I was high school kid in Japan at the moment and I’ve watched this tape 1000times over and over. Started my own band with low technique after watched this. Good old high school.
Shake was great , epic debut. But Southern Harmony was timeless classic , which I think set the foundation for the long run . Cease was out , and they brought in Marc Ford and god bless him Eddie Harsch on keys , the birds took flight .
GREETINGS FROM THE GREAT STATE OF ARKANSAS IT'S IT'S REALLY NICE TO SEE THE OLD FOOTAGE LIKE THIS THOSE WERE SIMPLER TIMES IN BETTER DAYS THE BLACK CROWES ALL OF THEM THEY LOOK FABULOUS AS ALWAYS AND STILL DO...WHAT A SHAME WHAT HAPPENED TO JEFF CEASE AND THEN JOHNNY CALLED LEFT SUCH A SHAME BUT THEY WERE ON DRUGS AND MARIJUANA AND EVIE DRINKING I DO NOT CHRIS IS VERY ARROGANT MAN WHAT THEY ALL HATE HIM NOW READ THE DRUMMER'S STEVE GORDMANS BOOK THAT JUST CAME OUT... I'm a huge Black Crowes fan, but that live footage was and is subpar, to say the least. Especially Chris's vocals. I understand that they were sophomores here. Thankfully their performance quality improved greatly, as they went on.
pretty soon okay state of Arkansas this was a they were very young here they were fabulous at the time what memories in to see the old cars incredible and it wasn't that long ago simpler better days they were The Black Crowes look gorgeous hear what a shame what happened to Johnny cold and Jeff cease. read the drummer Steve Gorman spoke if you get a chance I opening do not idolize these people they're just human beings just like the rest of us marijuana junkie losers
Correct, but I think it aired on Japanese TV in 1991. I received this from a guy in Japan at the time. I think I got it in a trade back in 92. The Black Crowes June 30th 1990 - Silver Stadium - Rochester, NY supporting Aerosmith and Metallica. broadcast as a television special in Japan.
No i get it and i thought that might be the case but for other's thinking the same as i was when i saw the "91" and watched the video, i just wanted to clarify that what we were watching was indeed filmed in 90' during the Pump tour. Thank you by the way for putting the video up. It's mega.
Yeah Chris and your life isn't a lie. Mister wannabe Kieth Richards trying to recreate the vibe of Exile On Main Street. Do something else! You have one of the best voices in Rock history, but you try so hard to play the role of the decadent rock star when being yourself would serve you better.
Chris dancing, has to be my favorite thing to watch!

@@anaparada7219 Wow. All-caps like it's 1994. Really getting into the spirit there.
Beer tastes so good with the Crowes 🍺

Wickedvoid96 indeed 💨

Wickedvoid96 sometimes salvation is mine ...that Marc Ford lead is Soul
Chris Robinson sure was a good looking man back then 😊❤
I think he's better looking now.. seasoned ❤

Chris & Rich rule
Hopefully they reunite at some point...
Oh boy! do i have some news for you
Who else thought the guy in the yellow shirt by the trailer was Freddy Mercury at first??

Boy you can really see the tension between Rich and Chris so early in their career.
No you can't. If you weren't aware you'd never notice. I see no tension
This was June 30th 1990 not 1991. The Black Crowes were supporting Aerosmith as were Metallica that night.

What about the warrant gear in the background? Did they open for warrant?
Who's the lead guitarist?
Buddy Ollie Jeff Cease
literally hundreds of people screaming Black Crowes wearing Metallica T-shirts. Fucking funny.

I’m not a Chris Robinson fan (I mean as human being, not as a musician), but he’s ALWAYS himself, for good or bad
