I recognised straight away what she was doing with the Elvis impression, but I've heard her impressions before especially On The Dreaming :) it's the intention that counts. This is a really good interview I like what she says about art and music, it's so easy to get stuck tweaking and editing a composition on a computer and lose yourself in that process and forget why you ever enjoyed making music in the first place, it becomes boring and a chore, better to play and let youself go and see what happens.
I like how when the interviewer questions, imcredulously, whether that was really an impersonation of Elvis, Kate responds, even more incredulously, why yes, yes it is! You can hear the determination and decisiveness that is part of her core personality just in that instance...
If anyone has YT premium please download all the Kate Bush interviews please. They are being deleted a lot. Esp. Ones 2000 and on. Please if you do post them.
The Great among these spirits the Elves name the Valar, the Powers of Arda, and Men have often called them gods. The Lords of the Valar are seven; and the Valier, the Queens of the Valar, are seven also. These were their names in the Elvish tongue as it was spoken in Valinor, though they have other names in the speech of the Elves in Middle-earth, and their names among Men are manifold. The names of the Lords in due order are: Manwë, Ulmo, Aulë, Oromë, Mandos, Lórien, and Tulkas; and the names of the Queens are: Varda, Yavanna, Nienna, Estë, Vairë, Vána, and *Nessa.* Melkor is counted no longer among the Valar, and his name is not spoken upon Earth.
Kent Mains Indeed it would, but for 20 years it wasn't. Certainly was appropriate when I made my account. Funny how things turn out. Btw, Christian Horner who is the team principal of Red Bull went to see Kate Bush last year. Whether he is a long time fan or if he wanted to keep his gf/current wife company I don't know. I hope it's the former. I hope he dragged *her* . Lastly, you can fit George Harrison, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney in a McLaren and that ain't bad. I know because I've seen it. :) Nick Mason of Pink Floyd has one too. Elvis Presley drove one in one of his movies.
Kent Mains Well, as much as I respect Button and Alonso they're not Senna and Prost - who in my mind are two of the finest drivers ever in the history of motor racing. I can't remember much of the "good old days of Senna and Prost" because I was 6 at the time, but I watched the races with my mum and was impressed. Children are very impressionable. That same year we finally got cable tv and little me got introduced to a lot of music I never had heard of before. Back then MTV actually played old music videos and had artist specials in which they played their most famous videos. One day I saw a video with a strangely dressed woman behaving very oddly in my eyes. After the video was over I learned the name of the artist. Kate Bush. The video was "Sat In Your Lap" - probably not the best way for a 6 year old to be introduced to K.B. . :) She actually half scared me and I think I decided to avoid her whenever somebody said a video with her was coming up. Like I said before, children are impressionable, but in this instance I got a bad first impression. lol It took a lot of years before I actually discovered her (through a friend) but then I could also listen to 8 of her albums at once and overdose on her. What a rush! Trying to pitch her to friends and acquaintances so that they can see the light. Hope there's a new album soon.
I LOVE YOU KATE!
Kate Bush is everything

Elvish impression? She's not an Elf: she's Valar!

Yes, I think so too. I was surprised it had not been posted sooner.
Yep, she's right.
Wait, vinyl was still successful in the 90s?
I bought nothing else in the early to mid 90s

idiosyncratic?? does the journalist know the meaning of the word?
Do you? You seem offended by it.
McLarenMercedes McLarenHonda would be more appropriate now.

I loved the good old days of Senna and Prost, hopefully those days can return again soon.
