    I have the GBX75 and am very impressed. It was able to start a Diesel Ambulance with a completely dead battery as if it was never depleted. Highly recommend this unit.

    My battery was completely dead this morning. Couldn't get my GBX75 to jump it, someone jumped me with their car. Got on here to find out what I did wrong. Use the override button to jump when battery is too low; URGH , now I know better.

    Nate thank you for sharing this demo of how to operate the Noco Boost. I’ve never used one myself but I’ve had others use similar units on my vehicle…
    I did purchase the Genius 5 as a result of your review, but haven’t ordered a Boost as of yet…
    BTW not all vehicles can be charged/boosted via the 12v outlet. Our MINI Coopers are not wired in such a way as to allow without the “keys”accessory being switched on.

      Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated! I would recommend the GBX45 or GBX55 unless you have bigger engines that you may use it on. That will save you quite a bit when purchasing.

    I got a Noco Gb40 about 8 years ago and now is tarted to go bad. Only paid 140 for it at the time. Now I want a new one with a bit more power. Hopefully, the GBX75 will do....

    I got the GB40 for a gift. I wanted to have it for my lawnmower if I had to charge up the battery. Haven't used it yet. So now I want have to call my neighbor to come over with his booster cables. I keep it in my car incase someone needs a boost off. Don't need it for my car. I just purchased a 22 Nissan

    Charging the unit... I use a 12 volt converter. My kids have used their laptop charger which is 60 watts. The laptop charger triggers the fast charging.

    I've had a couple of Noco's and find the circuit boards inside fail very quickly, which is very disappointing considering there are many much cheaper brands offering a far longer life of use, personally having had the gb40, gb50, gb70,and a couple of the newer gbx series fail, I've not accepting a charge I have started using the topdon units and have had them for over 2 years and find them to be of better quality at half the price.

    I have the 1250A tho and it won’t charge my Apple Watch from the USB-C, at two bars of power. 🤷🏿‍♂️

  • @anthonyvolkman2338
    @anthonyvolkman2338 Год назад

    That fast charger feature also uses USB PD (Power Delivery) which can go up to 20 volts. I saw that it states using a USB PD Power brick will actually charge it using it's "fast charger" feature. It stated up to 60 watts input I believe, I have a 65 watt PD Power supply which will work beautifully for it. Apple stuff will not work for that, it's too proprietary, plus Apple's power supplies aren't power pd compatible. That's why I don't use Apple chargers for my other PD stuff including my 65 watt USB C PD Soldering iron.

    • @natemarcy3939
      @natemarcy3939  Год назад

      Good to know. I'm in the middle of testing different chargers and cables to see what works and what doesn't. I have discovered that most chargers work but the boost has a safety feature that will cause an error after 10-12 hours of charging indicating that the device has been in bulk charge mode too long and it will stop charging so even though they say you can use any usb charger, it's better to have a minimum watt charger to get it out of the bulk charge mode before it gives the error. I going to contact there customer service to make sure there is an issue with mine and what they recommend for devices to charge the unit without spending $75 on their charger for the device. USB PD is probably the answer. Stay tuned for the update video. 👍🏼

    What’s best ones? Is the novo booster gbx75 the best

    • @natemarcy3939
      @natemarcy3939  Год назад

      They are all great. It all depends on the size of the vehicles you will be jumping with it. Bigger is better in this case but the price tag goes with it. The GBX155 is the biggest for the boostx line.

    Can you keep it in the car trunk during extreme cold weather? I have a lithium battery air pump and it's recommended that you don't keep it in extreme weather.

    • @natemarcy3939
      @natemarcy3939  6 месяцев назад

      Depends on your definition of extreme cold. Operating temperature is -4F to 122F. If you check on it every few weeks and plug it in once a month I wouldn't be afraid to leave mine in my vehicle. I haven't left mine my vehicle long term in the cold but I have left it in there for the month of December and had no issues. A older gentleman that is a family friend lives in northern new jersey and he leaves his in his vehicle year around and he has had no issues over the last 1+ years. I hope this helps you in some way shape or form.

    Fast charging should only be done in emergency for the longevity of the batteries inside , slow charging is highly recommended for longer life of the batteries , which is a rule of thumb for most devices using these types of batteries

    • @natemarcy3939
      @natemarcy3939  Год назад

      Sorry for the delay for the response. I would normally agree with this being in the electronics field but I have done some testing with charging this unit and I found some interesting results that I may not look at charging this unit slow like normal. Stay tuned for the follow up video this week.

    Noco's are good but they all have a terrible flaw : If they fall below 40% charge for too long they may never want to recharge. Keep an eye on charge level and recharge them regularly , especially if its in your car for a while.

    • @natemarcy3939
      @natemarcy3939  Год назад

      Very interesting because noco chargers/maintainers are supposed to monitor the voltage and activate once it gets too low or recognizes a draw on the battery to activate which seems to work on mine. Thank you for this.

      I did a USB charging video after this one that explains this issue. I found out that you have to use a fast charger in order for it to charge without error. Fast charger is around 60 watts usb c to usb c. With the low watt chargers you can charge until it gets an error then unplug and plug back in to reset. Then it normally will finish the charge. I reached out to them about this isue. It's something they need to correct or state to customers.

    • @AntenDS

      From what I have seen the recharging issue is a big problem with the Boost X models. Users think the battery is allowed (possible design flaw) to be drained past a certain point where USB charging is disabled or simply not possible. One video suggested if you have this issue try charging via the cigarette lighter in the car for 15 minutes.
