As a member of the Batchewana First Nation of Ojibwe (in Ontario, Canada), I want to thank you guys for the really respectful representation of my culture! It's awesome to see my culture represented in the hobby in a way that doesn't tokenize us. Cheers!
I just wanna mention that I love the attention put into the chapters on youtube for every single video recently. Especially with giving each part it's own distinct name, rather than just doing plain "Modding" - "Assembly" - "Priming" - "Coloring" chapter titles
NGL I'd be very sad if Jazza isn't playing his own damn chapter in the batreps. It's like this channel started up again to give him a financial excuse to do more hobby stuff, but he's been here less and less as managing whatever else he does takes up his time (I don't know what, as I don't watch any other channels he may be running), and him not even being in a batrep for the chapter he invented and loved... I dunno man. I've no doubt it would still be a fun battle report, but he and Dave are so fun to watch play off one another on camera in those games, and it would feel wrong without him. I'd also love to see him play against Murray's Tyranids when the time comes, I have a feeling he'd really enjoy the narrative drama of that. Anyhow, just my two cents.
I hear you, and it pains me! I really love being in the battle reports, but doing so takes up to 2 days of my time, and it's harder to justify that when the Jazza channel and producing/managing Tabletop Time behind the scenes keeps the lights on and our team paid. I'm very involved in the videos, feedback on conversions, and am working on several exciting Space Bears projects myself, but I also have to let the team take the spotlight and run with it now in a way I can't really do at the moment - and they have such awesome ideas! But don't worry - you haven't seen the last of me in a battle report! I love them too much. I've just lost 3/3 so I think it's time for Jenn and Murray to show Dave some pain ;)
@@Jazza Thanks for the reply - cool to hear from the man himself. While I'm disappointed that you won't be able to join soon, since you seem determined to return some day, I'll hold out hope that you're able to come back and have some more fun with your Bears and your mates. And I hope you can find the time to enjoy the wargaming hobby in your own way during your free time! Cheers.
I just came across this channel fyp, and I love this type of content. I got into Warhammer around October last year. I started making my space wolves army. I love the aspect they added with Viking stuff to the army but never was happy because I was a person big into bears (I like bears a lot). After coming across this channel, I have fell in love with your channels merch for space bears. You got a sub from me and soon to be customer for the product
I loved your idea for the librarian. Once I get my box, I'm turning My Librarian into a plague doctor. For my Dark Angel Army, because plague doctors help with a knight aesthetic I'm going for with them.
i did that for my deathwing apothecary and please heed my warning: use a beakie helmet or a 3d printed headpiece. i used greenstuff for my apothecary and while i was happy with the result... i realize there were easier ways to do it.
@archangel4868 Thanks, man. I'll do exactly what you said for the robe and stuff, but for the head, I had my own idea. I'm also repositioning all of the arms and stuff on him. so he'll look a little bit different than normal. But man, thanks for the advice.
I think maybe a 1/2 mask might be a good option in the future for characters so you still get the bear shape shnozz. Maybe with a scar on one side to add asymmetry and to show seniority.
I recently got the leviathan box and I do space wolves as my main army and my space wolf librarian turned out awesome your guys space bear one did too awesome
The streaking grime was actually super great for this librarian in particular. Before it, I thought the Ultramarine blue was a bit too harsh versus the normal space bears, but getting it a bit dirty did a great job pulling it into the unified aesthetic while still remaining a Codex appropriate librarian.
that is one sweet conversion, love it, inspireing me to buy leviathan, and converting my Librarian to fit better with the theme of my space marine chapter
It would also kind of make since for the dream catcher to work. B/c you have an entire culture believing it works to protect psykers that can effect the warp.
*_You know, you could add actual light/lightening effects?_* *_What size were these minis again? Did you go for 35mm?_* *_These are your minis that you 3D printed, they are either hollow or could be printed for an easier cabling inside the minis._* *_And by using magnets, when it's your round and your mini's turn to fire, you could quickly remove a gun with a "shooting gun", this gun lights up when in contact with the mini's arm where there is a magnet; it works like a switch._* *_Did I mention you could add a speaker to each mini so each mini has it's individual sound-and speech it admits from it's own base? You know, 'dakka-dakka' or a line from one of the 40K audiobooks or video games. No, I didn't, mention any of this, let's wait with that; too much awesomeness is not good for the brain._* *_Do the lighting effects first._*
ive always loved the way murray paints and converts his tyranids, im curious hows he enjoying the ones from leviathan, alot of the tyranids in it give me starship troopers vibes, maybe he doesnt somethin a little interesting with the brainy nids ;)
The astra primirsa series is seriously my favorite hobby content on youtube! Can't wait to see a full 2k space bear spread! Also, I stopped spamming this comment, but make space bear dice! I will buy them!
Special forces should include different "Bears" like Polar squad or Koala Intercessors or something Panda related. To build up multiple squads and create specialists like that
god i wish i could model as well as you guys, im at the moment am only able to do basic terrain like small volcanoes, spikes and mud that are mostly for Tyranids and the ground of a Space Marine model, other than that i just get a bunch of glue and put it on the base and douse it in sand
It should be a rune priest seeing as its a space wolves successor chapter, so didnt nee to be bluans then could have been an equivalent based on the first nations people youre modelling them on
I would love to see more collaboration with puppetswar so we can get more space bears bits for their line. Example: space bear themed bodies, heavy infantry pauldrons, and space bear themed walkers
Amazing! Thank you for being respectful to ojibwe culture while drawing inspiration from it. The space bears continue to inspire me to keep working on my own army.
Fantastic, its really inspiring to see what youve done with them. A question though: What brand of milliput do you use and do you have any recommended guides for learning how to use it correctly?
Huge tip for doing lightning or wild plasma effects, there is another channel that had used a small hot glue gun to make effects, maybe you guys can check it out and use those techniques in the future? Also ontop of that, ive been following you guys for a while now, just wanted to say Love the content and to keep up the great work!
So as someone still learning about 40k and wanting to make my own chapter and eventually buy the stuff to make them, how much do librarians stick to the blue armor rule? My chapter uses earthy colors and wear giant snake pelts based on the spiny bush viper which comes in a variety of colors including blue. Was thinking of just having my librarian wear a blue pelt to stand out but how out there would that be?
Really freaking cool conversion! 🤩 If I may ask, is there any specific reason for not to include any feathers attached to the dreamcatcher? If I recall it correctly (which I may not) they should have a specific meaning and, a part from that, they could help to better visualize and recognize the dreamcatcher itself (but it's just my pov, clearly, and the model is already amazing as it is 🤘🏻🤩).
Sometimes the best answer is the honest answer: I wasn't confident sculpting feathers at that scale and had no appropriate "bitz" to use! Good idea though
Thank you so much for the quick and kind reply. It is always very fun and stimulating to follow you guys in this project (without forgetting the others too). 😊
I feel like Jazza should have been consulted on the color scheme considering how much thought he put into the rest of the chapter… but maybe that happened and we just didn’t see it.
Dont worry, theres a lot of break room chats that dont make it into the video. Jazza was stoked with the choices, as a long term space marine player "It had to be blue for a librarian"
Ive always had this idea of plague marines, taking inspiration from plague doctors and crows as a whole, if that exists and anyone wants to let me know that would be great

You need a low orbit insertion team called “The Drop Bears”.
Those dance moves.... nothing but Class!

The Libearian is looking good!
Beautiful work as always. Gonna need a tutorial on have to work the putty like that.
Listening to you talk about your dream catcher process makes me wish you guys were on the current GW design roster ❤
Well it's headcanon and that's a what matters

Polar bear terminators, thats an awesome idea. Especially one with a red helmet, polar bears are extremely brutal
"Li-bear-ian".... dunno if she was making a pun of just saying it weirdly but EVERY SINGLE TIME! it made me giggle 😂

Sooooooo cool. I remember seeing the first citizen miniature of a space rat marine in Mindgames in Melbourne
Woke up and found it to be a good day seeing the newest addition to the Space Bears
Great conversion Dave, it looked seamless when Jen primed over. Great paint job Jen, it fitted into the Bear Clan perfectly.
It looks like a Khador mini.
Thanks for your work. I enjoy your happy energy.

That lightening come out great!
This is pretty funny cus I just finished a custom wolf librarian using a guy from the underwood
Heh, the smoky, moody ,lighting reveal was fun, no idea what the model looked though under all of it.
I love your team dynamic!
And all those teasers
Great stuff all round, love custom work, cant wait to see the Polar bears come to life!
I'd love to see the rest of the box customised! maybe the Tyranids half can be business men? 😅
Some Dappernids 🤣🤣

that dreamcatcher effect looks incredible, i would never have thought of using glue like that
Loved this video. Just an awesome solid creation conversion and painting video!
That LiBEARian is pretty cool you guys!! Looking forward to more!
This chapter needs some assault marines with blood and guts dripping off their weapons: *Grisly Bears.*
Love the space bears! Really hope y’all keep these videos going!
One phrase just hit me and stuck. "THE COSMIC KOALAS". That just has to become a faction !
The streaking grime was actually super great for this librarian in particular. Looks fantastic
Dang cool! Space Bears are great! I hope we get to see more of them :)
I'M SUUUUURE WE WILLLLLL 👀👀
I absolutely love the dream catcher - even more so your reasoning and care in behind putting it on.
Lol 😂 got to love the step by setp😂..... and the bears looked amazing!
I love the detail on the plates! Such a good mini!

Another astronomically good vid lads!!
8:24 "Space Beary Bits" really makes me wish there were some blueberries or something equivalent hiding on the model.
very neat! though i think the glowing runes of the armor could've helped, it was probably the best you did the axe and eyes
You've inspired me!
I want to make a piranha chapter!
(based on the sharks)
Amazing conversion. The reposing is fantastic!
aw man I havent seen a new Space Bear in a while! Loving this conversion! Great addition to your army

Before it was painted, when it was just primed in black, the only thing I could think of was that it look like Horus.
I love these projects. So inspiring.
Love it!
That’s pretty epic
That was unbearably cool.
3:57 Sounds like heresy to me. Nought a crime more foul against the emperor than horbouring the witch.
Im just surprised jazza didnt show up last second just to do the streak and grime
Can’t wait to see all the nids conversion for the other half of the box set
I thought today was kind of a mediocre day until the “Tabletop Time Disco Party Where Everyone Is Invited” ™
Dragon getting his face spikes getting ripped off: AAAHHHHHHHHH
