I've been a G8 owner for as almost a year (May 2020.) I have the base 2008 V6. SV6 Commodore.
I've noticed a lot of G8 owners complain about the positioning of the window switches. Understandable. But I HATE the placement of the truck release button!

I have a G8 base model that I bought in 2008 new. I like it even if it only has 270HP.
The window switch location was just like my BMW E30 so was no big deal as well as the manually adjustable seats. It’s terrible you have to actually move and turn a dial. Lol.
Yeah it scrapes still does mine is pretty rough on the bottom.

I agree with everything in here. Bugs me that the previous owner hit some curbs. Underside of the front bumper is all scraped up!

Actually looking to buy a GXP. I need more power lol. I'm getting out of a 2011 Dodge Charger RT Max AWD. (I actually have a way to force RWD it so yes I've been having fun) My question to you is have you sold it yet and if not how much are you willing to part with it for?

@@FrAnC15c0V3G4 you need to do your homework kid. Go look up tazer by Zautomotive then apologize. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ If you just coming into the car scene do your research before you say something. Makes you look not intelligent. 3 settings come with the tazer and a bunch of extra goodies like linelock. Forced AWD, Forced RWD and Normal mode. That pic on my name is my AWD doing a burn out.

I had one and wish I still did. Silver with red interior. Auto with sunroof. Too bad they didn’t offer a nav at the time.

I was debating on the GXP or the Cadillac CTS-V3 for a while. Got the CTS-V3 but I still want that GXP🤾♂️

I have the exact same car. 2009 GXP Silver. I love mine but I might let her go soon maybe.
Such great cars!! I was sad to let mine go but sometimes it’s time to try other things. It’s sad when that happens - but the way the market is you should be able to get top dollar!

As a GT owner, I hate the typical GM cheapness. Replacing parts that most other cars will never have an issue with. Besides that, I love the car and plan to own it forever.

My five things I hate about my G8 GT : strut bushings go bad, super expensive aftermarket audio options, Horn is too quiet, A/C belt will jump off at high rpm, insurance is too high.. I really love the car but I'm planning to trade it for a Mercury Marauder..
Massive downgrade lol
Not hard to change the horn, just get an aftermarket one. In regards to the belt jumping off would be done to a misalignment and I'm guessing it is the A/C compressor which is the cause and so it would be easy to get that sorted out.
