Movie Story:
Through hope, determination, sacrifice and the drive to protect families and communities, the Granite Mountain Hotshots become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country. While most people run from danger, they run toward it -- watching over lives, homes and everything people hold dear, forging a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire in Yarnell, Ariz.

This movie left me sobbing like a baby. It's such a shame that barely anyone has seen it. Cannot even imagine what it must have felt for those men the last minutes of their lives. RIP. Lots of respect to all the firefighters, especially the wildland firefighter and hotshots who probably don't get that much recognition cause they don't "directly" save lives.
I just watched this movie. I thought it was supposed to be an action packed movie. I was wrong my girlfriend and I watched it and at the end we was both in tears. To make things worse it was based on a true story. So I research these hero’s story after the movie. Then after that I had a dream about them. I never watching a movie and I been so upset and proud at the same time, only other time I felt this way was after I watched American Sniper.
You had me agree with everything until you said the American sniper. Chris Kyle was a cold-blooded murderer. Filled with nothing but hatred and a need to kill.
But you're right. I also thought this would be just a random action movie. I'm glad it wasn't.
*were
Same bro i randomly download it but it's one of the best movie based on true event.
Being a firefighter I can’t watch this twice
Unknown Australian but you can sure comment about it.
Unfortunatelly, when firefighters do their best to prevent a huge fire people don't see it and think nothing serious would have happened.
@@WiredInside Wait why every American? Firefighters are pretty much the same all over the world, and this scenario could've happened anywhere. It probably _did_ happen multiple times in different places.
@@guicaldo7164 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019%E2%80%9320_Australian_bushfire_season
Considering the fire season in Australia and the OP name, saying "every American" seemed bizarre to me. Firefighters are appreciated everywhere.
Why did they light the fire around them though the fire seemed far enough away to run away from it
RIP the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots

Always had a special type of respect for firefighters.
RIP from the Netherlands
One of the most heartbreaking scenes of all time, Only the Brave is also one of the greatest movies ever made
This movie deserved way more recognition than what it got.
It's so heartbreaking to see the fire roaring and takes everything with it, and 19 firefighters had all been burned to the ground. R.I.P. to those heroes. The implied meaning of the fire bear and foreshadowing of the sound of helicopter at the beginning of the film make this scene‘s audio-visual impact a lot stronger and heartmoving. This movie deserves more!!
The scenes when the reporter confirmed they dies really made me tears.. And im not even American.. Salute to this heroes from 🇲🇾
Respect from germany
As the child of a firefighter and a firefighter myself, this scene is very devastating. From where im from, people dont especially pay respect to firefighters, as with the government itself, but the job itself is tough being an all rounder
Where are you from?
It's a shame that the box office for this masterpiece movie hasn't been successful.
I watched so many touching movies based on true stories. I mean like Black Hawk Down, Lone Survivor, 13 Hours...but I've never felt so devasteted like after Only the Brave...
You should also check out Everest, where Josh Brolin is beat by low temperature, if you haven't already.
@@jiratnitipon9005 already done. Great movie.
It is the sheer powerlessness against nature that makes it fascinating and scary at the same time.
I knew a smoke jumper in Colorado, had been a wildfire smoke jumper for many years,,he had been in many fires and had been to fires where guys had died just like this. He said that when they came upon hotshots who had died when the fire had overtaken them, it smelled like barbecued meat,,a sickening sweet smell,,(his words). He said he never forgot the smell and couldn't eat bbq ever again. And he had nightmares every night and woke up crying from all the horrible things he had seen and men he had found lost this way. He was a great man, a strong and tough man, that did great things in his life. He was one Tough SOB,,,but when he had a few beers he would tell me about it and then say " don't mind these tears, a man who can't cry ain't a man".
Respect from the Philippines 🇵🇭
RIP Respect and gratitude from Australia.
My Tears Come Out When I See This Scene
You're not the only one.

Huge respect from India 🇮🇳
R.I.P Respect from Korea
I remember watching this with my gf. The ending left us weeping. Felt so sad for the boys. The feeling stayed with me for many days. Have a totaly different respect for firefighters after this movie. Hit me twice as hard since the main character really looks like my dad. Lol
thanks for the HD upload!
RIP respect from Egypt
Mann So Traurig Hhh.....
Respect von Deutschland👨🚒
Sensational. It's a movie based on a real story...a story of heroes. It really inspired myself and it transmitted true moral values to me. I have watched it with my father and it's been special. Hope it will get the recognition it deserves. 💪❤️
Was in tears after the whole movie, RIP guys,...
I remember this happing and was excited to see the movie, after all large amounts of the US never heard of Hot Shots till this sadly happened. I always figured the sound of the fire was over dramatized till the Australiana fires were caught on camera. Cant even try to understand how they felt in their last few minutes. God speed to all you Hot Shots out there.
Hope those men are up there sitting at the same table with all other peace workers
R.i.p to all of this incredible man 💔
These firefighters are true heroes.
Their deeds will never be forgotten ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I never cried so long before...
Geez, my eyes were waterfalls for 15 minutes straight...
I have a deep and special respect for widland firefighters. So many of them have given their lives for the sake of others.
Respect from sweden! RIP❤
Only the brave.. 🥺🥺🥺🥺 They were brave ,they were heroes
Rip.
Huge respect from Germany🇩🇪
If you were paying close attention you might notice the Team Lead say "Rookies on the inside"
This was to put the newer firefighters in the Inside to increase their chances of survival as much as possible.
You might've also noticed the regret and despair on the Deployment, Wild Firefighters are trained to not rely on the Fire Shelters they are given and only use them as a last ditch effort if all else fails.
As Fire Shelters can survive heat up to 2,000 Degrees f' But only for a Minute at most
The way they looked at the fire knowing there was a chance it was too rough to survive
Truly a sad death, using the equipment you trust your life with only to die inside of it surrounded by your brothers.
My respects to those who died on the frontlines, and those who are still fighting.
Fire shield can withstand temperature of 500F but it was 2000 F according to google.
It brought tears in my eyes.
And only if the Pilot of the plane didn't F'up as well.
@@indianlion9652 most forest/bushfires are. The equipment is good, but faced against a fire like that, the grim truth is that there is no chance of survival.

So sad😢😢

What a movie!

Never have I seen a more heart wrenching, horrifying, painful use of CGI in a feature film
Respect from California R.I.P 😭😭😭
Respect from Poland 🖤😓
This is the one movie that comes close to showing how bad the Aussie firestorm black Saturday was, 100’s of people died because like in this video the wind was so fast moving and the heat was so hot that day that it made it into the perfect storm and everyone’s escape routes got cut off, this isn’t an every day fire, this is a fire storm, the shit that will wipe out entire towns and there’s nothing that can be done, one of the scariest things to happen in Aussie history
R.I.P. Respect from Turkey...
Someone asked why they didn't try to make a run up the hill behind them, it would have been impossible to outrun the fire. Heat rises and fires double their speed with every 10° increments, the Yarnell hill fire (irl) was reported to travel 10 to 15 mph on flat ground. Imagine trying to outrun a fire up a hill thats roughly 45°. The fire would have been traveling at least 50-60 mph up the hill behind them...swallowing the fleeing firefighters in seconds. Deploying shelters was the only option.
Respect from Kazakhstan. It's very tough to watch it.
So sad 😭
Rip😔
RIP you 19 legends
Josh Brolin said shelter same way like Eric Marsh on radio transmission before he died
Rest in peace granite mountain hotshots
R.I.P Huge Respect in California 😭😭
rip
Esta cena acabou comigo..
E saber que foi real me deixou completamente desolado..
Que estes guerreiros descansem em paz!!
🕊️🕊️🕊️
It's crazy how outdated this fire protection tech was just a few years ago.
RIP
Fire
I rember this day im from az
This broke me and made me so angry. In what logic governments think so little of our brave fire fighters. that wrapping up like a potato will save them the only thing they saved is money.
There were heroes. And it also based on a real tragedies. This is so heartbreaking 💔 😢
I cant watch it 😢😢
Oh God. Oh dear God.
I’m still thinking about what Eric meant when he said “you too!” To Jesse.
We reward media influencers. and not our police, doctors, armed forces etc. It hurts. Do we need a war to remind us. .
I say this as a doctor who has seen death
Rip indonesia
sehr gute scene mit dem brennenden bären sowas passiert viel zu selten
RIP from Armenia
RiP 🙏 all the heroes who face the fire monster...but had they any chance to survive under those fire proof blankets?
WE SALUTE THEM TO BE PROMOTED TO BE THE HERO OF fire.
Those Tankers or Planes are utterly useless, i hope they have the same feeling of guilt Donut felt.
they're all heros
wouldn't it have been better to have tried to run for it... try and make it as far as they could....so sad :(
They were surrounded on every side
High winds accelerates the fire 🔥 they would’ve never out ran it sadly 😭
R.I.P FIREFIGHTERS
I don’t think I’d ever trust the deployment bags I’d just take my chances and run away from the fire I don’t think I’ve ever heard of them being successfully used and I’d rather fight then lay down and go through this it was a terrible way to go
The fire was advancing at 12 miles per hour. You wouldn't have had a chance...
You have literally no chance of surviving under this situation the amount of smoke you have to inhale while running will exhaust you to death.
Rest In Peace
Anche se non fossero stati lì non sarebbe cambiato nulla.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 😞 so sad the fe is tooooo strong
There final moments where possibly sow painful as the fire just burns through there fire protection tents I hoped they survived
This is true story that occurred on June 30 2013, they got trapped by the fire and lost their lives, heroes 🙌❤
R.I.P Huge in California
😥
They died exhausted :(
Mi dispiace per loro, ma è la realtà.
Non è un sacrificio se si muore per nulla.
You can hear the real voice of Jesse (the team leader of the Granite Mountain Hotshots) in ruclips.net/video/gfmPgAA2AMU/видео.html around 1:53. Exactly the same words of what Josh Brolin (who played Jesse) says in the movie clip around 1:20.
😭
Vigili del fuoco forestali.
Why didn't the air tanker drop water when it flew over?
They didn't have any visual on them
@@benmcccool0123 they knew they were supposed to. If they would have dropped it they could have lived.
cause of the signal lost
Cierra Snyder maybe not
No visual, but radio chatter clogged up a lot of interference
All those men nearly as old as me babies barely even starting life got taken away to soon
If only that plane didn't F'UP they could have survived.
Fuckin lit lmao
