- In this video, I show you how to change your FRONT rotors and pads on you #fordmaverick
This procedure is very similar to most FORDS in this platform. The back is very similar, but you will need to put the #2022fordmaverick into service mode to change the rear pads and rotors. (some 2022 cannot be done with the "cheat code" and will have to be done by a Ford Dealership)
Do yourself a favor, and save a lot of money by buying the parts from ROCK AUTO. There are many options available and they are WAY cheaper than the Ford Brakes from the dealership. I am not #sponsored by them in any way.

nice one.
Nice job, changing out the brakes yourself saves a ton of money. 👍 I'm probably going to have to do the ones on my car here soon as well.
😊😊😊
How did you push the caliper pin back ? The calipers are electric and you supposed to put it on service mode? Can you please explain ?
Front calipers are not electric. Only the back ones. There are no electric motors on the front.
I was wondering when the first brake maintenance video would be posted. The front brakes look like slightly bigger Focus brakes.
How did you put the Maverick in brake service mode? And do the rear caliper pistons just push in like the front or do they turn in to reset the parking brake motors?
I could not do the back. I unfortunately have one of the 2022 models that cannot be put into service mode without the dealership doing it. Replacing them after that is very similar. FORD has a TSB on it.
In that case, I wonder if just removing the battery connections, both positive and negative would prevent the brake system from doing the "auto test" when the ignition is off. Modern vehicles do Self Tests when the ignition is off, so disconnecting the battery should prevent that. Then the only negative would be the computers might need to relearn transmission shift points.
I just found a video posted by South Main Auto (Eric) about the 2018 Ford Escape and how to put the electronic brakes in service mode without a scanner tool.

Nevermind, the procedure doesn't put my 22' Maverick into service mode. Back to square one.
