That power shuttle reminds me of when I drove forklift on a 10 hour night shift in the '70s. I'd clock out, climb into my car and invariably hit the left blinker trying to back out of my parking space.
Nathan, the audio was good when you had the camera on the loader arm and using the wireless microphone. Could hear a good amount of the tractor’s engine (very satisfying!), but had no trouble hearing you speaking.
Nathan, the tractor sounds great and looks awesome. On your video I could hear you clearly and the tractor was not overwhelming audibly. I'm excited for you and your business continuing to grow. Looking forward to seeing your next video and what you'll be doing in 2024. Praying for your safety, wisdom, strength, health, peace and success in Jesus' Mighty Name. Blessings Nathan to you, your wife and family. ☝️🙏🙌❤️🇺🇸💪🤠🎯
WD-40 is a penetrating lubricant, you can wash grease off your hands with it - it will not last very long. Use Super Tech, Blaster Silicone, 3 in 1 garage door oil etc.
Big congratulations to OtW on the new equipment to handle the heavy lifting safely and cleanup. It’s a great way to bring in the new year at your operation.
Use some powdered graffiti or silicone spray. WD40 is a water displacer, not an oil. Where's the cab with A/C for the new tractor. When you get a little more age on you, you would not get a new tractor for bush-hogging without a cab and a/c. It is a nice looking piece of equipment.
Nathan, most likely the reason you got comments re: WD40 on the barn door hardware is because it was originally formulated as a water and moisture dispersant(rust protection), not a lubricant. The ever increasing list of uses for WD 40 continues to expand, including soaking fishing bait in it - it's fish oil based. It doesn't have the lubricating properties of traditional oils and will dry out much faster. A better long term solution is a penetrating spray grease that has a penetrating dispersant that allows penetration in tight spots, where the dispersant then evaporates, leaving the grease in place. That's a nice new tractor. I don't know what I'd do with it, but I want one!
"Hi"- Nathan !! That is a really nice tractor you've bought and I love all the features that you highlighted !! I can see you having many hours of fun on that machine - especially with that new Brush Hog attachment !! That thing's gonna cut through the brush on your new property like a hot knife through butter !! Blessings !!
Lots of commercial grade backhoes and skip loaders that have manual shift transmission have a clutch button on the gear shift lever. Lots of them also have a clutch button on the loader joystick controller so that you can rev up the engine for faster action of hydraulic attachments. That is very useful when using the loader.
Fantastic video. There aren't enough 5835R videos posted by owners. I've been watching this tractor for a couple of years. I love that mechanical Kukje engine, and the loader lift capacity. And gear-driven with a power shuttle is the only way to go. I'm waiting for a cab version. I've had several dealers tell me they've heard there's one in the works, but it's been a couple of years, and so far no cab model. I guess we'll see.
The rear tire ballast is important, and I recommend a couple of cast iron wheel weights in addition for that monster of a front loader. I have a Kubota hydraulic shuttle and have been completely happy with it for bush hogging and discing, but I do honestly still prefer the HST for grapple work and inching around, especially into brush piles. A front grill guard with expanded metal or some type of heavy iron mesh is a great idea for grapple work. Whatever you do, don't rest your foot on the clutch pedal. The electro-hydraulic clutch can be an expensive bugger.
Awesome tractor, but what happened to never going back to a tractor without a cab! 😂 congrats on the new ride! I can’t wait to see what you’ll be doing next. Merry Christmas friend!
Nathan the audio sounds great even with the noise of the tractor. Your voice is louder and easy to understand. Merry Christmas and take care, Bruno and your wife also. God bless and take care from your very long-time California subscriber.
Good luck with the new tractor Nathan. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family. Stay safe and healthy. Can't wait to see that Brush Hog eat those weeds behind the barn. Great video thumbs up.
Congrats on the new tractor. I know Daniel really likes his, but not so much when Oklahoma weather hits triple digits, with the open operator station. I will re-comment from earlier that WD40 now has a white lithium spray that works great. Doesn't collect the dirt and lasts a fair amount of time. I've used white lithium on my doors and latches on over the road tanker trucks for years. I never leave home without it.
Good gracious Nathan! I can not remember being so happy for someone else's new gear than I am for you and this new tractor right now! I think the last time was when me and a buddy bought a junker car to run in the fields behind our houses and that was more years ago than I care to talk about! 😀 Ah Yes, and my new Mr Kota T Shirt is perfect! Got a few compliment on it from my family too! (For the T Shirt not me). All the best with that tractor my friend and looking forward to seeing how well it does on the brush work. 4 WD should be a big help of course.
Great you got it! I hope it is good. I don't drink coffee myself so I wasn't sure but I was told it is a good one. You are very welcome. @@OutoftheWoods0623
Loved tactors sunce i was sbout ten 65 yrs ago😊 my uncle had a IH he used in his peach tree vineyard. My family on my dad's side were from Oklahoma went the the dust bowl yesrs. My Son moved toTexas 2 years ago as fid my nephew. My nice and other nephew moved to North Carolina last year. Guess everyone is going back to their roots😊
I dearly love reviews, even if it's on a piece of equipment I'll never buy. Yours are among the best there is. Your audio that you asked about is perfect. A lot of amateur videographers ignore audio but you're alert.
My 70hp New Holland has a power shuttle. Absolutely love it. It’s different than a pure hydrostatic when doing loader or fork work and takes a little getting used to. Only advice I would give is when shifting from forward to reverse or vise versa, shift to neutral and really slow your speed before changing directions. Those transmissions are tough but no use in working them harder than necessary. I think I’m explaining that right. Great looking machine. You’re going to really enjoy it.
Absolutely love your channel. You have grown your business sooo much over the last several years. I always have that same thought, "I think it will work, so it probably won't." LOL
Nathan, I had a TYM 503 with a shuttle shift. HAD it about killed me as I was back filling a culvert with crushed rock. I had a bucket full of rock put the shuttle shift in neutral as I approached the hole for the culvert. It decided to engage as I was dumping the rock sending me and the tractor into the hole. It did it again so I called my dealer and he told me that I wasn’t getting it all the way in neutral. Long story short I loaded onto my trailer and took it to the dealer. As he was backing it off of the trailer it engaged and almost sent him and the tractor off the trailer. I traded the 503 for a 907 which I loved the 907. So all I’m saying is be careful. Also the clear glass guards are for protection if a hydraulic line should leak or break. Cheers
Certainly a nice looking unit Nathan, I hope it lives up to all your expectations, & I'm sure it will. Nice looking equipment you bought to match with it, should help make life a little easier, particularly with the two properties. Cheers mate, Don from South Australia.
TYM bought Branson a few years ago and last year started relabeling Branson models. 5835 being one of the former Branson models. I've had a Branson 2515H for about 3 years now, pushing it hard. Approaching 700 hours on it. I put 300 hours on the first year, mostly digging. Worst issue being I cracked the casting for the loader joystick. Pretty easy and reasonable fix and they have upgraded the part vs the original. Get colored ZIPTIES to mark the 4 hydraulic hozes to the loader. The colored tape will fade out. I do take the loader off for running the "Bush Hog" (Properly, a rotary cutter, with Bush Hog being a brand name) I find the ride smoother while cutting at speed without the loader on the tractor. They come off and go back on in just a couple of minutes.
I use Dry silicone spray, it works really well, and doesn't draw dirt and dust like other lubricants. I found out about it when I worked in a specialty wood mill up in White City Oregon.
That's the way to go. Smaller framed tractors with the smaller footprint with the bigger motors.. that suits a wider range of folks than the bigger tractors
Nathan - I noted when the bush hog attachment was being lowered to the trailer bed @ 01:02, that the 'blade mounting disc [if that's the correct terminology], had a bent or flanged edge on it. is that by design or is it worth looking into as it could upset the balance properties of the cutting unit?
Thanks Nathan I to had a budget but also didn’t think I would be on tractor but just a few minutes at a time moving logs/ lumber Thanks and enjoy new tractor
The shuttle shift is important when you're loading logs or piles of gravel. It allows you to move back and forth in the same area or concentrating your focus on Shifting the power to your Lift when you put on your break it. should be like a transmission break which puts all the power to your Lift. Put in forward on shuttle shift put you foot on the break and lift bucket. If it's working correctly it will stop moving forward and all power will go to front loader control s
You will get it in the barn eventually, and it will fit. Glad you got the new Tractor and additional attachments. Looking forward to seeing you in action with the new tractor. Stay safe and have fun. Fred.
What a beautiful tractor the added conveniences that it has is just amazing. Nathan this is not a critique just an fyi I did it to my tractor and what a difference it made in making it stable as a Mountain Goat turn the inside hubs around to get almost 1foot wider tire width and the other addition would be a BXPANDED Piranha Cutting edge for your new bucket. Still what an amazing Christmas present keep up the great videos.
WD40 is fine to get things moving but it isn't really a lubricant. It is a Water Displacing solvent. After a few days you will want to use a lithium based spray lubricant on the rollers and track. It won't dry out quickly and rain won't wash it away.
When it comes to the 3rd function or diverter valve on the front end loader,…I prefer the one that has one button that allows me to control the speed of opening/closing a grapple vs the two bottom that opens and closes at a set speed.
Power shuttles work very well and I love it for brushogging (bushhogging 😉) but there is definitely a long learning curve for it! It’ll def be jerky at times until you get used to it. Make sure to shift to neutral and not just shift right to R. Neutral with shuttle shift is your friend - even with bucket work when lugging into the pile, toss it in neutral to reduce engine lugging and tap your brake to keep it from rolling back too much. I think you’ll find though, once you get used to it, shuttle shift is ideal for bhog work hands down. Congrats on the new tractor!
Congratulations on the new tractor! It sounds like a bruiser! Everything looks well built! I'll be curious about any additional follow up on that third function...I need one on my LS XU5065. Take care and happy holidays to you and your family and everyone on your channel for that matter!

Very nice tractor! When I grew up (in Finland), I remember that late 90's Finnish tractor brand Valmet/Valtra had clutch on button also. Atleast the bigger valtra 8000 series had it. Not sure about the a little smaller 6000 series.
I Nathan very nice tractor and handy tractor and for your cat 2 use bushing you put inside the hole of your draw bar to become Cat 1. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Quebec Canada.

That power shuttle reminds me of when I drove forklift on a 10 hour night shift in the '70s. I'd clock out, climb into my car and invariably hit the left blinker trying to back out of my parking space.
Nice way to start the day. Not to mention the additional seven seconds of daylight.
Nathan, the audio was good when you had the camera on the loader arm and using the wireless microphone. Could hear a good amount of the tractor’s engine (very satisfying!), but had no trouble hearing you speaking.

New toys are so much fun to use.
Really like the 4 blade rotary cutter. It uses the same stump jumper blade attachment but with 4 blades. The finish mowing product is night & day .💡
My husband forgot to say, Congratulations on your new tractor, and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks, you too!
Nothing feels better than getting a brand spanking new tractor. A Good Christmas present to yourself, with all the tax write-offs.

Oops sorry no fish oil in WD-40

I can see you having many hours of fun on that machine - especially with that new Brush Hog attachment !! That thing's gonna cut through the brush on your new property like a hot knife through butter !! Blessings !!
WD40 doesnt work as well outdoors as a dry silicon spray. Nothing wrong with WD40, you'll just be applying it way more often. Love your channel.
Also holds dirt & debris.
Fluid film works great as well

Nahh got the big one still for that.
Thanks for watching sir
Audio while you are on the new tractor is excellent.
good audio balance. tractor noise not overwhelming.
That grapple will do a lot of work, and fast!

nice looking tractor , they sure have come a long way in my 30 years , john
its gonna be cold in the winter and hot in the summer with the open station tractor why didnt you buy one with a cab
Best of luck with the new equipment and Happy Christmas to and all the Family Nathan
WR-long is the same 3rd function that I have on my Kubota tractor I had my local dealer install it
I’m very happy just watching you enjoy…a wedged cotter pin. I love good tools myself. And Merry Christmas!
I love your humor Nathan !
Audio is good. My TYM1104'S shuttle shift is tricky, especially if you have to use the clutch to get into a tight or close space. But I love it.
Audio while you were on the tractor was fine. Your wireless mic is working.
Wireless microphone provided perfect voice audio-could hear you just fine. The tractor noise wasn’t too loud.
Congrats on the new machine!
Thanks!

Maybe one day!
That's the way to go. Smaller framed tractors with the smaller footprint with the bigger motors.. that suits a wider range of folks than the bigger tractors

That's a super little tractor.
58hp weighs 6500lbs but super little, yeah buddy.
The ability to go from forward to reverse on a switch is something I wish I had had when I used to empty a covered yard of manure back on the day.
The new tractor is a nice addition to the farm!
Get that brushhog on and clear some brush!
Hey Nathan - all blessings to you and yours at this special time of the year. See you soon!
Power shuttle is great. This new tractor you got is nice! Looked at them myself to purchase one.
It sure is!
Nice Tractor! Congratulations!!!
