So true, you reap what you sow. I live in Canada, and we as a nation have installed the foundation for ageism and now are shocked that it exists. But like you said, it starts with everyone; there is no getting the government to fix this because it is illegal to discriminate and yet people still do it. It boils down to losing fundamental principles that we know about but refuse, such as Love thy neighbour as thy self. We know we should, but we choose not to. And the offshoot of not promoting Christ is separation.
The simple and obvious thing is to limit how far back you go in experience (a functional vs chronological resume is good but hard if an app wants dates). Eliminate certain positions from long ago. If you need more or specific help and a plan. Check this out. www.imbradleyrichardson.com/90daycareercoachcampaign

Well said!!! 🙌 thanks for commenting
If more people would sue it would make s difference. Companies who practice this should be held accountable.
All too often it’s subtle, hidden mindset that you can’t sue for or prove.
Can't we all just get along? Probably not. That's the sad part.
Would be nice wouldn’t it
It's easier to project villainy on another person or group than it is to acknowledge one's own failings.
Right!!! Victimhood
If I wasn't visually impaired etc. I'd have been working in either music store book store department store or car dealership
Any tips on how I can hide my age? When I'm applying so I can make it past the EEOC interview?
