They did a metric fuckton of processing to the samples, mostly done in serial. Eq, compression, expsnsion, saturation, more eq, stereo imaging, MORE eq, more compression, etc

Never pay for anything no matter what anyone tells you. Everything is free and accessible for learning. Start by re-creating something that already exists and break it down by all the steps to get there. Somewhere in that journey you’ll learn everything you need to know
To get the drop in pitch it would have been through slowing the track down, the original sample track is faster. That’s why it’s not full perfectly in tune to a key

It would have been nice of daft punk to pay the royalty is directly to Eddie rather than to the company and had just kept it quiet that they even sampled it. Those three clips are very small and insignificant and so without somebody having said something; I doubt Eddie's producers would even have realized that this song had been clipped in order to sue him or ask him for any of the royalties to begin with. But knowing that they did and that it was Eddie's songs; if they were going to pay royalties they should have just kept their mouth shut and sent it directly to him. This is why a lot of the new artists that are coming out now have gone independent. Typically the artist only sees between 10 and 20% of the revenue that is generated from any of their songs or tours. Yet Independence keep 100% of their money and it is only a distributed between those within their own studio. We wouldn't have problems like what Eddie went through not getting paid for royalties on this song if there were more Independent artists instead of corrupt agencies taking 80 to 90% of their money.
It's actually -1.5 semitones. One More Time (and the entire Discovery album) is in A432Hz tuning, and More Spell on You is around 20 cents sharp from A440Hz. So since A432Hz is ~31 cents flat from A440, you just decrease by 50 cents to get the tuning correct and add a semitone to put the samples in key
