Best post-GD band by far. I loved the no Drums>space.
What about "the dead"?.. it had all four remaining surviving grateful dead members with warren haynes.. I think they was way more smoking than furthur
@@forestreed3540 I don't like Warren's playing in the context of GD music. John K. Sounded so much like 1970s Jerry it was perfect to my ear. Also I love Russo more than 80 year old Billy and Mickey combined.
The gang was smokin' in Utica this night. As I said to the young man standing next to me who had never been privileged to hear Jerry + the Dead, "this is the closest thing to the Dead that you are ever going to hear." This is a magnificent show.
I disagree..
I think The Dead back in 2003,3004,and 2009 was way more rocking . Then furthur.
They had all 4 remaining grateful dead surviving members.. but that's just my opinion.
They started touring regularly and stuff again when they turned into furthur.
You should check out "the dead 2009" and stuff.. it's pretty hot
Just watched this video saw the GD about 250 times never saw the dead but saw Further about 65 times sometimes further was better than the Grateful dead amazed that I'm saying that

This was my first of many Furthur shows, the China>Wheel>Rider was absolutely mind blowing
