    Recently my sister was in the hospital getting an electrocardiogram. I was in the room while it was done. The tech doing the test was a friendly guy so I started a conversation with him. Turns out he was a geologist at one time. That job was good for a long time but things started to go down hill. He decided he had to find another skill to pay the bills. He went to school for 6 months to become an EKG technician. Now he works in a hospital and is very busy. It was a good career change for him. And he was in his 50s.

      Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story! It’s a perfect example of how someone in their 50s can successfully pivot to a completely new field with determination and the right training. It’s amazing how he leveraged a short-term program to transition into a stable and fulfilling career. Stories like these really drive home the message that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. If you don’t mind, I’d love to share this example in future content to inspire others!!

    I am not over 60 but I want to retire early and I find these videos helpful. I want a board role. If you can refer to any video on that, it would be great. Already establishing a side hustle to monetize my hobby skills on Etsy and eBay as well as using my expertise for consulting side hustle. I think the time to get started is before, if you can do it. Building a brand can take time.

    $25 per hour as a self-employed non-medical senior caregiver. This is great for me. No ageism because seniors appreciate older people caring for them.

    Is starting a music group a lucrative option? I see the guitar in the background 🙂

      @BrandingStrategist  Месяц назад +1

      Great question! Starting a music group could definitely be a fulfilling creative reinvention, though it might not always be the most lucrative option. 😊 The guitar is a bit of a relic from my past-proof that our career paths (and hobbies) can take us in unexpected directions! Thanks for noticing, and I’ll have to check out your channel for some guitar pick inspiration!

      @BrandingStrategist  Месяц назад +1

      You're absolutely right-skills are key! Knowing your transferable skills and how they apply to different roles is essential. It’s also important to stay informed about what skills employers are currently looking for and to be proactive about learning new ones to stay competitive. With the right approach, your skills can truly become your superpower in overcoming age-related biases. Thanks for highlighting this!
