Hi John, For me 88 films is one of the very best labels in what they put out there from some varied genres, the special treatment that they give is all high quality stuff from features to packaging extras & at affordable prices 😎. “The night train murders” one I was pleasantly surprised in how good & violent it was 😳😎& a movie I never heard of if it wouldn’t be for 88 films, great stuff here John 👍

Another excellent video mate! I agree with the top 5, depending if you just watched something the list could change. The board of censors at the BBFC seem to be letting some animal cruelty scenes through. Just as you said with Man from Deep River and I recently watched 88 films ironmaster and that a couple of scenes that's surprised me. Amazonia the Catherine Miles Story has some similar scenes.

I'm sometimes confused by that 🤔 I remember that the missing scene in Ironmaster was available online if you wanted to view it, which felt like, if that was so, why cut it out if its available in that way 🤯🤯 but if I hear a movie is cut for animal cruelty I can live with that! I've been looking forward to your part 2 John, another video we'll done. I purchased Pigs from the 88 Films store about 3 weeks ago so I am pretty sure it's still available. It doesn't have the slip case so that must be for the first pressing. I can live with that as it's better than the movie being completely out of print. I'm really enjoying your content mate 👏👏👍❤

Just got that Night of the Demon bluray. Enjoyable film, but the extras make it even better. There's a weird story behind how it was made... quite similar to the mad story behind the making of Spookies. The "Ban the Sadist Videos" 2 part documentary is great too.

The interview with the director (I think) talks about the making of. Starts with the director saying something like "The film I made didn't have any gore in it." Ha ha

Hi John. Some great choices in there. Some of my favorite films 😜 Nighttrain Murders I find way more disturbing and even more violent than Last House on the Left. That the main lady doesn’t get what you think is coming to her kind of blew me away. A nice twist within the formula. I just watched Night of the Demon 2 nights ago. Wow, so much fun. A crazed Bigfoot pretty much going on a rampage like he is Jason Voorhees 😜😂 the final showdown in the cabin with Bigfoot swinging around entrails had me laughing 😆 but in the best way. Night of the Demon just goes for it. Absolutely Bonkers and Brilliant 🤯
Yeah Night train murders is way more nasty than Last House and the woman in the Train is far more repellent than the one in last House 🤯🤯 she's a great character for sure Wolf!! Night of the Demon has its limitations but it really does strive for greatness in its own way 👌 its so much fun!! It was probably unintentional to make the ending entertaining but I think they were trying to add running time to the movie so they slow motioned it so it would last longer but its quite hokey which us its charm I feel 🤩🤩👍👍
Hey I noticed this video is in 1080p HD😀 So how much longer did it take to upload? and do you maybe know why 88 Films is called that? when i first heard about a U.K. label called 88 Films i thought it was like a film company that produces musicvideo's for bands like Skrewdriver.🤨 For a fun movie night i have always preferred Andreas Schnaas' remake of Antroprophagous above D'Amato's rather slow moving original
To be honest I didn't know this was in 1080p 🥴😃 my editing software has a setting which just does the setting for me, although my previous one which I ditched was set to 1080p and it took ages to render!!! I've got the German Astro DVD of Anthro which is under the title of The Grim Reaper. I think it's the America cut with the gory scenes inserted (VHS quality.) The title music in it is actually the same as the title music in Delirium.
I also have D'Amato's Antropophagous on German DVD but it is under the title of "Man-Eater (Der Menschenfresser)" on the Nocturne Cinema label from 2003 and is definitely uncut as on the cover is mentioned: Erstmals komplett ungeschnitten and there is not a single FSK logo to be seen anywhere. (I have learned the hard way to stay away from German DVD's with an FSK-rating, there are horror DVD's that say FSK 18+ and still they have edited out some unconvincing cheap splatter effects, Germany has the most censorship of any western European country)
