    Just 2 days ago did installed the same ac at my grandma's place.
    Lg Q24enxe.
    The total installation was 2100₹.
    I provided my own wrapping tape and water pipe.
    Lg provided bracket for free
    They uninstalled the old ac and wrapped the pipes without writing it on bill.
    They skipped the vaccuming part. It was a dry day so i didn't bother them with it. If it was a rainy day i would definitely say perform 10-15min vaccum. On dry day simple line purge is enough. Open the liquid side. And let some of the gas out from the vapor side and that should be enough. Outdoor units come with 10% extra charge for this reason..

    • @KuntalGhosh
      @KuntalGhosh Год назад +3

      This q24enxe after lots of bargaining the shop finally reduced price to 47000₹. I got a good deal on this.
      It has all the features i was looking for. Like 4 way swing and 700+ cfm airflow in virat mode.
      I personally have hitachi non inverter 12 year old unit in my home.
      And 5 panasonic inverter in my hotel. I always lean towards panasonic, daikin , hitachi. But this time panasonic was 52000₹ and less airflow than lg. + Grandma already have another lg inverter ac so i pulled the trigger on lg once again. 😂
      So this is my 2nd lg . I would be maintaining it after the free service runs out.

    • @aaacreations6036
      @aaacreations6036 Год назад

      You should never support purging the lines with the prefilled gas regardless of the weather outside. It causes wastage of the gas which should otherwise be in the system and contribute towards cooling your room. Refrigerant gas is a greenhouse gas and if everyone does this, then what will be the amount of gas going into the atmosphere? Like they say every small step to improving society starts at your home. Moreover there is nothing more efficient than pulling a vacuum with a pump. Always the systems will come precharged with some extra refrigerant for efficiency reasons. If you notice all outdoor units regardless of brand will have a sticker mandating vacuum before release of refrigerant.

    • @KuntalGhosh
      @KuntalGhosh 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Sarveshshrivastava21 not a real 2ton unit. At the time of purchase i did not realise these companies falsely advertise 1.7-1.8ton units as 2ton. Proper 2ton unit should have 7000w of cooling power like daikin , mitsubishi , ogeneral & some modele of hitachi provides.
      This q24enxe although it gas 24 in the model name suggesting 24000 btu of cooling power it can actually manage only 20000btu in normal mode. & 22000btu in virat mode , even for that outside temparature has to be below 43c. When it gets over 45 this ac barely manages to cool the room. I should have paid 7k extra and went for the daikin 2ton unit that had real continuous 7000w of cooling power. Lg , voltas , panasonic & every other cheap brand sells 6000w cooling power ac's as 2ton. Voltas even has 5800w units listed as 2ton. Which should be 1.7ton in reality.
      & Don't go over the max cooling power. That only works when outside is at less than 40c and so basically useless.. overall not happy with this after a year of use.
      Another thing the filter design on this lg unit is so bad that dust gets in the coil all the time. In my Hitachi it takes 3 4 years of use to get dust in the coil and in the lg it took about 6month of use to get dust in the coil.

      The bends are not hard bends since its a continuous copper line. Also distance has not increased. He is using the factory supplied 3 meter copper line. Even if the radiator was mounted below the roof somehow, the copper line would simply have to be coiled, thats it. You cannot cut the copper line short.

  • @aaacreations6036
    @aaacreations6036 Год назад +8

    Bro, you need to ensure proper vacuum when split AC is installed. Your idea of neatness and finishing is so good, shows from the core drilling. But the techs who installed the AC are no good at all. The pipes are bent unnecessarily and also they did not pull a vacuum. Without vacuum your cooling performance will be sub par, life of the AC unit will be reduced AND please remember R-32 in today's ac's has explosive characteristics. It should not be mixed with air under compression. You cannot pull a vacuum once the refrigerant is released into the system, not without replacing the whole gas itself because it is already mixed with air. I can't imagine they heard your complaint and pulled the whole gas and replaced it with fresh gas after pulling a vacuum, if so they'd not be Indians, lol.
    There needs to be some regulatory body in India that governs installation of AC units and allow only people with relevant certifications to install refrigeration systems. It should be against the law for installations like this that cause wastage of refrigerant gas which has an impact on the global climate. The least we can do is be self aware and prevent ignorance from getting the better of us and give back to society.
    I have 6 Panasonic split ACs installed in my house, all of them were installed following correct steps, neat routing of the pipes, proper vacuum and wiring. Also the position of the ACs were placed in such a way that they look same on the ground and upper floor both from inside and outside. It all looks very good and synchronised. I have to say that I employed Panasonic brand techs to perform the install after checking with them on their installation process. Of course the installation cost was comparatively high and I did not mind. The shopkeeper had offered free install for one of the units that I purchased from them but I declined this, I will not let these local rookies touch my devices or even set foot in my home. Needless to say, the cooling performance of all these units is nothing short of excellent. They are all connected to my whole home mesh Wi-Fi 6E system along with my other devices and appliances, controlled from my phone and Google Nest Hub Max.

      @prashantsingh1911 Год назад

      Good that you have Wifi 6E. I haven’t found a single IOT device that works on Wifi 6 though. 😅 Any dual band wifi will suffice.

    • @aaacreations6036
      @aaacreations6036 Год назад

      @@prashantsingh1911 All IOT devices support only 2.4Ghz band and they will stay so for the foreseeable future, they are not bandwidth hungry. 6E has 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz working together as a single network SSID. All non media devices are on the 2.4 whilst items like computer, phones etc are on the 5 and 6Ghz. For IOT devices you don't need even dual band for argument sake.
      I have all appliances like TV, A/C, fans, lights, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Fridge and Doorbell security connected to the mesh network. You definitely need a mesh to have seamless WiFi connectivity in all corners of the house. One router will not do the job.

      Is vacuuming needed even for non inverter acs?

  • @fabiolourenco1827

    Dude, they did not do a nitrogen, (or argon) pressure test, they did not vacuum the lines, or even a simple gas flush, hope you’re luck with that ac, it might not last that long.

    I checked the amperage of my split AC outdoor unit using a digital clamp meter. The outdoor unit has a rated current of 5.4 amps, but the meter showed a reading of 4.7 amps. The AC was set to 22 degrees Celsius. Is this reading acceptable?

      Hi, both are great.. Are you looking for 1 ton or 1.5 ton? If 1.5 ton
      Daikin - amzn.to/3KlPu2f
      LG - amzn.to/3KlPu2f
      Note Daikin makes slightly more noice than LG. But both are great.. Both have 5 years warranty on PCB.. You can go for any of them..

    The part where the out door and indoor copper pipe gets connected through nut bolts. I’ve seen few moisture and water droplets over there after using my ac for few hours. Is it normal or is it sign of leakage?

    There are many brands available in the market which are better than LG, such as Hitachi, General, Mitsubishi, Carrier, Daikin etc. The after sales service of LG is better than these brands, based on which customers prefer to buy LG products. But after watching the video I'm a little disappointed with the work done by LG guys. Perfectionism is not reflected in their work. I hope your AC will work fine without any problems in the future..

    Why none of the installation show you opening or clising of valves in outdoor unit, which is most important while installing and uninstalling. Vaccuum is not required if you have kept sealed all copper pipes.

      @@karthikd2857 When ac is installed without vaccum moisture and air is left in the copper pipes connecting the outdoor unit with indoor unit. Bcoz the pipes are open to atmosphere. This air and moisture reduce the cooling capacity of ac and its life. Moisture can form ice in refrigerant which can choke capillary. To overcome this problem vacuum is done.
