  • Dangerfox makes some of the best mastering style studio desks around and one of the great options available is the midi keyboard tray. They have redesigned the tray to be easier on the knees and even upgraded the slider hardware.

    great video! i’m the packaging guy at Dangerfox, and i’m so glad you’re liking the new keyboard tray! there has been a ton of change going on at the shop, from redesigns to making machinery upgrades. so things have been pretty crazy! but we’re really really trying to do everything we can to get these orders out much faster, and we just got three new major upgrades at the shop that will help us out tremendously! the best is yet to come from Dangerfox.

      Still waiting on my desk. I am on week 25 and it appears I am told the same 4-5 week window after 4-5 weeks have past. I am so bummed and torn on my next steps before it is way too long for me to believe I will ever get he desk with my money I paid in full 25 weeks ago.

      What gets me is the Dangerfox site still states lead time as 10-12 weeks. I just do not feel that is fair to potential buyers.

      @@braxal6983 you’ll get the desk, i promise!there is only 6 of us out of 7 employees total that work with building/packaging the desks, and we do have a massive queue of orders that we’re really trying our best to get sent out. i’m so sorry it has taken so long! again, we’re in the process of making many upgrades to the shop to make things flow faster and be more efficient so we can keep up with the rate that orders are coming in.

      ​@@sparesun I appreciate the reply. I have been very excited to get this desk. It has been on my mind since the day I bought it. I think it took me quite awhile to finally decide to get it. I have my studio room still tore up waiting on it. I have lots of stuff untouched for months. Sorry for complaining, but I am sure you can understand where I am coming from.

      @@braxal6983 I absolutely understand where you’re coming from! I’m not sure what your name is, but based on your username and my order list… I’m assuming you’re Braxton F? If so, you’re pretty high up on the list, which means the guys should be close to finishing your desk and getting it to me in packaging. So hopefully very soon your desk will be sent out! :)

    Glad you got the midi tray problem sorted! I remember you said it was killing your knees! 😬
    Looks like dangerfox have redesigned it on their site.
    I’m considering this desk but It’s 50/50 with the Genesis 16U split bay. I can’t decide as I love both designs but unfortunately on the split bay space there is no rack to mount my uf8. However dangerfox said that they can create an inset for it which could be good. I think I’m swaying more towards the Genesis 24U as seeing your desk looks awesome man!

    Justin, I really like this desk and product but I am just really bummed and torn on what to do with them not responding to me about my order for a Gen 24U I did on the week of June 5th 2022. I did get a couple of emails over my concern about what is going on with the order and Aaron said there was like a 3-4 week delay. It is now about 6 weeks since that email and I still do not have the desk and no one is replying to my emails. I just do not know what to do at this point. I just cannot help being concerned. I have a room all tore up waiting on this nice desk.

      I totally understand Braxal. I felt the same way when waiting for mine when it was way past the deadline. It will definitely be worth it once you finally get it. I'm guessing you've emailed info@ and support@dangerfox.com about your order?

      @@justinbrogdon Aaron just got to me today in chat and apologized and is looking into my order on Monday. It appears they have been very busy with the amount of orders they have received.
      I just like to get this room finished and get to working and having fun, I hate being all tore up around here. I figured 10-12 week window would be good. I did not figure I be waiting over 20 weeks plus. I just wish they change their site on the estimated time so other do not get all upset if that window of time goes by without getting their order. I hope my desk comes soon.

    Unfortunately, dangerfox has developed a reputation of long delays and poor customer communication and service. I have heard this so many times from students over the last 2 years..so much so that I myself am in the market for a new studio desk and I won’t ever consider this company. Their desk look great and for the ultra high prices they charge, the customer service should be top shelf and it’s not from I have been told. Hopefully one day they can turn that around.

      Agreed. I shared those sentiments with them when I finally received my order. Their prices have gone up since I bought mine, but it doesn't appear that their customer service has gotten any better. Too bad, they make great stuff. Just out of curiosity, what other desk options are you looking at?
