Wow you guys don't listen to a lot of music do you? This guy doesn't have a style. Is he rock or country. He's not southern rock.... People like Jason Isbell and 400 unit, Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton, hell Dwight Yoakam beats this bad....Dwight has an AMAZING band. This can't hold a candle to stuff like Tom Petty. New music is pretty much garbage. It's like a jam band with a steel guitar.
Listen to almost all of those bands/artists. Sturgill plays second fiddle to none of them. And this current tour is the best version of Johnny Blue Skies & the band. Amazing artist, amazing live show!
Well done fellow Blue Skies Traveller. You made it. My realization came 9/20/24 at the Gorge Amphitheater. - BST Bodhisatva Level: Cacidy. You’ll know it’s me when we meet up one of these days.
So grateful to see Sturgill and this incredibly tight band jam for 3 hours in Bend Oregon this fall. Had a coastal hippie in a drug rug and dreds on my right, an eastern Oregon cowboy with a Stetson and a rodeo prize belt buckle as big as a frying pan on my left. Sturgill brought both to tears that night. Not many musicians can do that. I guess people are just people after all.
Saw in nashville in october..all the man did was come out on stage and play for three straight hours...the best show that i have ever seen..and i have seen a lot
I was there too! Straight from the moment he walked on to the moment he walked off, he was playing. It was amazing, I've never been to a show like it!! This band right now is literally untouchable. I'm coming back to these videos to try and relive my experience lol.
With lots of age and heartaches, i sing this song along with my LP record on a regular basis! I have no inhibitions how anyone else in my house hears me sing this song! - Soooo Please go ahead, i don't mind! very therapuetic for sure!!!
Holy shit!! This is amazing. I saw him in Lexington at Rupp arena last week play for 3 1/2 hours with no opener and no intermission. He’s on another stratosphere
I saw him at a club in Denver after his first album came out. There were about 8 people in the audience including the cocktail waitress. I was shocked that they played due to lack of attendance. They were grateful and put on a good show…. just guitars, bass and drums… Now here we are a decade later!
AWESOME STORY! - similar story, @ 1997 a band called "Tabithas Secret" was changing their name to Matchbox 20. walked into a small club, downtown Houston, around 11pm asked some guy, "when is the band going on stage????" well Rob Thomas said to me, we are about to go on. hang tight and enjoy the show!!!! I have been a fan of there music ever since!
Totally blown away. This is one of the best live sets I’ve listened to in years, and I’ve seen all the great acts the last 40 years or so. Definitely going to pull up to his show when he’s in California.
I got to see his show at Rupp Arena on Sept 27 and they played for 3.5 hrs straight. Best show I've been too in a long time. Really hope they end up recording and cutting a double live album of this set.
He’s been killing it this tour. I’ve been listening to every Nugs drop religiously at this point. I just can’t get enough after luckily seeing the band two nights almost just went second night. It was 6 hrs of lightning in a bottle and I’m still feeling the groove from his show. Sound is phenomenal the band is locked, lights are grooving and it’s only getting better. Dunno who I’d rather catch live at this point…The king is back. 🫠⚡️👑
Saw him In Brandon , Ms a week ago. I am still mesmerized at how good a show it was. One cannot put his live music in a simple box. Just 3 hours of non-stop great songs and musicianship over about a dozen genres. Amazing live.
Just saw this show in Nashville 10/25/24. Best show I’ve seen in my life-3 and a half hours moving from song to song without a break. Did a bunch of cover songs (Doors, Eurythmics, Prince) and made them all his own. Fantastic show.
Took my wife to ACL all 3 days. I was waiting for Sturgill on Sunday night the entire time. Blink 182 was fun Chappell Roan was great but Sturgill was the best by far
Got to see Sturg and the gang live last month, a highlight of my life! Such a treat to watch from my couch again! 🤯 The metal breakdown in Best Clockmaker!! 🫨 Might be my most favorite version of this song EVER!

My wife and I saw him night 2 at the Salt Shed in Chicago. Hands down best show. As per seemingly every stop on this tour no opener, no intermission and 3 solid hours of him and his band absolutely tearing the roof off the joint. It’s been over a week and I still think about that show at least once a day.
Chicago was amazing! The music is incredible and makes me feel so many emotions. Love him. Absolutely a music genius. I can't imagine my life without his music running through me.
So glad Sturgill joined Nugs for this tour. I couldn't go to the Chicago shows, because my wife and I just had a baby. I went through the grief of not being able to finally see Sturgill, to the joy of being able to listen to every show of the tour. With how awful crowds are these days, I'm totally okay with this trade off. Hopefully they keep touring and rolling out new material and covers, because I have to see him in person at some point.
