There are many great interpreters in Korea. She is good but not the best yet. Some political interpreters are translating simultaneously well and even more perfect.
Chris Evans once said on interview, "Director Bong is a borderline genius" Yes! It's so very true! Mr.Bong does everything. Theme, story making, conti, directing and so on. He is like a total package in terms of movie itself.
This man directed one of my all time favorite films Memories of Murder. That film is a masterpiece to me and I’m excited to see his next film. His English is good 👍
He has to keep it up with his english speaking because not a lot of these directors from east is able to speak english because they can't find a simple and effective way to communicate or even learn english. The only people that I know from movies and interviews who can speak english are Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Ken Watanabe - actors from Japan Don Lee, Steven Yeun, Byung hun Lee- actors from Korea Joe Taslin , Iko Uwais- actor from Thailand Ryuhei Kitamura, Timo Tjahjanto, John Woo and Ang Lee are some of the directors that comes to my mind. So you know :one step forward and two steps back. But I belive there is still time , we can change this the only thing we need is a solution.

Parasite is my favourite film of 2019 and probably one of the best films I've ever watched in my life. What I would do to erase it from my memory and experience it for the first time again.
He's such a breath of fresh air in Hollywood! I'm a mad fan of him since "The Mother" 8-ish years ago! I was immediatley like - "Why he's not the most discussed director in the world? He should be!" So glad he gains so much respect in Hollywood now!

I have watched on RUclips, I think, EVERY interview Dir. Bong did in promoting "Parasite." I watched some of them multiple times. Some were marred by incompetent questioners, inelegant questions, or lack of time or depth. This piece suffered from NONE of these. David Poland was well prepared, insightful, and seemed truly knowledgeable and interested in getting "into the mind" of this unbelievable genius film maker. IMO, this was by far the best Bong Joon Ho interview. My hat is off to Mr. Poland. Thank you.
at 16:00 he explains the reason, at least to me, why we relate to this film. Its that deep down I think your rooting for everyone to win. That is how I felt watching this film and the ending is what makes it so powerful.
He prefers small lol. He doesn't want to be swayed by BIG budget studios. He is truly aware of the danger/risk taking money from big capitalism. He is a true artist. He values his creative freedom more than commercial success backed by big budget.

His style works best in low budget, but when he needs he doesn't shy away from having more money to work with. Interpreting or Verbal translating is far more challenging than written translation, b/c you must convert the meaning instantly while written translating can be done at your own pace. Interpreting has way much longer history before Columbus discovery or industrial revolution, before the real world trade started.
