  • I used-
    14" Keyboard Slide - from amazon
    12x36 Rubbermaid wooden shelf - from home depot
    X8-32 screws & nuts - home depot
    Tools-
    Drill
    Ratchet set
    Measuring tape
    Any questions feel free to ask. 👍🏽
    Used for an Alesis QX49 midi controller. If you want to use it for a bigger controller/synth you’ll either need bigger slides and wood or you can put wood in between the desk and slides to give you more space.

      Actually you can install the wood under the metal rail instead of the top

    Sheesh dude top job however...... I nearly had heart failure watching this with everything being sped up and the music! I could’ve cried when the keyboard didn’t fit at the end but all is well because you love purple and you have a keytar...and I’m going to look that music up because it’s awesome 😍

    looks good brotha! i noticed the dust cap in the center of your studio monitor was pushed in probably from a toddler. you can use a vacuum hose with no attachment(round) to pull it back out! i had to do it with one of mine in the past lol

    Really like what What you did a lot of people aren’t as descriptive and I actually like that you made the mistake of not measuring your keyboard height because that something that we all have to consider I saw another video where the guy had attached the same brackets onto some two by fours to make the slide drop down a little more than us having more clearance like you mentioned in your video and that was really good that you showed people to measure before hand the height not just the window and guess what the height of the keyboard anyway appreciate you a lot sounds great hey tell me what was the name of the very first piece of music that was playing I really love that. I’ll be installing my keyboard slide soon, Thanks for the inspiration. Oh one thing you did that was really good that was making me worried what is the putting the shelves under the table and then Miss measuring them but I like what you did that you put the sliding shelf right on the keyboard stand and then screw it into the desk that’s what I’m gonna do

    May I please ask a question? Unable to find. Under desktop is 29 inches. The front of the desk has a four-inch elliptical bump out. I have an 88 key midi controller. I need to be able to pull the 14" deep keyboard out with a 2-inch extra distance to fix cords if there is an issue. The real problem I can't figure out - is I want to be able to send the keyboard back like 18-20" to ensure no knee or other issues. I use a keyboard 20% of the time. Also, I would like to lock the keyboard in place once out, so it does not move when played. Do you have any ideas on finding the more extended hardware to allow using and pushing back? Thanks so much.

      Honestly it’s just a matter of doing your research online. I’m sure you can find the one you want on amazon.

    • @jholyrock

      InterStellaFella - about 3 inches

    • @martinespinomusic

      Interstellafella The heights are usually 3 1/2 to 4 inches something like that . When you search for them on Amazon they will give you the height

    And where do your knees go?

  • @xcaiqianx1
    @xcaiqianx1 4 года назад

    I did something similar. I cut and manually bended a sheet of aluminium to the dimensions of my new 88 keys keyboard and mounted it to my table using heavy duty tracks. However after using it for few weeks I realise that the vibrations from the drawer is a little too much. So you have any ideas on how I can get rid of the vibrations when I play?

    • @jholyrock
      @jholyrock  4 года назад

      Cai Qian 🤔🤔 that depends... what kinda table is it. Is it sturdy enough to begin with? Even without the slides? Would it vibrate alot with the keyboard on top?...... how big or thick are the legs? There’s alot of factors to consider.

    • @xcaiqianx1
      @xcaiqianx1 4 года назад

      @@jholyrock my table is a built in table and is very sturdy. It doesn't shake at all under any circumstances. The problem is probably with the drawer

    • @jholyrock
      @jholyrock  4 года назад

      Cai Qian yeah... maybe thicker wood? For the drawer?? An 88 keyboard is way heavier than a typical midi controller.

    I'm trying to take one of these out but the pillars go inward instead of outward so the front two screws are blocked by the tray .. how do I remove those screws ? take the tray off the rails ? but how

      @@jholyrock I mean I don't know the name .. the 4 metal parts that stick up just like yours, that you screw into the panel to support the keyboard tray .. I figured it out anyways .. it had two little screws on the outside and then the tray just popped up and out of the way .. thanks anyways

    Could this fit an 88 key keyboard

    • @jholyrock
      @jholyrock  4 года назад

      XPeanuhBudderX you would just need a bigger shelf. Basically something that is bigger than whatever you’re using. Also you would probably want to use stronger/tougher screws to hold up the weight of such a keyboard.
