Wapiti Lake Wolves Chase Elk in Yellowstone

The Wapiti Lake pack set out to hunt elk in Hayden Valley recently.
You will be amazed at the way the wolf runs past other elk and the speed he is going when a target is chosen. And then be amazed again by the speed and endurance of both elk and wolf. Two more wolves join the chase. Watch until the end to see what happens on the Yellowstone River.

Wow awesome filming! It was amazing to see the wolves ignore the other elk, bypassing them. I wonder if it’s a smell/scent that tells the wolves which elk to select….. great great video!!!!
