Bicycle Touring | Part 2 | Sierra Cascades Route

Part 2 of a series of videos documenting my bicycle tour along sections of the Adventure Cycling Associations "Sierra Cascades" bicycle route. In this video we (Graham and Billy) set out from Colonial Campground and continue east up Highway 20 over Rainy Pass and Washington Pass. Then, after visiting Winthrop, we continue on down the Methow Valley to Pateros, where the Methow River joins the Columbia River.

I would like to hear a review of your new bike with the pinion gear box after the large climb you accomplished.

Was anxiously awaiting to see if you attempted to pronounce Pateros. You did, and had the most original pronunciation I have heard. No worries, not many can do it. Let me see if I can write it Patairous, with the emphasis on the Pat. Then there's Methow, which is Met how--no meth allowed. Winthrup, and Chelan where the lan part is like land. From Pateros, you are then on the Columbia River and only in Okanogan County. Please forgive me, but I can't help it and you made me laugh. I did know a guy who pronounced Twisp as Twips and he was a native of our state. Carry on and I can't wait to hear how Wenatchee is pronounced. Best wishes....

Yup, my sister is in Bellingham and she always corrects me on local names when I visit, which I then somehow forget. The challenges of travel. Stand by for more word salad, Thanks for the comment!
