Thanks I’m in DR and don’t want to go back home unless I absolutely have to. We had a consultation with an attorney saying I had to go back but this confirms that I don’t and can begin the process here 😊
You don't have to go back to start the process. Getting your fingerprints here is very difficult and may have to go back for that.

Married to Dominican last 30 months still waiting. Last 12 - 18 months with a reputable Dominican lawyer. It is easier getting residency in the US.
When I did my translations for dual citizenship for Ecuador I used immitranslate -the website. Maybe this will help out someone save some money. Great video. I will need to do this in a year or so for Dominican Republic. 🤞

@Dee-pj7hh It wasn't a prank, I really didn't have the mic attached to my shirt like always but luckily it was laying closet enough in front of me that the audio didn't sound bad. Typically I would have to do it all over because of the bad echo. Normally we would realize before I got all the way to the end😄

If you were born here and have birth certificate you can just go get your cedula.

How long can a person live or stay in DR With out establishing residency, The process sound like headache.
You can stay in the country legally for 30 days and apply for an extension up to 120 days legally. Some overstay their visa and just pay an exit fee when they leave the country. That fee varies depending on the length of the overstay.

We went to the Palacio de Policia in Gazcue. But we had someone help us with that. You can go there and ask about it.
