this band are local to me in leicestershire and they used to come to our local fair dressed like that amazing

@@ajrfinance7767 Everybody mimed on these kind of shows. I saw them live several times in the 1970s and can tell you, they can sing and play their own instruments. They were awesome and very good entertainment.

I sang this to one of my wee clients to get her to walk...I'm a care worker,this song brings a smile when I think of that special wee lady..she had dementia. But she was amazing and still is.

Born in 1972- what a fantastic childhood I had with music, tv and films! Watching this is like stepping into a Time Machine! I remember the faces so well.
It's criminal that they only had one No. 1 record. Never a poor performance from Showaddywaddy.

What a fantastic live band, they encourage the ladies up to jive with them. I've seen them several times, and I'm hoping to see soon. First I got to get my friend to come with me. I'm 71 now and I would love to see them. I annoy the neighbours while I'm cleaning dancing around to their music. Such brilliant bands came out of the 70's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was a teenager when this came out and this brings back such happy memories. That was the time when not only we listeners enjoyed the music but you can see the band were having a brilliant time too.
I feel so sad for youngsters today - they have the likes of Cardi B, Rap and Kardashians as their heroes. How music has fallen. Like all entertainment in the West, it has been deliberately dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

No Shirley, the 1970s were a great time. This was regularly played in 1976/77 when I had my first love and this was so romantic. Do the kids today even know what romance is?

It was a time that we could not forget because the way of life in Britain was so different to how it is today and in a way it was good that if someone tried to get in touch by phoning the pub where you drank the barman or who ever answered the phone would walk over and say are you here or not That was was brilliant as you could could say yes or no We can't do that no more more

Takes me back to school disco days! The excitement and anticipation, a new outfit and, on one occasion, a very bad Rod Stewart haircut that still haunts me to this day, despite that, some wonderful memories!

This came out when I was 10 years old. They won a talent competition on TV with this. It was the first song that caught my attention as a young boy. For a while they were my favourite group. ( I've still got the album Red Star.)
The guy in green at the front, his brother ran our local youth club. He turned up in some showaddywaddy shoes his brother gave him once. Wonderful days
As a certified 'travel champion', I just wanna say to guy that was in Showaddywaddy, had I been in a better state of mind that day when you told us that you had been in the band, I woulda bust into song, probably this song....you guys were huge when I was kid - you were heard absolutely everywhere and you were brilliant too. I was there and I remember. Keep on rockin'!

A verypopular band, when I was a kid.They influenced my musical interests greatly. It was the 1950's/60's revisited.
Weird I know but when I was younger travelling in my grans car at night,’ there was a full moon 🌕 and this song come on the radio and my nan and grandad were singing along to it!!! So so many many happy memories 🥰!!!!!!!!!!!

К сожалению,в особенности роком я тогда не интересовалась,так что названий групп я помню два:" Шоваддивадди" и ВЕЛИКИЕ" THE SWEET"(последних я потом купила себе гибкую грампластинку( если Вы жили в СССР,то помните,что в свое время выпускались такие: с одной стороны - 2 наши песни, с другой- 2 не наши).
