Try using gamakatsu single large eyed hooks instead of trebles. I know of plenty of friends that use them over trebles, even on small jerkbaits. Better hook-up ratio, less tangling and damage to fish
Nice perch fishing with the popper, lot's of fun! This evening i missed a very big pike, before i saw him it was off 😟 tomorrow i'm gonna fish with surface lures, allways fun! Nice video mate 👍👌🥇
Awesome vid as always man.just wondering if you know anybody that services the Komodo ss 364? Had it for a few months now and only used it about 4 times but when I’m casting it’s making a loud clicking noise but when I retrieve my lures it won’t do it and have no clue at all what it could be.
Awesome video bro . Would love to see you try the 4cm savage gear popper . You could probably catch multiple species on that tiny thing it's so cool didn't put mine to use much yet tho buy after watching this ill be trying more topwater 😆
nice, how do you cast so well with a kastking baitcaster with such light lure and low test line? i thought youd need rather high end baitcasters for any bfs setup, and would expect the line dig into itself more, but youre casts seem great.
Aright mate do u go through loads of wire traces with them being bent or keep using them an wa do u think of buying them to making them.whats ye thinking thanks.
@@pikeandperch ima av to try dem nice 1. my green Chinese 1ns alls I av haha.they bend crazy thought tats all there was didn't kno titanium acts like tha.not many tackle shops by me. thanks I'm onit now wellin
This probally sounds a bit weird but try not to set the hook too hard. The fish will go up for the lure and down again and that is when they hook them self. If you set the hook when it is still up in the water you will throw the lure out of their mouth.
As troublesome as pike to nail with topwater lures. For the duck weed, I saw somebody have a bit of success with perch using a frog with the 'legs' cut of.
Cant wait for the pikachu lure vid 🎣

Can confirm. Hook set is nearly always in the hinge and they pick up less weed too.
Thank you for trying new lures and types of rigs !
Okay I haven’t even seen one second and I’m buzzing, gonna try this tomorrow morning 👍🏼 hopefully I see it works
@@pikeandperch I had success! Had a perch about 1 - 1.5lb on Rapala skitter pop 5cm.
You should do a video on best lures for different conditions, weather, temp, time of year etc
You can't beat surface lure fishing can you pal, well done 👍

Another great vid, I caught my first fish with a homemade top water popper. It was a good tench too :)
Nice top waters poppers👍

What do you make of that reel? Its been sitting in my basket for a couple days lol just wasn't sure about it 😅
What size popper is that buddy? Looks like about 70mm. I searched Bomber Popper and came up blank.

Like the sound of that bfs reel with a clicker, definitely saves spending £150 on a Shimano Scorpion.
Brilliant video buddy

What if you change to single hooks would that work?
Oooo nice idea!
Are you using a pike wire trace?
What size is that popper pal? Never caught a perch top water. Top vid!
Great video agian!
Amazing top water blowups
Great vid keep it up👍
Ive been using worms n maggots just a lil switch up and they never wise up constant hits 18 perch one day no pike
You would think with all the smaller or SMALL perch that the bigger perch would be schooled up under the smaller or mixed amongst them. 🐟🎣🇦🇺
nice video man !! But you are so close to hooing your self. No need for two treble hooks. easier for you and the Fish.
need a poppin frog topwater lure
you always look to the side windows, do you have a script written on them or something

@@pikeandperch The hookup rate wasn't good, but at least he wasn't dragging dusk weed out and snagging lilies.
First ,now let's watch
This seems soo American lol
