My friend and I are basically just siblings at this point. The “brother from another mother” thing is very true for him. We’re neighbors, (that’s how we met) ended up going to all of the same schools, and both of us have keys to each other’s houses, and just pop over whenever. I know parts of his house better than him, and all of my pets love him. The pandemic has been rough, cause I have barely been able to see him, but I got vaccinated a little while ago so we can see each other again! I’m very happy.

I actually thought I had a best friend. We weren't as close as most best friends, but we talked a lot together and went to each others' houses when we were close to the others' neighborhood. Then I asked her who her best friend was and she said this other girl was her best friend, and everyone else was just a close-ish friend or an acquaintance. It was kind of sad.
