Maybe test with 556 a more popular more powerful round? Specifically in 62gr green tip which is what is sold in bulk all across America as well as 7.62x51. A true level 3+ should handle that.

Alao testing with a standaed 16in barrle will also probide more of a real world test that will produce better ballistics than a pistol verson. Just a thought!

Does anyone know if these plates will withstand 5.56 M193 out of a 16in ? I know there new av2 does but can’t find any video showing this plate taking full 3200fps

Level 3+ armor tests have to be done with rifle calibers rounds out of rifles with 16+ inch barrels so that the 2A community can have a better idea of which level 3+ plates are worth buying.

I think supposedly my 3+ plates are good for 3 hits from .308. I would not want to test that however.

I wonder what the test would look like with a frag bag.
