To Jen: I was with someone for 10 years and told him from the start I wasn't going to have kids. He, and everyone around us, told him I was going to change my mind. I never did. I had to be the bad guy and break it off. I wanted him to have what he wanted. He was the greatest love of my life. He got married last year. I don't know if he had a kid or if she already has kids. But I'm just glad he's happy. I've had my own health battles so dating hasn't been a priority. And that's ok. It's hard. You will always ask yourself if you did the right thing. However, the ladies are correct. If he can't accept it, then you will have to move on. He will always resent you for it, even if he doesn't express it. His actions will be telling. You both don't need those games. I hope it works out for you both and you can stay cordial.
