    Thanks for the updates. What do your thoughts on plastic full wrap plastic hand guards vs full wrap metal ones?

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      I’ve had many versions of metal ones, ones that mount on the bars, other that clamp on your bar mounts (cycra) what I found was l they add rigidity to your bars, eliminating the natural flex they are meant to have. What I do now is run these lighter more flexible plastic ones that allow bar flex. I also run them loose so when they take a hit they move and don’t break. I ride mostly in tight wooded areas and any full wraps are a must. Can’t count how many times my pinky fingers would have taken hits.

  • @suzuki06g
    @suzuki06g Год назад

    We are both woods riders with the same bike, care to share any suspension tips in getting the XC to work in the woods? Also, what guard are you using on the throttle body? Thanks!

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад +2

      My suspension is pretty simple. Forks 130 PSI, 19 out compression, 19 out rebound. Shock 17 out compression 17 out rebound, 2.5 turns out on the high speed. I'm 175-180lbs without gear. It's a Enduro Engineering Guard. I go over all the bits on the bike in my 15 hour review.

  • @wfodavid
    @wfodavid Год назад

    I'm on a 22 and a little apprehensive about so many comments about the bike being too stiff? Your views please?

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад +1

      I like it more then the 22, I had that bike for 170 hours. This one is better, more plated tracks better an improvement overall. Still running stock and I ride a lot of technical stuff.
      I think a lot of the complaints are from reviewers that also sell suspension upgrades. I think we’ll see the same with the 24 XCW, it will start as it’s great but then it will change to it can be better buy this!
      Could this suspension be better? Sure most can with more money, but I’m happy!

    I just picked up a 2023 300 xc.... I had it for a hour and I got a '5 blink' error code. I need to bring it in on Tuesday. It seems like you are having good luck. Whats your thoughts on the extended warranty? I didn't get one..... Thanks!

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      There no such thing for extended warranty here in Canada that I know of 30 days only.
      I just try to ride it as much as I can in 30 days see if there’s any issues.
      Error code is a small issue. Dealer will fix that for free even after 30 days.

    I assume the additional oil on the packing is due to premix versus injection. We chatted at McNutt yesterday about your bike. I'm gonna ride McNutt tomorrow. If you're interested, let me know.

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      Some oil out the silencer is normal for a 2 stroke. I clean it after every ride. If it’s excessive make sure you’re in the latest map, that’s map is 104. Unfortunately you have to go to your dealer to find this out.

    Nice video. Can you tell me what fuel, oil, and spark plug your using. I fouled a plug on the line at a race with only 7 hrs on the bike. Not sure if it's the warmup or something else that might have caused it.

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      Pump gas 91. Motorex, br7es, had the stock 8 in and switch just to see, noticed no difference.
      Do you have map 104 in the bike?
      Do you warm it up like a TPI bike or a carb bike? The tbi bikes don’t like the warm up like a TPI’s where you just idle it with no throttle input. They want to idle for 30 seconds or so and then some light blips of the throttle.

    • @1Rustychain
      @1Rustychain Год назад

      @@TechEnduro Thanks for getting back to me. Im using pumped non ethanol 92. I just bought a BR8EIX to try out. But im coming from an 03 CR250. Not used to the electronic stuff yet. Need to catch up on the times. I think it was the way I warmed it up. According to a factory guy. Start the bike with the cold start (yellow). Let idle for about 15 seconds. Take it off cold start and let idle again for about 60 sec. No throttle yet. Thats to let the ECU adjust for the temp and pressure sensors for the FI system. If you throttle up before the 60sec then everytime you throttle it resets the countdown for the system. After that you can throttle short revs to warm it up and slowly clean it out. Then if all goes well you should be rippen. Does that sound about right?

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      @@1Rustychain
      Sounds exactly right! The only thing would be to make sure you have the 104 map. That fixed 2 things. If you accidentally pressed the starter button while the bike was running, it would flash an error code, the other main thing was fouling plugs on start up

    • @1Rustychain
      @1Rustychain Год назад

      @@TechEnduro What tells me I have the 104 map? I didn't see any flashing codes.

    • @TechEnduro
      @TechEnduro  Год назад

      @@1Rustychain it kinda sucks that you’d only know if you brought it to a dealer and had it plugged in. Alternatively, you could hit the starter button while the bike is running, if that produces an error code, you know you’re on the old map.

      None. From my tests with a multimeter, lots of fan on riding and other people’s experiences I’ve found that the bike can run a light or a fan reliably but not both completely reliably.
