      What’s Blade Runner film release got to do with this interview?? Did Sex Pistols contribute to the film score or something, or influence the wardrobe of the replicants?

    • @NR-rv8rz
      @NR-rv8rz 3 года назад +4

      @@Pulsonar No, it's a reference to how a seminal moment in entertainment history like the release of Blade Runner which seems like far, far in the past but even that was not going to happen until five years after this interview was aired. It's a way of appreciating just how long ago this was even though it looks quite modern.

      @@NR-rv8rz I appreciate what you mean, I tend to think of time and it’s passing along those lines too. I was only a kid but remember the interview with these new punksters well. You could say the same thing about Star Wars, Third Encounters..., or even Jaws, not eclectic as the more cerebral and spell binding Blade-runner, but ancient 70s sci-fi movie classics that were still about a year from release at the time of this notorious TV interview.

    Steve’s hair was so untameable curly he didn’t even look punk I thought bc he couldn’t spike hair like that. First time I noticed his Gino gold chain! It doesn’t fit into the overall look. Mind you Paul just spiked his hair and wore normal clothes. Those two always stood out to me. I did my best to copy John. Give me a break I was 15 !

      Cookies hair is quite normal haircut for that era. Wasn't some fashion statement. It's just a hair cut. I spoke to Paul outside a pub in London just by gold hawk Station. He ate a few of my chips. I said he was e legend and he laughed and said legend? It was a missed opportunity to have a real chat and a photo for sure. But me being the polite English man I didn't want to bother him. I watched them at Manchester gig in 07 it was an epic night. Loved every minute of it.

    Yeah yeah, read all ya banal comments vis-a-vis how they look, what they"re wearing drinking Fosters etc etc but ALL of you that call yourselves "fans" are missing the MOST important fact about this band, I dig on them HARDCORE always have, but you all need to realise they accomplished something that was NEVER done before and will NEVER be done again even in this time of social media. NO BAND has ever released an album that went to number one in ONE DAY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO AIRPLAY !!!! TRUE FACT . Never has and never will be done again.So no matter what you may think of the band - take THAT !!!
