Colter Wall and Sierra Ferrell are two of the most unique voices and greatest talents going today. they both are keeping traditional genres alive and bringing this music to whole new generation. Love them both.
In an era where people will do anything to get their 15 seconds of fame, Colter is just so refreshing. He just doesn't care. He is who he is. Take it or leave it
I first listened to Colter when I was about 14 and his music introduced me to the whole country genre. He really inspired me a lot throughout some pretty rough teenage years and I'm forever grateful for his tunes.
Damn, Colter is the coolest dude in country music, hands down. I'll never forget the night I was cooking dinner at home and "Sleeping on the Blacktop" came up on the playlist I was listening to. I dropped everything I was doing to see who was singing like that. Been hooked ever since and got to see him live earlier this fall. What a legend.
Colter, Sierra, and Kassi Valazzla are all such unique talents. I see so much potential in all three, plus they’re genuinely good humble people. Love this, thank you. ❤
Same bro same. I’ve taken a step back from colter cause I’ve exhausted his albums so much but it’s been fun finding different artists who have similar talent
@@billyashworth7393 I’ve seen that one, colter is so close in all of his covers but I don’t ever think he’s done better than Townes. Not a bad thing cause colter is one of the best out there but that just goes to show how good Townes was
Colter is a Real one! Saw him in Idaho this year and it was exactly the type of show I enjoy! No need for lasers and crazy lights! Just a mic and his guitar! I’d pay to see him sit by a campfire and jam! He’s that dude!
My absolute favorite singer!! Thank you Colter for inspiring me to play the guitar and getting me more invested into music and song lyrics. Your songs are truly powerful. I really hope one day I get the chance to meet you or see you in concert. Also, you have a great mustache! God bless!
Truly a living country music legend. Got introduced to him at a show in Lincoln, NE. His encore song was Big Iron… to pull off a classic Marty Robbins song like he did is no easy task. Can’t wait to see how far this guy goes.
8:15 - Colter Wall music did that for me! It was quite a few years since I last played guitar, then one day I came accross Summer Wages on RUclips and I've been playing Colter's songs for the past two years, playing every single song he ever released and usually the live versions because his improvs are so good. And then after I knew all songs, I started composing a few from stuff I learned from him and went on other new and older artists. Been a great journey to get back into music, specially from a genre that has nothing to do with my country lol (Brazil).
I went and saw Colter in Vegas earlier this year and it was almost comical at first how he hardly talked at all and just played through song after song. But the more I sat there and listened, the more I realized he knew people were there for his music and not just his image and I actually loved how non flashy he was and just straight down to business. He put on a kick ass show. Hands down I think him and Zach Top are the best in the business at the moment. It’s cool that you were able to interview him!
I love Colter, been listening to him since ‘13 and have the coyote chewing on a cigarette tattooed also as large as it is on the vinyl sleeve on my upper left thigh. I adore his music so much.
I took my family to see Colter at Billy Bob’s in Feb 23’. It was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. He puts on a great show with iconic music that is timeless and honk tonk at heart.
Never listened to Colters music but gave “Talkin Prairie boy” a listen, really appreciate his older style. Feels more real than other singers. Seems like a genuine guy to.
Colter, you definitely are one of those guys who put people on to great music. I never listened to Waylon before I heard your "Let's All Help the Cowboys Sing the Blues" and now he's one of my favorite artists. Found Marty Robbins through your "Big Iron" too. And it's not only the covers, I had never heard Tyler Childers before you did Fraulein with him and I found Vincent Neil Emerson through you too! You were my gateway drug into country and western music some years ago now and these days it's pretty much all I listen to so I have to thank you for that, if by some chance you're reading this!
Man, this was so good. Colter Wall has been my favorite artist for a long time, now. I was lucky enough to see him for a super intimate show at Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge, MA back in 2017. The Local Honeys (one of my , since, all time favorite groups) opened for him as well. This show will always be my favorite show I've been to since it was at a local spot for me. This was a great interview and it was great to hear an interview between two legends!
Wow, fun interview! Pretty funny hearing a fella South of the River complaining about the length of the winter feeding. It's fun running yearling. We used to get more roping in when we ran yearlings. I have to say we're proud of him up here in Saskatchewan!
Rogan is crying right now
I’m crying right now
2 of my favorites !! 🤠 🤠 ✌️ ✝️ #rodeotime
Ha! poor rogan. Colter Joe is waitin on ya man
He should have went on Rogan instead
Yea he is lol
Colter Wall and Sierra Ferrell are two of the most unique voices and greatest talents going today. they both are keeping traditional genres alive and bringing this music to whole new generation. Love them both.
I didn't realize Dale Brisby had a long-form podcast, but I'm here for it.
In an era where people will do anything to get their 15 seconds of fame, Colter is just so refreshing. He just doesn't care. He is who he is. Take it or leave it

You got great taste in music.
@@DaleBrisbyBullRider Thanks, and thanks for having him on. It was an awesome episode!
His Las Vegas show last weekend was the best show I've ever been to!! So glad this generation is bringing back real authentic country 🙌🏻
Colter, Sierra, and Kassi Valazzla are all such unique talents. I see so much potential in all three, plus they’re genuinely good humble people. Love this, thank you. ❤
Coltor is so talented and humble. Very inspirational
I’d love to see Colter Wall and Charley Crockett play together. In Amarillo or Lubbock!
This, all of this
Yes sir, that would be a great show.
Would be the greatest show. Indeed.
Charley suuuucks haha
Colter is such a legend. True to himself and his values. Won’t find that in many folks these days.
What do you mean? How would you describe Colter's self and how has he been true to it?
Not any Americans.
The people who say they aren’t that interesting are generally the most interesting.
So cool to see Colter from this point of view. His music is amazing and he’s such a great person too.
Colter introduced me to Townes van Zandt who is now my most listened to and favorite artist of all time. Colter comes in a close second
Same bro same. I’ve taken a step back from colter cause I’ve exhausted his albums so much but it’s been fun finding different artists who have similar talent
Townes has been my top artist since 2018, listen to blaze also I know they get coupled together all the time but still
Townes is the only artist who’s songs cannot be covered as good as how Townes originally did it
@@TexanFlag Colter does an awesome cover of Mr mudd and Mr gold, whether it's better or not is up to you but I love both versions
@@billyashworth7393 I’ve seen that one, colter is so close in all of his covers but I don’t ever think he’s done better than Townes. Not a bad thing cause colter is one of the best out there but that just goes to show how good Townes was
I’d take over a small country to see colter live
The best country music artist in a long long time
Dude is the GOAT

I have never clicked on a video so fast 😂
About damn time he blesses us with an Interview.
Would love to see one of Colter's live concerts one day. All the best from Northern Ontario.

Colter played at Codfish. It was easily the best show I’ve ever seen. Down North is the best venue ever. RIP Uncle Jerry
Love this mans music. Classic, and dang cowboy puncher music right here
Truly a living country music legend. Got introduced to him at a show in Lincoln, NE. His encore song was Big Iron… to pull off a classic Marty Robbins song like he did is no easy task. Can’t wait to see how far this guy goes.
Already a legend. He’s the best doing right now in my opinion
