10:05 is actually not a Zelda Medley. It is the 2017 Nintendo Switch Presentation Trailer music. Yes that is actually what its called lol. It even has a remix in smash by that name. Just thought I would say that in case someone was trying to find it on its own.
Nintendo never ceases to make a Nintendo fan smile when it comes to their music. Thank you, Nintendo! I will be a Nintendo fan till the day my time on Earth comes to an end! Nintendo, forever!
Wow, hearing it live must have been amazing! it sounds great in the video though don't get me wrong. But every single song they choose was great. I personally loved gusty garden at the end
Hearing Gusty Garden for the first time when playing through Mario Galaxy was an otherworldly experience. Such a masterpiece. This jazz version is definitely one of the best renditions I've heard
The Ballad of the Goddess is my favorite piece of Zelda music ever created (ok well Gerudo Valley is incredible too). My largest complaint about Skyward Sword was not the controls, the repetitive areas, etc., but my greatest complaint was they never found some epic moment in the game to include the full-power version of the Ballad of the Goddess like they played here. It is slow and calm throughout the game.
The timing could not have been any better for when the people dressed like Mario and Bowser came walking through at the start of the Mario Bros. theme.
Is it just me or does this orchestra ensemble not sound as "full"? I feel like there are a couple of instruments missing that gives it that "depth" of sound that most orchestra have. Or maybe the room isn't accoustic enough? I think an erhu (instrument) that's used in the original TotK soundtrack is also missing and they substituted it with violins(?)
This is likely for a few reasons. The person recording this is sitting far to the left so the audio balance is shifted making it harder to hear everything on the right. Also the acoustics are pretty dead. It’s a convention center hall so not much room for the sound to reverberate. The orchestra is also not totally full like you’d hear in a professional setting. You are mostly correct though. Location of recording, location of orchestra, size of orchestra, all have a pretty large impact. Hopefully nintendo mic’d this and actually recorded it. Knowing them though…probably wishful thinking
Life in the Ruins still makes me emotional. It was such a great piece that gave the trailer all the momentum it needed, and the title gave me bumps. The Hero had fallen, the Princess was not there, Hyrule was devastated. Yet life goes on. Just so good.
Was fortunate enough to see this at HQ a few days before, in a smaller format. Then again live here at PAX/NL. I love how we support our players. Go Nintendo, Go!
One day, I’m gonna get to *a* video game OST concert/ orchestra thing. I don’t care which game it’s for, but I just want to be able to hear something like this in person
I went to the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra a few years ago and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Would definitely recommend going to a video game concert IRL, it's totally worth it.
@@rubenramos2328 Depends on where you live, you just have to keep an eye on concert halls near you. For example, I know Montreal is having a NES/SNES Orchestra concert in February. Trying to decide if I should go or not, since Montreal is 2.5 hours away and the concert is from 7-10 so I'd have to get a hotel.
I wanted to go to Nintendo Live so badly but i wasn't selected. Someday... someday I'll get to hear something like this live. And it'll be something so dear and important that I'll never forget it.
Wow, that guy talking about the treasure-chest-opening and puzzle-solving jingles and how Zelda music is one of the most important things to the series was straight out of E3 2011 when Miyamoto was introducing the Symphony of the Goddesses… I mean I guess there’s no real reason to change up the script. Just thought it was funny how it sounded line for line.
switch 2 rumours will never stop until the next console gets announced, then after like 3 years of that console being out there will be rumours about the next console.
@@LittleAl016 Yeah early zelda took a large inspiration from LOTR and arthurian legends, I mean the master sword is literally the sword in the stone + the excalibur.
Hey thank yall for uploading a long video of the concert band playing at Nintendo live. My only negative is I wish it was every single song in full they did throughout the 4 day event.😅
This is only highlights and there are songs missing If you look it up you can find some of them Like one of the songs they played was in Link's Awakening (I don't think anyone posted the full thing unfortunately)
I wonder if the Zelda portion can be considered a taste for if they decide to bring back Symphony of the Goddesses.
I wish. I went to one of those concerts and it was amazing.
@@Medoliena Same. Thrice, even.
I've never been to one, would absolutely love to go to one!
I HAD TICKETS but got a migraine so my Grandma who knows nothing about Zelda went in my place lol (she liked the music tho ;)
Ah, I’d LOVE to go again. Absolutely amazing experience and if you get the chance-GO SEE IT
Nintendo has always done an amazing job with orchestrated music.
this just melts my heart, hope i can hear the zelda music live someday
Me too
same
Roger that.
I had a ticket to Nintendo Live but it conflicted too much with my college.
@@josephjoestar515 damn. that really sucks
is Gusty Garden Galaxy not the greatest piece of music ever put in a video game? Like, god damn, what a powerful theme.
IKR!!!!??
It's definitely up there with Aquatic Ambience.
@@ritzgamez which is my personal favorite!!
I teared up when they played it during the credits of the Mario movie

Makes almost want another Mario & Zelda Big Band Live like they did in the 2K era
Man wish they did the BOTW Hyrule castle theme and TOTK Colgera but DAMN was this a good show! Praying for the return of goddess symphony
God, the TOTK/BOTW sections....I'd be bawling my eyes out. And Gusty Glade Garden......
Chills

Calling it now, this will be live at the Game Awards.
For sure
Indeed. It is the actual game of the year across creative and technical fields.
God I hope you’re right!!!
I want them to play the official 3rd trailer music at the game awards that would be amazing
Prolly.
Dang the totk theme ALWAYS has me tearing up, + goosebumps, but the orchestral version of these is incredible
Wow I did see that it is so beautiful music ever make me cry 😭

That’s my buddy Jake Sele on piano there!! Was talking to him yesterday about this performance!! Sounds amazing

Than rendition of Zelda's Lullaby is. SO. GOOOOOD. All the little flourishes here and there really make the piece.
Still can't get over how sexy Ganondorf looks in tears of the kingdom
🤨
Real
The Zelda & Mario Orchestra looks like it would be pretty cool to see live!
THAT'S SO AMAZING OMG! I wish they will do it for the game awards as well
They probably will they are definitely doing an orchestra for the legend of Zelda totk
I bet totk will be nominated, and thus it will get orchestra, even if it doesn’t win
Their execution of the Zelda main theme was outstanding... it really sounded legendary! And the sax at the end for Mario Galaxy... out of this world!!
I love the Super Mario super big band concert and the Legend of Zelda Orchestra concert both of them are absolutely brilliant and fantastic.
The timing could not have been any better for when the people dressed like Mario and Bowser came walking through at the start of the Mario Bros. theme.
Thank you for capturing this beautiful moment in time

I wish they would do the official concerts again. A BOTW, AOC and TOTK concert. Oh my gosh just thinking about it my heart is swooning!

13:29 ultra instinct time💥💥💥💥 BOTW and TOTK the BEST games ever made.

I haven't even hit play but with just the title and timestamps I automatically hit the like button
Gusty Garden Galaxy brings me "tears of the joy"
Do we have some info regarding the actual orchestra playing ? Who are they ? Do they have a website/instagram/soundcloud ?
When will they do an orchestra of Sky Station Galaxy?
Incredible 🤩
Thank you for this guys. Amazing event!
Why did you title 10:05 "Zelda Medley" when it was just the BOTW trailer score?
This whole thing just gave me insane chills. And the way Mario jumping lines up with the end is just perfect 😍
ZELDA is something else like a divine energy touch the creators of that game
Gusty garden will always give me chills. It’s so powerful
That Zelda's lullaby was just beautiful
The BotW trailer music gets me in the feels 😢
That Zelda music could have slotted into _Lord of the Rings_ and no one without prior knowledge would be the wiser.
Heck. The two franchises are even similar, thematically.

I wish Metroid had something like this. 😔

Atleast there's a channel "Songs from our Savefiles", they have performed an awesome Metroid orchestra
Check out Metroid Metal by Stemage it’s legit
I'm hoping for the return of the live Kirby Orchestra, or maybe even... dare I say it... a Smash Concert?
The Mario songs gave me actual chills 😳
So when we getting the Zelda orchestra touring again Nintendo?
The emcee sounds like Angemon.
That Gusty Garden arrangement was genius!
Did you end up missing any covers or did you record the entire thing?
If he did record the entire thing, he likely wasn't allowed to show it. Only 26 minutes of it, from the looks of things.
@@LittleAl016 fair point
I was able to record all of it, but didn’t have 90 minutes’ worth of space on my iPhone.

Where was this?!
Why there's no erhu? Also no ocarina...

Better hear this again at GOTY 😏
It’s a shame they only had one piece from Totk it’s strange how they have more representation for a 6 year old game then they do for a brand new one
