Hi Dear people.... from Fitous Thai Kitchen ... I am from the Netherlands and a big fan of Thai cuisine.. I love Thai cooking. I have been following your recipe videos since the corona pandemic and it has brought me a lot of joy and inspiration during that difficult time. I still enjoy your wonderful recipes and they are delicious!! I want to thank you very much for that!!
Thank you so much for your heartfelt message William, glad to be of service, please let us know if you have any fishes in particular that you'd like to see.
I love satay chicken, good to know you showed us how to process the chicken marination course duration and the basic ingridients to put together in order to achieved a very palatable taste and to make the chicken succulent. So like and admiring your cooking technique.
The recipe looks simple, I plan to make them this weekend. Love Chef Pi Tou! I am impressed with the cameraman who can speak Thai. The cameraman who did the test tasting made me hungry. LOL Thank you for adding captions in the video. The video is looking better every time.
Recipe is simple but oh soooooo good, was the cameraman speaking Thai? He can speak Thai, but I don't remember him speaking Thai in this video. Thanks for your encouragement, feel we're getting there.
It sounds to me like food ASMR not a big deal…he is sharing his passion and do what he likes. I see the comment ppl are so mean..just leave this guys alone. If you don’t like it just skip 😊thanks for sharing
This chicken satay looks absolutely delicious. l love watching you cook and i am in love with your recipes. It is indeed a wonderful learning experience, and it is a beautiful gastronomic journey into your lovely cuisine. Thank you, Chef !!
They look great. Going to try these. Thanks for your great and simple cooking. Once the spices etc are bought it looks cheap. I did not know coconut milk was so thick. It looks like cream.
As a female chef, when I saw chef Tou is using galangal and lemongrass that I use daily in my commercial kitchen, I know her recipe of chicken satay wins all others!
Hi Nazim, the water is there to keep the surface cool as the burners are very powerful. The second reason is that it aids in cleaning as oil and bits of food collect in the water rather than sticking to the surface.
Thank you so much for your video. I am a fan of Thai cuisine. Can you let me know: 1/. how to make the peanut sauce to dip for eating? 2/. 3 tablespoons of cumin and coriander seed together or 3 tablespoons for each ingredient. 3/. What is Kalanka ? THANK YOU.
I'm sure we will at some point, we can't do it at the restaurant as we only serve halal food. But maybe a video at home or in Thailand then we can do it.
Most of those ingridients are exotic to Philippines. Cumin seeds and that other seed. The Galanggang also very exotic. That is more like a rare ornamental plant in Philippines.
I didn't know that, that's interesting that these ingredients are hard to come by in the Phillipines. I don't know much about Phillipino food although I have been known to enjoy a good papa etam.
Fuyohh Auntie Pi Tou, very long story short but I can now speak a little Nepali and was near Thailand in Nepal earlier this year. So all ill say is liked and subscribed and all the migrants from South East Asia should be thanked for making Britain great. Food brings the world together, makes me laugh how my Chinese Thai and Nepali friends all love classic British food while I'm moaning about it. If I get to London anytime soon I'll make a beeline for the restaurant 😂
@@FitousThaiKitchen I found it was amazing, it has its own uniqueness wether eating home cooked food or in small local food places. Some is similar to Indian but with a Nepali twist, some a mix of Chinese/Indian and then the Sherpa and Tibetan is different again. There’s some really amazing food which you just don’t get exposed to over here as the restaurants cater for the western palate and of course we don’t know what the Nepali dishes are like so tend not to try them. Once you get an idea of how good it all is then your happy to just try anything. Also the food can be different in different regions as they have their own quirks. SEA is just an amazing area of the world so rich with diverse food and colour and tradition. 😂👍🇳🇵🇹🇭🇬🇧
Thank you for introducing authentic Indonesian satay from Java, you should try making other variations of satay in Indonesia there are hundreds of versions of this satay just one of them
It was 3 Tbsp of the mixed seeds, it's easier to show us toasting a larger amount for the purposes of the video. You can toast a Tbsp and a half of each rather than needing to keep any excess if you like, thanks for watching.
Although it sound disgusting to foreign ears, it is a custom in some culture. Just like sharing and eating food from the same plate or eating with hand.

Well said! Appreciate that, it was an accident actually, left the mic on my collar so unfortunately it picked up everything.
This chicken satay looks absolutely delicious. l love watching you cook and i am in love with your recipes. It is indeed a wonderful learning experience, and it is a beautiful gastronomic journey into your lovely cuisine.

Hi, just curious why there is water on the surface of the cooker

Galangal is a root herb like ginger

3 Tbsp of the mixed seeds as we toasted them together. Thanks for watching
How long does the restaurant leave for their service - overnight or few hrs?
Sorry? I don't understand your question.
Please make Moo Ping.
I'm sure we will at some point, we can't do it at the restaurant as we only serve halal food. But maybe a video at home or in Thailand then we can do it.
My favorite ❤..now I'm tempted to try thighs

Very true, how was the food in Nepal? I've never been, is it a mixture of cuisines?

Man that chicken must be scrumptious, the sampler dude had some serious lip smackin going on
It was really good, didn't intend to pick up so much noise, forgot the mic was on my shirt collar. It's upset a lot of people😵💫🤭 .
Thank you for introducing authentic Indonesian satay from Java, you should try making other variations of satay in Indonesia there are hundreds of versions of this satay just one of them
i wont get drawn into the who made satay first debate lol, glad you enjoyed it
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

A very niet clip but when the man starts eating that noise .........ruins the clip
Thanks for the feedback, it was an honest mistake
Eew the chew
Please close your mouth when you chew your food! Very rude!
Sorry it was closed but I had a microphone on my lapel
The chicken satay looks yummy but not the eating sound, its kind of put me off
Yeah sorry about that, the microphone was left on his collar when trying the food
Lovely recipe, would love to try that but listening to you eat it was so off putting! Close your mouth when you eat
Please refer to the previous responses
Video was great, then I got to the part where I heard you eat....
Then you liked it even more 😊
yup... smack upside the head.... disgust
Why do I hear a pig eating ? Is that necessary?
Why do you have to be rude? Is that necessary?
@@FitousThaiKitchen how can you be so unpleasant to subject your viewers such audio?
As previously explained, the mic was left very close to the persons mouth when trying the food.
Could you please closed you mouth when you chew, so unprofessional.
My mouth was closed but the Mike was on my collar, apologies if the noises offended.
Hearing him eat was gross and ruined the video for me. I couldn't imagine it in person. Probably just a personal preference, sorry just unbearable.
as previously explained it was an issue with the mic, apologies
1 cup of cumin seeds and 1 cup of coriander seeds? That can't be right. Surely just a couple tablespoons of each is plenty.
It was 3 Tbsp of the mixed seeds, it's easier to show us toasting a larger amount for the purposes of the video. You can toast a Tbsp and a half of each rather than needing to keep any excess if you like, thanks for watching.
You can leave out the sound of chewing while talking. Very rude.
Sorry, I had to try it and talk at the same time
I totally agree...it's disgusting.
Agree. Sounds terrible... Very unappetizing.
It's not rude in some cultures
Although it sound disgusting to foreign ears, it is a custom in some culture. Just like sharing and eating food from the same plate or eating with hand.
believe she identifies tumeric as cumin by accident - if watching she says this is curry then should be tumeric and then coriander and cumin seeds
Probably, she likes to keep me on my toes when it comes to editing the videos. Thanks for heads up I'll double check it.
