I like the over all design of the house. 3 things I would change for myself, 1) small bathroom and put the hanging storage in the bedroom area. 2) Close off the bed room with another pocket door or barn door. 3) Maybe not necessarily a full size fridge, but maybe an apartment size one.
I stayed here 3 years ago. The bathroom size is wonderful, and it’s hard to fully appreciate over video. I agree with the comment of the fridge and separating door between the living area and bed but it was so cool
I absolutely love it. I love that it's not cluttered or so much stuff in it that's too overwhelming. I love blue sofa. I use to have a blue sofa before and I loved it. I absolutely love the porch. I live a little less than 3 hours from Asheville. There’s a lot of container homes and tiny homes popping up in the mountains of NC. I can’t wait til they make their way closer to where I live. But if anyone is interested in staying there, there’s a wonderful zoo in asheboro it’s about 2-3 hours away but there’s a lot of bigger cities u will be closer to like Greensboro and Charlotte. The container home is not far from Cherokee, and there’s a casino there. It’s gorgeous up that way. There’s so many beautiful hiking trails and beautiful scenery in the NC mountains. Gosh I need to go on a vacation😂. All these traveling and tiny home videos make me want to go on an adventure lol.
Pretty cool. The possibilities are endless depending on what's important to you. I can see a commune/village built like this with individual homes and common areas. All from repurposed containers.
I’d rather have a wall with a pocket door similar to the wall between the kitchen and bathroom and use that to divide the living room and bedroom instead of a curtain.

Simplicity at its best. If I was building something like this, I would take a modular approach. This unit would be the "services and main habitation" module. I'd have a deck at least 50% roofed over for all-weather use and entertaining, and consider a second container that is 40-40-20 split as a "guest room/storage unit/utilities" module. Maybe bridge the two units with the covered porch section of the deck. The only other thing would be an adjustable-arm wall mount for the TV to enable lowering it for watching, raising it for storage. TV needs to be eye-level for watching.
I would just ad a a wall between the bedroom and rest of the space and you've got yourself a beautiful 1 bedroom unit, comfortable. And I'd shrink the bathroom to add more space for the living room/dining area.
I would definitely call this home if it had a stove and a full size fridge. It also would of been awesome if there was a wall with a door to separate the bedroom and living room.

Awesome, im wanting to build a home out of a shipping container sinilar to the one in the video, id have a full size fridge and oven, also my vision is to also have a 20ft container ssparate specifically for Bathroom/shower/ laundry room
The one thing I'd do differently is I would have left the original doors on the end with the bed and had a big, huge window there with the option to close the doors for privacy. OR put a skylight above the bed. Either way. But I also realize either one is an additional expense. For a minimal space, this one is great.
New here, I've been researching a lot about shipping containers and I think there great, can be somewhat challenging I suppose for those not gifted with the skills and knowledge to build one, but for thse that can like me, can create an unlimited range of sizes and styles. you are oing an incredible job with these videos man good work and its bring so much awareness to this medium, I am curious though if you yourself live in a shipping container home or what it is that brought interest in this realm. I like this container home with the exception of the glass-enclosed shower. People love the look of glass-enclosed showers BUT they rarely (you can pretty much say NEVER) take the time to clean them after each shower. Then you end up with water spots that make that pretty shower look like crap. And yes, people will say "just use a squeegee on the glass as soon as you're done and it's all clean again". No, it's NOT clean, it just has the appearance of being clean. If you can afford a daily housekeeper, then great. If you can't, then stick to something more practical and utilitarian.
Could add a small demineraliser unit in the water supply. We got one at home and that little puppy really helps with the water purity and therefore the water spots issue.
I just spray mine with those "Daily Shower Cleaner" type products after each use. Scrubbing Bubbles makes a rather decent one in all honesty but it has a chemical smell to it which seems to be hit or miss. Some do not mind at all and others can't help but smell it and hate it. I switched over to the Clorox version and it's been about as good but more pleasant smelling. Might be worth mentioning as well but some folks like to apply automotive wax to the inside to help prevent water spots. It's not flawless but it seems to help folks keep excess water off.
You can stick build a 8x40 pier and beam cabin for less than half the cost. How do I know? I have been building homes for 40 years! I had to prove it to a couple just last week with detailed spreadsheets end real bids.
Doug Webb I’d disagree. I’ve been a contractor for 28 years and have built container holes like this for less than $15,000. Shoe me a stick built house you’ve built for $15,000....🧐
That’s surprisingly spacious. Imagine how spacious one made from 2 or 3 of those 40 foot high cube shipping containers. Btw, is that a high cube big bastard?
Bath takes up too much space. It could be cut in half and still be comfortable. The bed area could be made more private with a wall/slider door or just a wall. Either end could have a loft for storage or more beds. It's ok as a Air B&B but not for a home.
Rather than cutting for doors and windows on the side, taking away much of the strength of the container I would get it on site and foundation. Then open the doors and weld them open sticking straight out. Then build a wall a foot inside the opening with door and window. Lastly install an awning over those doors for a mini porch. This way you don't give up the strength or risk messing up the container's integrity.

Doug Webb I’d disagree. I’ve been a contractor for 28 years and have built container holes like this for less than $15,000. Shoe me a stick built house you’ve built for $15,000....🧐
I have that exact same couch and color!!! I love it.
VERY NICE! I REALLY LOVE WATCHING VLOGS ABOUT TINY HOUSE 💞

absolutley what i want...that would be so perfect
Simple & lovely 🖤
Wow this is very good 👍😊😍😍😍😍
And to think, if anchored properly, it's stronger in storms than a stick build house.
This is a simple design. The community has to be planned.
That’s surprisingly spacious. Imagine how spacious one made from 2 or 3 of those 40 foot high cube shipping containers. Btw, is that a high cube big bastard?
Do you have to pay for the land your place the container
Really nice what’s the price to build the hole thing ?
Bath takes up too much space. It could be cut in half and still be comfortable. The bed area could be made more private with a wall/slider door or just a wall. Either end could have a loft for storage or more beds. It's ok as a Air B&B but not for a home.
I love it!!!! 🙌🙌
21st Century middle class aspirational culture.
