That’s the beauty of EdgeTX many ways to get the same result. Nice on 👍🏻

Good video, I enjoy learning these tips with EdgeTx. Not sure if it was possible two years ago, when this video was released, but now you can skip the curve and mixes altogether. Now you can just use a Special Function, set the !L02 logical switch as Trigger and Function to Override, select Channel 3 and set to -100. This special function will make sure the CH3 output will be overridden to -100 (you also get a nice lock icon in the Channel monitor to show that the channel is locked).

Wonderful! Being new to EdgeTX, I don't think I could have EVER figured this out. Thanks Bill.

Thank you so much for your videos on the edgeTX. I've just bought a Zorro and finding your videos really useful.

Thanks for the idea. Used the logical switch approach from your guide but decided to skip the curve and set that up a bit different. I added a throttle mx after the stick mix that has source - max, weight -100%, switch !L02 and multiplex - replace. Saves a curve (which we most likely don't need to save).

Your Companion page looks different than mine. I did not know how to pick a curve line. I could have understood this better if you were showing me how to do this directly on my TX-16S. Thanks anyway.

In the future I will only do the programing on the radios to make it easy for my viewers. Thanks for your comment.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer On the other hand, Edge TX radios are offered in two user interfaces, one for color/touch and one for basic black & white. Advanced configurations on my RadioMaster Pocket can only be done with this software so I found it extremely helpful. IMO if you're on Edge TX you should probably get comfortable in this software. Just change the video title to "Edge TX Companion Safe Throttle..." :)

Hi Bill. Thanks for all your advice which has been really useful to me over the last couple of years. I have a TX16s and this was one of the first things I did. I set it up on SH which I set up as per you click on /click of switch. Is there a way to add to this so that after flying a model, the throttle will automatically disarm after a period of time, say 60secs. I know one could just flick the arm switch off, but maybe you're going to quickly put another battery in so you don't bother (or just forget!!) This "auto reset" of the throttle lock would ensure nobody (grandsons!) opens the throttle if the tx is sitting around unattended.
As logical switches are above my pay grade(!), I have searched for such a setup but been unable to find one. If you have done one I'd be grateful for a link. If not, perhaps you could see what you can come up with. Many thanks. Mike

Hi Mike, so you want the motor to automatically disarm after a set time period. If with the safe throttle you leave the throttle up it will not arm so little fingers cannot get harmed. You can also set up triple arm system of arming which I could show you how to do.

Thanks for getting back Bill. It's my fingers I'm more worried about, in case the "little" fingers waggle the throttle stick!!!
Ideally if the throttle has been idle for say 30secs, it would be great if the motor automatically disarmed. Don't know if the triple arming would help. Thanks again

Now i'm seeing the same in a different format and i'm more confused. I have the same settings, the voice is correct for throttle warning ,cut is set, yet throttle still reacts and timer won't stop with cut engaged..
