It’s been reported that Thomas has been experiencing major tinnitus and hearing loss over the recent years (which is why he stopped DJing). I think the hearing loss would have played a big part in this decision for them to retire

I love this. My father introduced me to Daft Punk at a very young age. I remember seeing there ALIVE tour videos on TV the pyramid stage has always been the most iconic most mesmerizing thing I’ve ever seen. Well deserved I hope we get another album soon but then again I feel their legacy is solidified as the greatest musicians of all time.

What amazes me and raises my level of respect for Daft Punk is how they don’t care about the award itself, but value everyone’s contribution into RAM. And now knowing that they split up, it’s a bittersweet moment that no Daft Punk fan will ever forget.
