You’re everything! I’m learning as I grow how to blossom like you. My question is, and maybe a Q&A would be helpful… But how do you and Alex keep things smooth without arguments? Because me and my husband are always under attack due to the kids..
If you're loving shaved Brussel Sprouts, ur gonna love this...Sautee bacon in a pan, I use the already cooked one from Costco with a little EVOO, add shaved Brussels, salt n pepper..after 5 min add a splash of chicken stock to soften them slightly for like 3 to 5 min, and then add 2 TBSP of whole grain mustard and YOU'RE DONE..omg its AMAZING. 🎉❤
@@joyindrelie6715 ur welcome. U can even u panchetta and white wine instead of bacon and chicken broth. A little balsamic at the end will totally elevate the dish and change the whole flavor profile too!!!
@@thewadsquad lol 😆 Dijon works great here too OR even a little balsamic in place of mustard, but LESS IS MORE HERE...its like ginger root 💕 Happy Cooking 💕

I don't have ADHD, but I do have similar symptoms, so planning...buying said items at store and prepping the morning of cooking that meal sets me up for success.
A tip on shaving the Brussels sprouts. Don’t cut from the stem end. Hold it on that end and slice it from the top side. You are less likely cut your finger if you are holding onto the stem as a handle. Food looked great! I need to start using my GFG. I always forget about it.
I you add some tomato juice or even broth maybe to the "taco" mixture in the pot it would be like a taco soup I make. Soooooo good! LOVE your channel, thanks for putting so much happy in our days!
I learned a life changing tip for any meatloaf: whatever quantity of breadcrumbs you use, add an equal amount of milk. Bread dries out meat, so the milk adds back in the moisture that is so needed.
Love your cooking/ baking videos the most just because it's like hanging out while you're doing all the work but chatting it up 😄 plus, you gives me ideas for my dinner nights 🙂 Thanks for hanging out 💕
Love these inspiring dinners. I used to food process my onions and all veggies to add to meatloaf, spaghetti sauce, taco meat because my grandkids said they didn’t like onions or certain veggie but I processed all the veggies and they didn’t know what they were eating. One day, I purposely let out onions/veggie and let them taste the sauce. They said, what happened to the good sauce. I showed them the veggie mix and they said add it all in. After that no one really complained about onions or veggies.
Kim, order a kitchen aid hand mixer. I’ve had mine prob 15 years. I used to go through the 20.00 cheap mixers every year (making all the double/triple batches of cookie dough when my kids were in school) then bought the kitchen aid. It’s a champ!! I don’t have a stand mixer. All the recipes today look delish. I just subscribed to Elyse’s recipe plan, having fun with that. I’m making a notebook of her recipes like you have 😊☀️☀️☀️
I love tamale pie. My mom always made it and then now I do. Couple different things that I do I don’t use enchilada sauce I just put tomato sauce in it and I put a small can of tomatoes in it too. I do use the taco seasoning I don’t put beans in it, but I do put corn, and then of course add more chili powder to it. To thicken a little bit a quarter cup of cornmeal and then of course the cornbread on top. Yeah I need to make some. This recipe looks good too though.
Love all the recipes. I made tge sweet spicy pork and black beans in enchilada sauce was a hit. You inspire me. Last night i channeled Julia and made coq au vin, creamy whipped potatoes and french green beans with caramelized shallots. Bon apetit! Keep the recipes rolling. 😊 Hi to the family. Thanks for putting a little happy in our day! Peace!
I made meatloaf 2 weeks ago. I had a lot of Ritz crackers to use up. I used ritz instead of saltines. It was so good. I’m making it with Ritz for now on. So good!

For the basil plant, here’s what to do: plant it in the GROUND. Basil loves the ground so much more than a pot. It might wilt and get puny from shock at first, but it will adjust. Just give it time. Do not over water it. Herbs don’t like a lot of water, and they actually like poor quality soil. So don’t even put soil down, just plant it so it gets plenty of sunlight and isn’t sitting in a low, moist part of your yard. with the afternoon rains you get in summer in Florida, that should be enough water.
@@thewadsquad yes! You’ll have to try it and let us know. But it takes some time to mature and you may have to purchase some while you wait. Patience! 😉
I can’t help but think about the Halloween I made “feet loaf”. Just a regular meatloaf shaped like a foot. It was hilarious and everyone loved it. Onions as toenails. Disgustingly cute if that’s a thing.
Kim, use the Kinders buttery steakhouse on your Green beans, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, any "green vegetables" you cook. It makes them so delicious!! I learned this trick from a waitress at Longhorns.
In order to cut the veg really small so the kids can’t find. I’ve been using my food processor for all the chopping. I know it’s not as fun to watch, but it gets the job done quick and the family gets the flavor of the chopped veg without the pain of picking them out.
I love using a variety of colors when I use bell peppers which I use in a lot of my cooking. I also love the different colors in a salad or veggie board.

The Tamale Pie - suggest adding the corn & a can of green chillies (mild) or freshly diced jalapenos to the cornbread mixture vs with the meat mixture. Just adds a nice texture to the cornbread. 😊
I learned on RUclips the other day that spices never spoil unless they aren’t kept dry. ( yours definitely were lol). They just lose the flavor, so you have to use more. Also, just cut off the basil in leaves of 3. Only cut one or two groups of leaves down each stem. Don’t cut off the whole stalk the way you did. Preferably with scissors not a knife
