I love the performances of this extraordinary group. I'm 81 and fairly new to cell phones. So when I found I could hear such beautiful music on it. I wad ecstatic. Tha k you
Baroque music has been and will always be my FAVORITE type of classical music. I just can't get enough of it. Thank you so much for posting this wounderful performance. Suscribed as soon as I found this channel.
Excellent performance...loved the singer, in particular! FYI- Wynton Marsalis and Kathleen Battle made a recording ( several years ago)which has several similar selections....
Rowan has such a great technique and a lovely pure sound and interprets Bach's music wonderfully well which is not easy. Backed by such a great band. it is wonderful.
These music have a healing effect, and a great paracea of the soul The wonderfulness and comfort of this anthology is an order of magnitude more awesome I am satisfied with these music
Classical music is God's great gift to mankind... It's a window by which I see a heavenly kingdom... It's a language in which the greatest spirits speak directly to my soul... It's a lifetime love affair in which I found the purpose and meaning of my life... It's my religion!
It's been said (on another video) that, in Let The Bright Seraphim, Rowan Pierce and David Blackadder are performing what Handel was hearing in his mind's ear when he composed this piece. Surely, there could be no greater compliment.
Thank you! This concert was given on 24th October, 2019 (in London. The same artists also performed this programme in Cambridge, UK in October 2019, twice in California in December 2019, and in Bath, UK in early 2020)
Nine thumbs down. Why listen to Baroque music if you don’t like it. It’s quite clear before you select the video what you’re going to get. I find it difficult to believe that any serious music lover would not appreciate this.
RUclips no longer shows thumbs down ! Although this can be annoying for truly bad content ,it does prevent deliberate adverse and spiteful targetting of much superb content (this performance being a case in point)! Overall a good decision in my view !!
Hi! I might suggest you put "Date unk." or "c. 1750" or whatever you can guess for the year when it's not known instead of "Unknown". Somehow I misread it at first as the composer being unknown. I know, I'm a dummy, but there are many of us on RUclips.

This is the cutest comment I've seen on RUclips in a long time!
Its even better on a decent sound system.
it is vitally important to have such beautiful music during this critical moment
himmler heinrich It is always vitally important to have beautiful music in this difficult (I hesitate to say ugly) world.

Loved the rendition of BWV 51!
Elsker at høre haendel fortolket sange mv. Skøn musik, som er udødelig, og god for humøret, barok, når det er Bach, og bedst, også.
10:01 At first I thought, "Where's Rowan?"" Then I realized she was going to walk in just in time to start singing. I love it! Drama!
WOW! Rowan is the best!!

just one question - how do you pronounce Čičićv?
Rowan: MARRY MY SON!!!!

Hi Bert, try clicking the audio icon on the bottom left of the screen?
Why the extravert vibrato in the voice of the soprano?
Because she is a very bad singer. Reminds me of what Jorge Bolet said, "the English have always embraced mediocrity".
@@dudeforcaster8630 Whilst there is nothing mediocre about your level of musical ignorance, which is truly spectacular
@@martinevans5802
Oh diddums...was it my quoting JB's swipe at the English that hurt you so much?
@@dudeforcaster8630 Much of Bolet's catalogue was recorded in England by a British company. I wonder if they were 'embracing mediocrity'?
@@glynnwright1699 One of the weakest strawman arguments I've read in quite sometime.
