    My doctor changed me from 10mg Simvastatin to 20 mg Rosuvastatin. 3 months later she changed me to 40mg Crestor. Then my lab test showed fatty liver and I am starting to have pain under my left ribcage again. I love learning. Thank you!

      Go low carb. Low carb diet will help your fatty liver, cholesterol and triglycerides.

      @@DK-pr9nyYour brain requires carbs to function properly; your body's preferred source of energy is carbs. Please define what you mean by "low carb". Fruits and veggies contain carbs; they also contain much needed vitamins and fiber.

    • @DK-pr9ny
      @DK-pr9ny 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@mregister3945 The liver produces all the glucose the brain needs. The brain actually prefers ketones which are created when you go low carb (>50 grams). Fruit is high in sugar and fructose, so I would limit it.

    Hi, my doctor prescribes statins rosuvastatin (Crestor) for cholesterol control.After a year I developed what could be similar to Alzheimer's symptoms.
    I had difficulty remembering things ( 15 minutes of memory ).I had been tested with the Montreal test and they said that I could have the beginning of Alzheimer's. After that I went to the internet google and RUclips and from there some RUclips doctors told in a video that statins were affecting cholesterol and that the brain made up with a lot of it.
    Guest what, I stopped taking those statins and 2 weeks after I didn't have any symptoms. A real miracle, I could have continue taking that medicine and have bad symptoms for the reste of my life. RUclips had made me realize what could have been the source of my problem. No thanks to my doctor and his staff. . LESSON : STATINE ARE NOT WITHOUT RISK!

    I exercise regularly and noted more muscle fatigue while on rosuvastatin. Other effect was severe eczema noted especially on legs from knees down. This also manifested as dryness in other areas of body where I would wake up scratching lateral thorax and lower back causing chronic inflammatory changes that included hyperpigmentation. This itching resolved after stopping and tried restarting every other day but still recurred. I will not take it again.

      If you reduce from 20mg to 10 mg after 1 wk to 5 mg n then zero, no side effects.
      I have wean off lipitor, simvastatinb and rosuvastatin this way.
      i hv bad side effects, vomitting x2 a week.
      cut off all medications until this one. before i ask my GP and he says " cannot be". Donot trust any GP. they only study dishing out drugs to relief or cure problems but nvr listens to side effects problems. because they choose not to know.
      Hence now i exercise regularly n eat sensibly . No need sny drugs. for 10 yrs now but have high cholesterols but it is not the problem. inflammation is the killer. try to eat foods that donot cause inflammation like milk and sugars etc.

    I had a debilitating side effect of edema in my legs, ankles and feet. Also bad muscle pain. I researched this and found out that the people taking statins also suffered the same side effects as I did. They stated that after stopping their statins that most or all of their edema disappeared in 3-5 days. Mine were all gone in 6 days. That was 2+ months ago. No symptoms since stopping the statin (Rosuvastatin) that I was on. I will not take them ever again.

    Statins lower cholesterol but Lower cholesterol does not reduce heart attacks in any statistically meaningful way. We've been LIED to. it is MORE important to keep your blood sugars / triglicerides. Cut out sugars and get some exercise. even if it's just walking. Do your own research !!

    I've been on it for about 11 months. The abdominal pain I've gotten use to. The gas has been horrible. My Cholesterol has gotten better. I was prescribed this because of my low ldl after DIVORCE so of course I was eating poorly. Although I believed I was prescribed this due to a temporary issue in my life speaking of Divorce. But nonetheless, my forgetfulness is off the charts and has caused great confusion in my life. To the point of suicide. I've gotten better blood results since but I credit that to a better diet. I really dislike this medication.
