I use the whole slices of bread and toast them in my toaster. My mother in law made the best dressing. She mixed it with her hands and the read broke down and the finished product was patted down in a pan and you could slice it. Was absolutely great

I made the Velveeta Fudge & everyone was making fun of it but let me tell you something… it was DELICIOUS & completely gone by the end of the weekend. Even my DAD loved it and he’s a fudge snob 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Assuming this is "Not yo mama's banana pudding" (Paula Deen's recipe) I make it ALL the time... I always combine the pudding with the milk first... it solidifies almost immediately... then you stir that into the cream cheese/condensed milk mixture and fold in the Cool Whip at the end. It is mousse-like in texture and absolute heaven. I've also made a chocolate version that I put into a trifle with brownies that my best friend's husband requests EVERY time we have a gathering... LOL

@michelleslikelystories6266 Same recipe, I just swap out chocolate pudding for the vanilla... use box brownies and layer... brownies, pudding, cool whip, repeat. ❤️
It would also be good with a layer of sliced strawberries.

Stock is my number one use of my instant pot. Roast then pop everything into the instant pot for 4-6 hours and its delicious.

Hi, Kim! My mother cooked all the inners from turkey and boiled them. and when they were done would cut up the pieces and put them in her stuffing mix before stuffing the turkey. Best stuffing ever! My mother-in-law was from the South and she put hard boiled egg chopped up in her gravy! Delicious! Everyone has something from their childhood to give to the next generation if they want to keep memories alive! Hugs!🥰👍💜

I hope you are doing ok, I have osteoporosis in my knees but injured myself recently, been having physiotherapy twice a week for it, long term prognosis, eventual knee replacement was mentioned nut praying it doesn’t get to that. God bless you!

I keep a bottle of dry white vermouth in my refrigerator for when I want to cook with wine. It’s inexpensive, tastes great, and lasts pretty much forever. Make sure it’s the dry one, not the sweet one. 😊

I made a turkey this year too. Yours looks amazing and you did not cook it covered. I did but it was sooo good only the 4th time I have ever cooked a Turkey. It was pretty easy. However you win my GOSH the amount of amazing things that you made unbelievable. Happy Thanksgivng!!!!!

I’m glad to see you homesteading I would if I wasn’t alone and living in an apartment. I do stock groceries. I can broth and garden supplies people give me or I get at the farmers market. I live in northern SD. Our growing season is very short. By the time the garden is ready it freezes.

I made homemade stuffing like this, homemade 3 layer caramel apple cake, homemade white cupcakes, homemade fudge, scallop corn and green bean casserol. No one really ate any of it either. Its sad and i wont be slaving around in the kitchen next year. I do because i love to but i dont want food to go to waste.

I wish I could eat cilantro. Unfortunately, it is a gene that causes the soap like taste. NO matter what, it always will. 😢😢😢
My grandma used to use the nexk and gibblets for gravy. I always make cranberry sauce myself but if my father in law comes over he wont eat it unless its out if rhe can in the little loaf he loves so much. Aeriously he remonds us if they are coming to get the can.
Vinegar lasts a long time it’ll probably be fine to use next year. All looks delicious 😋
I make cornbread stuffing. I do put in some of the stuffing mix that is seasoned but to give taste. Some salt pepper and sage. I sauté my celery and onion in butter then put in my dressing mixture. Put in a couple of boiled eggs and some pimento to add color. Pour in chicken broth so it won’t be dry then bake until sort of firm and golden color.
I made my own cranberry sauce last year and it was so good! I still like the canned kind too though. Everything looks great, Kim!
