    It was so cool to be able to test this product with a friend that had not experience with lasers!

    Great video both.
    This laser looks like a bigger version of the LaserPecker 2.
    I use the Atomstack D2 Smoke Purifier when indoors and it works brilliantly.
    No smoke or smell and very quiet.
    Take care both.
    Cheers, Huw

      Interesting! I have a couple large smoke purifiers for my larger lasers and they do a good job but you still smell the burning wood. I need to look at the tech that your D2 uses. Thanks for the info.

    Would you share the settings for each of your tests please? I have just got one and want to also do leatherette, slate and wood. Some starter settings would be appreciated and I can always adjust from there. Great product intro video!

      I do not have all the settings to share with you but even if I did, you need to test for yourself. You will find that you may use two different types of wood that look the same and are exactly the same size and thickness but the settings are totally different. By coincidence, our newest video will be posted in about 12 hours, I go over how to test and it is for a different machine, but the principles are the same. I do not push people to my channel or video, if people want to watch, that is awesome but I dont ask anyone to do so. In this case, I am letting you know because it will be able to answer your questions. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to me.

      @@Poor_Mans_DIY I've figured out almost everything now. I test each type of product usually wasting 1 then new settings do better. Thanks!

    Would it engrave a dog tag or bracelet.

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it can but you will need to conduct some tests. I find that different items use different powder coating techniques that make it tougher to engrave. Same applies to various metals. I would test out a few before purchasing large quantities.

    What wattage is the machine.

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  7 месяцев назад

      This particular machine is 5W. Although it is perfectly capable of cutting, its primary intended function is engraving. :-)

    Thank you for this video. Could you please confirm if this laser machine can engrave on plastic?

    Will it do metal?

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  7 месяцев назад +1

      It is unable to cut metal but it can engrave certain types of metals. Thank you for the great question.

    That looks like a great addition to your shop. I double dog dare you to engrave the top of your fridge!! Happy Thanksgiving !!

      That is hilarious! I am stubborn enough to try the engraving just because of the dare. I wont stick my tongue on a frozen pole but engraving... I can do. LOL
