    This killing me now haha 🤣 The beef looks super tasty by seasoned! and the peanut sauce made by Thai red curry and coconut milk...I love it! 💗It would be better for me with some cold drink in my hand hehe 🤩✨

      I’ve usually use sunflower seed butter when subbing peanut butter. I hope the sesame paste substitute was really good.

    Huge improvement over the Satay that unfortunately got Marion booted from Masterchef Australia when she was arguably the front runner for winning Masterchef. I think she would have, even back then in 2010, she was an awesome cook.

    My family is from Jakarta, Indonesia and we’ve always used peanut butter. I’ve never seen it with coconut milk and fish sauce. Our meat marinade is different as well. Can you grill the beef, or is pan frying better?

    I can never make my beef says tender soft. What's the secret ? I remembered eating them back home super soft and it melts in your mouth. Yes, I bought the best meat .

    This definitely looks mouth watering. My kid has peanut allergy. Instead of peanuts, what other nut could I substitute with?

      I’ve used sunbutter and cashew butter in replacement of peanuts and it turned out great! I also added a squeeze of lime to cut the richness of the sauce a little.

      Try finding chinese toasted sesame paste! The flavor is pretty spot on. Or sub tahini + sesame oil

    What is rib eye in NZ beef cut terminology?

      Scotch fillet (in NZ terms). Its the boneless cut from the prime rib of the cow/steer. Otherwise its known as the ribeye cut/steak ( in the US)

      I think for a lot of her dishes, you could season veggies the same, or use tofu as a meat replacement.

    She's always talking about using ribeye and other expensive cuts of meat like they cost a few pennies.
    At least in Mexico the cuts of beef she usually uses are super expensive. There's no way a middle class family here could afford to make this for a weeknight dinner. Sorry, but it's a fact. I love this channel and these recipes but I had to point that out.

    You would be hard-pressed to find BEEF satay in any given neighborhood in Thailand. This is about as Thai as pizza...
    Mostly pork and chicken satay are eaten commonly.
    I smell Baloney.

      Yeah, I was waiting for someone to bring up Muslim food, the exception that proves the rule.
      Theravada Buddhism, as you all no doubt know, has roots in Hinduism, and many Thais view beef negatively. No one's saying it isn't eaten at all, but it's certainly not mainstream Thai food.
      In 30+ years, Muslim food notwithstanding, I don't think I have ever seen beef satay in any street food stall or cart.
      But, ok, call it Thai food, since that is as close to Thailand as you'll ever be...
