg....
Which is no where near the start of the game.
@@mattsmedley.onehandedgamin9029 Yeah that’s the only time it shows up. It’s scripted to show up upon defeating Kellog. Which is about a quarter to half way through the game

@@axios525 Unless you’re using mods it only shows up after you kill Kellogg once you leave the top of Fort Hagen
I forgot to level my hacking and lock picking by this point so I sent Nick or Cait after it since they both can do the highest level locks/hacks.

Lol what I do I just unlock the door then drag all the loot out to the next floor then click claim, easy loot and you won't even be detected

Even if you speedrun the main story you’d still have to:
>Save Nick from Park St Station
>Acquire the key to Kellogg’s house and snoop round it
>Travel to and clear out Fort Hagen
>Travel to Boston airport
… not exactly “the beginning of the game” by any stretch of the imagination.

If you save the power armor you get from the museum after you help Preston you can actually do the same thing by cramming your character as far into the corner between the actual door and the door frame, after that just get out and back into the power armor and you should clip through, and to get out just do the same (you can actually spawn the Prydwin without without killing Kellogg)

"At the beginning of the game" someone hasn't played fallout 4 seeing as you need to get them to spawn in which only happens after you kill Kellog

I lockpicked the door as it wasn’t a crime and dragged the loot underneath the armoury behind the boxes and took it when no one was lookint

Thats was literally my first instinct because in this fallout you don’t lose karma from stealing so on almost every playthrough ever I steal almost everything remotely useful

You can also use landmines to get out. Just make sure there aren’t any NPC’s in front of it.
If you’re sneaking and hidden you can utilize a companion with a lockpick skill to open the door
or do it yourself

Drag the items out of sight by holding the use button, then you can steal without being caught. Did this years ago chief

Alternatively once you’re inside, you can pickup the item and literally throw it out of the caged room and pick it up in a hidden area.

Wow this sounds so much like a tip or trick you read about at councilors corner in some issue of Nintendo Power. Sounds pretty nifty.
Theres an explosive canister on the right hand side if the arnory. Quick save. Shoot it. Reload until the helmet lands at your feet, drag to corner where no one can see and its yours.
Done it quite a few times , usually doesnt take more than 5-6 tries

You can use power armor to glitch in and out of the door way easier, you don’t have to wait for the other npc either

I just hid beside the door until the npcs all simultaneously looked away. I hawked the detected/hidden bar until no one would see me pick the door and just snuck in that way.
Put a bobby pin in a companions inventory and then punch them into the door ya wanna unlock.

I'm falling in love with this game yet again, started a new game yesterday and decided to do all the settlements first before going to Diamond city 😂 So far so good, Preston loves it.
That's the X-01 that whilst not being the exact one used in 2 is absolutely reminiscent of it.
When your first doing the meet the crew request you can pick the lock without getting in trouble
I just picked the lock and moved the pieces i wanted. My Enclave X0-1 suit looks badass
I did this and used the oldschool Skyrim tactic of grabbing the item to the bottom of the prydwin, out if sight, and took everything
The door next to the door is actually pickable and can also be unlocked using a terminal. For some reason if you fail the picking, the brotherhood doesn’t go hostile on you, so stealth it up with your flavoring and steal everything without being punished

I robbed the whole room using angles and the old pick up drop somewhere else 😂
If you put a unused power armor in there and go up to the window and get out of it, it pushes you out so you can just get in there anytime.

I picked a lock to the door and I got in without any trouble and I looted the place. The way you describe how to do that is so complicated. The simplest way is to pick the lock

Speaking of the enclave, with the new gen update, you can now do the enclave questline you get when you exit vault 111. Past lvl 20, you should have no problem completing it, near the end of the first quest you can kill an enemy and get a free set of enclave mk.3 X.02 armor.
I used to use nick's hability to hack the door with that computer that its at the left

looted the whole armory with everyone alive years ago… I remeber it was tricky but it worked somehow

You could also use a companion to open it or you could pickpocket one of the brotherhood scribes in the power armor area, one of them has a key to the armory.
Just walk in with a limitless mini gun and simply take them all out loot everyone unlock the door and you are free to steal what ever you want

I either just use cait to lockpick it or pickpocket the key from the knight captain who aways spawns next to the ladder when you first enter
You can also go to the combat zone have cait pick the lock then walk in and grab everything
