Can’t wait to start skating again! My new school does roller skating as a fun sport so I’m dying to buy a pair (my others don’t fit, I bought them 5 years or so ago
That was really helpful. And I’m going to check out that skate store. Do yo have any videos about the wheels themselves? I’m trying to figure that out to make my outside skate experience better.
Hey! Thank you so much this was really helpful and easy to understand. I have a question that I was hoping you could answer for me. I just got my moonlight rollers about a month ago but the front wheels on one skate barely turn and are really stiff. I took them off as per you instructions and wiped them down with dry paper towel and removed the hair from around the axl / wheels. Both inside bearings are stiff but I can feel the outside ones are much smoother and fast spinning. And if I put them loose enough that they do spin nicely then they have that too loose jiggle sound that you show in the video. I didn’t take the bearings out bc I don’t have that tool yet and I thought it was too soon given I just bought them. Can you tell me how I fix this besides I guess I have to sweep more often and keep my floors clean and hair free lol! Will bearing wash be enough to fix them? I can’t need new bearings after less than a month can I? I would appreciate your skate expertise if you have a moment.
Thank you for this! I changed the wheels on my Sure Grip Boardwalks but reused the bearings. There was this black thing in between the 2 bearings. What is that? Do I need to put that on my new wheels?
Hi! I just discovered your videos and I’m a new roller skater and your videos have helped me improve so thanks! But I want to upgrade my wheels, and want to buy Radar 57mm 78A wheels. But how can I know if they fit my rollerskates? The diameter is the same as the original wheels, but if you buy new wheels and u have the right diameter and hardness are they sure to fit the rollerskates?
Someone help me. I'm new to skates. Skates already come with wheels, so why do I need to purchase bearings to add different wheels? Do wheels not come with any bearings?
This was very helpful because my three children including my husband and I now have our own skates and we would like to change the wheels at some point so thank you very much for this demonstration🙌🏾
Thank you for this video! The details are extremely helpful. This may be a silly question, but all wheels / bearings are compatible sizes, right (any bearing will fit any wheel, which will then fit on any quad skate?) I'm thinking about buying a pair of Jackson Vistas, which is an outdoor skate, but I skate at the rink a lot. Would it work for me to buy smaller & harder indoor wheels, and replace the wheels on the skates with the indoor wheels? Are some skates just made to be better outdoor skates in general, and would not work as well with indoor wheels on them? Thank you!
Thank you so much! This is so helpful, for my birthday I’m getting Chicago roller skates and those aren’t really good because the wheelers are plastic so I’m changing the, and loosening the trucks, I LOVE YOU SM AND YOUR VIDEOS LINDA💛🛼
I’ve been roller skating outside with my skates, but my question is if i wanted to go to a skating rink could i still use the same skates i have, or do i have to buy new ones cause I’ll be inside?
Hi my name is Imani. I have a quick question… if you want to change the wheels on your skates, does you new wheels have to be the same size as your old wheels?
Those wheels are so pretty! I’m trying to remove my fixed toe stops, they are so tight! It has an Allen head and I’ve stripped 3 allen wrenches so far 😓
Yes, if you hear the clicking sound your wheel is too loose! Tighten it so you don't hear the clicking sound any more, but make sure there's still enough room so that the wheel can spin continuously, like at 5:16
Not an expert but your best bet is to take it apart, find the hair, take it out, and then put everything back together. Wiping them down while they’re off might help too
I’m buying my first pair of skates and they come with 54mm wheels but I wanna buy light up wheels to change out. For the most part, A LOT of the light up wheels are 58mm or bigger. Would it be okay to replace my 54mm with 58mm wheels? Thank you for the tutorial!
Oh hahahah and alsow, I don't like to have my toe-stops on my rollerskates. But because I can't buy toe plugs here I don't have any stop on my skate and that scares me😳
Congratulations on becoming an ambassador! That is so amazing, I have thoroughly enjoyed your skating videos and your positivity.
Thank you so much for your support and love! :') I appreciate it so much!
Love how you explained and showed everything without rushing. Really helpful video!
Thank you for your feedback! 🥰
I just bought a pair of skates to start my skate journey again and I wanted to change the wheels and this is the best video so far. Thanks
agreed
and same just bought skates 2 days ago 😂
So how do you take the bearings out without a bearing press?
Thankyou for sharing this in detail.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! I literally JUST bought some radar energy wheels that I'll have to put on and this was super helpful and easy to understand!!
Yay I love the radar energy wheels I hope you enjoy them too! Thank you for the feedback 💖
This video was super super helpful, I like how so shows and explains how to do it. It makes a lot of sense. I think I got this
Can’t wait to start skating again! My new school does roller skating as a fun sport so I’m dying to buy a pair (my others don’t fit, I bought them 5 years or so ago
Wow as a sport that is so cool!! I wish I had that option back in school 😂
I just got the fundae wheels and is it necessary to have a washer? Mine feel like there’s too much wiggle room.
Thank you!! I was gifted some skates from a friend and the wheel like sticks on one of them so now I know how to check and replace the wheels!❤🎉
Very helpful video!! Thank you.
Thank you, that’s super helpful I’m having to take off my outdoor wheels for new indoor and had no clue.
Thanks for the assist👍🏼
Very informative and I love the second camera angle.
Can we remove the whole part which is under the shoe including the wheels?
What’s the piece between the two bearings of ur original wheels? We don’t need it right?
Thank you!!n so helpful 😭 im gna change my wheels to the fundaes pink!’
So you don’t need spacers on roller wheels?
Super helpful ,thanks Linda
Thank you so much I needed this so I could finally start skating again
That was really helpful. And I’m going to check out that skate store. Do yo have any videos about the wheels themselves? I’m trying to figure that out to make my outside skate experience better.
So helpful! Thank you for explaining everything and naming all parts!
Is that a black suede boot? If so where did you get your skates?

I took my old wheels off and there are no washers. Is that normal?
Ty for this video
I purchased some roller skating wheels for my wife's skates. And they will not fit, there is not enough length to put the nut on. Suggestion, please.
Are those lock nuts?
Thanks for the assist and good luck in your endeavors.
Hi! Can you use the original bearings on the new wheels?
Wondering the same
Thank you for this! I changed the wheels on my Sure Grip Boardwalks but reused the bearings. There was this black thing in between the 2 bearings. What is that? Do I need to put that on my new wheels?
Can you replace the original rainbow wheels for outdoor wheels?

Amazing explanation. THANK YOU!! 🙏👍

@@cheunglindaa has already helped! I needed to buy some bearings 😁
Can you use old bearings? Or do you need to buy new ones?
Omg this was so easy to understand and it was so helpful ty omg
What roller skates do you have? Also what roller skates do you recommend for outdoor use? Especially ones that are budget friendly.
Excellent description. You make a good ambassador. Looking forward to seeing your videos.
Thanks! this helps alot!
Righty tighty - lefty loosey ❤
Ahhh! Congrats! Ive watched your whole journey of skating and ive learned with you, i love your vids so keep rollin!
Thank you so much for following the journey!! 🥺💗
Hey Linda thanks for this informative video 👍🏼 I just got my first pair if skates so helped a lot 💜
This was very helpful because my three children including my husband and I now have our own skates and we would like to change the wheels at some point so thank you very much for this demonstration🙌🏾
How come they tell me I have to buy 8 wheels for mine? Riedell bought at roller skate nation
OMG SO HELPFUL THIS MENT THE WORLD 😍😍😍
Great info!! Cute wheels too ☺️
Thank you for this video! The details are extremely helpful.

What is that tool called please ???
The one she used to loosen the wheel? If so its called a "y3 tool"
I’ve been roller skating outside with my skates, but my question is if i wanted to go to a skating rink could i still use the same skates i have, or do i have to buy new ones cause I’ll be inside?
It depends on the hardness of your wheels! Check out Dirty Deb’s video she explains the difference between wheels very well 😊
I just followed along! ♥️ I'm trying out the Atom Pulse wheels.
This was super helpful
Such a great video!
Thank you very much
this helped out so much! thank you 🧡
Hi my name is Imani. I have a quick question… if you want to change the wheels on your skates, does you new wheels have to be the same size as your old wheels?
No they do not, as long as they fit and run smoothly there isn't a problem
Those wheels are so pretty! I’m trying to remove my fixed toe stops, they are so tight! It has an Allen head and I’ve stripped 3 allen wrenches so far 😓
This is great, but I can’t find any videos about WHEN you should replace your wheels.
Hello, is it normal for wheels to come out of the bearings while you are skating?
No it isn't, if the bearings come out of the wheel they're not fully in and you need to fix that
Bro, an ambassador?? That's so fucken dope lmao. Good shit Linda I'm proud of u :))
Thank you so much 💖
Thanks for the explanation!! Do you guys think it’s necessary to have spacers in between the 2 bearings?
I'm a artistic skater, I recommend taking out the spacers as they slow you down. When you take them out it will be much easier to get around.
@@siennahughes8807 Ooo thanks for that tip! Love your vids :)
Thx!!!
I was told that little click sound mean that it’s not too loose and not too tight so should I tightn mines so I don’t hear that little sound 🥺???
Yes, if you hear the clicking sound your wheel is too loose! Tighten it so you don't hear the clicking sound any more, but make sure there's still enough room so that the wheel can spin continuously, like at 5:16
I tried ordering some skates but everything is sold out ☹️
There are some sure grip prisms currently in stock, but be sure to sign up for their email list! There are a ton of skates being released April/May :)
Those pineapple skates I literally have them from Candy Girl
How long did your old wheels last for
My old wheels are still good to use! I’ve only had them for a few months
I never got giving a washer with my skates
Thanks to You for this, i love the video i really aprecciate this.
Hello from Colombia :)
So you basically need that white tool to take out the bearings? I feel dumb for buying new wheels without knowing this.
the bought wheels don't come with the bearings?
YESSS!! I just ordered my first pair of skates and got some custom wheels!! Ahhh!!!
Hooray I can't wait for them to come in!!
Nice video
good. Girls can repair pulleys. Very handy.
YESS CONGRATS
Thank you 💖
ROLLER SKATE NATION AMBASSADOR 😭🙏🏻🙏🏻
BIG THINGS!! 🥰
Bye I put my new wheels on and forgot the washer from my old wheels lmao. I'm so dumb i was Like wait where are they
Hair got in the wheel somehow, and now it feels like skating in mud
Can someone help me?-

I counted 8 bearings…. Where do you see 16?
I'm so sad! I live in the Netherlands and I can't buy here any skate accessoires because they are not able here😭
By the way! Can you do a rollerskate video where you going to rollerskate with you're friends?😍
Oh hahahah and alsow, I don't like to have my toe-stops on my rollerskates. But because I can't buy toe plugs here I don't have any stop on my skate and that scares me😳
Ik heb hetzelfde,
Ik zal eens zoeken naar andere sites die misschien soort gelijke producten hebben.
Aw I'm sorry to hear that, maybe you can check to see if there are any local shops that may sell skate accessories near you? 🥺
@@HedyReyes ahh thanks! Anders moet je ook verzendkosten betalen enzoo
Uh oh. Not sure why but I may have thrown my washers away when I changed my wheels the first time...
If you look up "axle washers" on the Roller Skate Nation website you can purchase new ones if you need them!
